1. Files Open with Guides Hidden

   Version of Adobe InDesign, InCopy or InDesign Server: InDesign 2025 (20.0.1)
   Steps to reproduce the issues: Create new INDD file or open existing INDD or INDT file
   Expected result: Opened file shows guides
   Actual result: Opened file does not show guides

   Opening any new or existing file in InDesign 2025 opens the file with guides turned off. Opening the same existing files in InDesign 2024 opens the file with guides turned on.

2. pdf compare

   Hi Team,

   While performing Textual compare in Acrobat DC if there is any changes in optinal hypen in a Paragraph it not shown in the compare report both Textual and Visual.

   But if we perform the same test in Acrobat 7 optional hypen changes show perfectly. We are ready to use Acrobat DC but becuase of this issue we are still using Acrobat 7. We mentioned this compare issue number of times but no action was taken so far.

   I attached Compare report (Text and visual) of Acrobat 7 and DC. I also attched the Acrobat DC version that we used, and Acrbat DC compare setting. Also attached sample PDF for your reference.

3. New Format in InDesign CC

   Beim Anlegen eines neuen Formats kann man rechts oben im Optionsmenu die genauen Masse eingeben. Mit der TAB-Taste kommt man dann ja immer eine Option weiter. In Adobe Illustator und in Photoshop funktioniert das in der gewünschten Reihenfolge, im InDesign (deutsche Version) nicht: da folgt nach der Breitenangabe bei betätigter TAB-Taste die Frage nach der Einheit (z.B. mm etc.) und dann (nach weitere TAB-Taste) erst die zweite Grösse des Dokuments (also die Höhenangabe). Eigentlich sollte die logische Reihenfolge ja lauten: Breite > Höhe > Einheit.

   In english:
   When creating a new format, you can enter the exact mass in the upper right corner of the Options menu. With the TAB-key you always get an option. In Adobe Illustator and in Photoshop, this does not work in the desired order, in InDesign (German version): since the width is indicated by the TAB key pressed, the question is about the unit (eg mm etc.) and then (after another TAB key) ) Only the second size of the document (ie the height). Actually, the logical order should be yes: Width> Height> Unit.

4. Saving a document

   There's a strange problem when I try to save a document in InDesign. It doesn't happen every time but it's reoccuring and quite annoying. When I try to type something in the "save as" field, all the characters change as if Cthulhu has taken over the system. The only way to be able to save is to cancel and try again until it doesn't happen. This problem has only occured in the Adobe Indesign 2021 version.

5. Share for Review is showing files in low res very blurry

   I'm using PSD files linked in my InDesign, they look blurry like low res even the fonts used in the PSD https://assets.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:4e60c8e1-8ba1-46f0-af66-23ef2b71ac21?view=published

   Is there any option to share for review low res or high res please let us know, but I don't remember this happening to me before, they were shared always clear.

6. Problem with variable fonts letter tracking

   1. Adobe Indesign 15.1.2

   2. There is a problem with letter tracking in variable fonts (please see attached photo)
      I've tried two licensed variable fonts and it occurs with all of them
      (Myriad Variable & 29lt Bukra Variavle)
      I've not changed the default values for letter kerning nor tracking.

   3. Expected results: I expect the text to have the correct letter tracking

7. ID will crash on awake (MacOS)

   Adobe InDesign, for the last two, three versions (current 16.2.1), will crash 100% of the time when the Mac comes back from sleep mode. I'm running MacOS 10.15.7 on two separate Macs (iMac 2020 and an over Mac Book Pro), both with plenty or RAM, and this will happen 100% of the time on both systems. I've reported this several times but when you issue a new update to "fix bugs" this one persists.

8. permission issues

   We just upgraded the with new iMac Pros and installed Adobe CS 2020 on all the computer over the weekend.

   When they open up InDesign documents there is a major issue and it is consistent.
   
   When the first user opens a document from the server - they can work on the document edit make changes and save it back to the server no issues
   
   When another user open the same document next they also can work on the document edit make changes and save it back to the server no issues
   
   When the 3rd user  opens the document it opens as a READ ONLY document and after that anyone who opens the document has the same issue.
   
   The problem is consistent and can be duplicated.
   
   We checked all the permission on the server and they are set right.
   
   The server is Mac OS Siera - the workstation are iMac Pro with Mojave
   

    I even had Adobe Support connect and gave access to the computer and they could not figure it.

9. Texte disappear when replacing font by another using Find a font in the Texte menu

   Using the command "Search for a font" in the "Text Menu" to replace a font (Times New Roman for example) by another (Adobe Garamond Pro for example), the texte disappear, it is erased if I valid "Replace All".
   I have to verify it works for the first occurrences before to validate "Replace All" to be sure the bug will not occur.
   This is very insecure if we don't verify and trust the command "eyes closed" !

10. Font display issue with certain fonts in images from clipboard (18.1 x64)

    We use a charting service called Macrobond, and copy images from that software to insert in InDesign. The following buggy behavior is observed:

    When using certain fonts in the chart, the pasted image in InDesign displays those fonts in miniscule sizes. That does not happen with other fonts fonts.

    I suspect the issue stems from different ways in which InDesign handles the various fonts based on whether they are included or third-party (or perhaps depending if they are installed locally on the PC or is fetched from the Adobe library).

    In this example the first image shows a problematic chart using Arial Regular and Arial Bold Italic.

    The second image shows the chart using variations on the Myriad Pro font installed manually on the PC. Both charts were inserted into InDesign using the same method: copying the chart in Macrobond and pasting it into InDesign.

    Similar errors are exhibited when using Adobe Acrobat to generate PDFs in PowerPoint based on those same types of images with the same problematic fonts, so is not isolated to InDesign.

11. Crash on deleting duplicated XML tag

    Indesign CC 2019 (Version 14.0.1)
    Mac OS Mojave on Mac mini (Late 2014)

    Hello, I have a document ready to import XML data, with existing XML structure and tagged elements in page.
    Afterwards I import XML data into XML structure and then duplicate (copy and paste) text frame that contains a table with an image placed into a cell table.
    If I try to delete resulting duplicated XML tag, application crashes.
    Same result if I duplicate (copy and paste) XML tag directly.

    These are the steps:

    1) Open document with prepared XML structure and tagged elements in page.
    2) Import XML file into XML element.
    3) Duplicate text frame that contains table (copy and paste)
    4) Delete duplicated "Table" tag

    The problem seems to be in copying XML element (or text frame) and them paste it: resulting XML structure of the element is incomplete for the cell that contains the image.

    Nothing happens if I import XML into new document without structured and tagged XML.

    Expected result: delete XML duplicated tag
    Actual result: application crash

       iii. The file does not preview unless Overprint Preview or Separation Preview is on.

    3. Expected result
       The file previews normally and objects below can be seen through transparent parts of the graphic.

    4. Actual result
       The graphic does not preview. Objects above (yes, above) the graphic are hidden as well. It only appears in Overprint Preview or Separation Preview. If the pattern fill is expanded in Illustrator or all overprints are removed (but keeping the graphic as a pattern) the graphic appears normally.

13. Profiles conversion doesn't work anymore with InDesign export PDF

    Hello,
    Sorry for my approximative english.
    It's no longer possible to do high-res PDF export from InDesign because it doesn't convert color profiles correctly (it seems InDesign consider there is no profil on imported documents). Same conversions works fine on Photoshop.
    We use InDesign CC 14.0.1 and joboptions we made (PDF/X-1a:2001 - Acrobat 4 (PDF 1.3) - convert to destination : ISO Coated V2) with Bridge coordination.
    We're a big french comic books publisher and it's a very important problem for our workflow.
    It's like a bug, I try some things I found on forums, but nothing works (delete all preferences and reinstall Bridge...), but maybe I missed something.
    Anybody would have an idea to fix it?

14. Documents appear blank after waking computer from sleep

    Anytime I leave documents open, and my computer goes to sleep (even display sleep), nothing is viewable until I close the file and reopen it. I had this problem previously, and in typical Adobe fashion it stopped and has recently come back. Incredibly annoying, and happens every time when documents are left open and the laptop goes to sleep. Seems to mostly happen when connected to a 2nd monitor.

15. Windows 10 is not supported on our enterprise CS account???

    I received a notice that an update is required, but Windows 10 is not supported on our enterprise Adobe CS account on my work computer??

16. Best update in years...Thank you!

    For years, Adobe has added cloud features, glitches, ignored issues, and created a more bloated and buggy program. This is the first update in years that has improved things people including myself have been asking for a long time (some since the birth of CC).

    Thank you! I hope this is a shift in direction as there is more to be fixed (mainly resource utilization efficiency and long requested productivity features for professionals.)

17. Table development problems

    We work with Adobe Indesign 15.0.1 (2020)
    Currently we have some problems when automating as much as possible the application of the tables through the use of "table styles", this is because our tables have 4 different rows, unlike the possibility offered by Indesign that there are only 3 types of rows "header rows" "footer rows" and "text rows". This, for the moment, we solve in the following way: once we apply the table style, we select the rows that we want to change and we apply the “cell style” by hand.
    One possible solution is that the “table style” menu will allow more rows to be added as needed, being able to choose the cell style that we want and even be able to define in those headers parameters such as the number of rows they will occupy.

18. scrolling causes screen distortion of document pages

    Adobe Indesign 17.0.1 on a M1XMax 16" 2021 MacBook Pro. MacOS = 12.1

    When scrolling through a document, the screen becomes distorted (per the attached video screen recording). The distortion becomes worse the more you scroll. Closing and re-opening the document is a (very) temporary fix but the distortion reappears almost immediately.
    Theory: May be associated with using a 1x resolution on the screen display, rather than one of the 2x retina display resolutions.

19. Can't open or place files from Windows Explorer

    Updated to most recent version of InDesign (Beta) and Photoshop (Beta), and still can't open files by double-clicking in Windows Explorer. I also cannot drag-and-drop files from Explorer to either Adobe program. If I have a document open in InDesign, I can't drag-and-drop to place. The ONLY way I can open files in either InDesign or Photoshop is to use Open from the file menu. This is VERY annoying and time consuming.

20. M4 GPU support

    Using latest ID version (20.3.1) on Sequoia (15.4.1) on two different silicon Macs (Mac Mini M4, Macbook Pro M4 Pro) – neither recognizes the GPU in Indesign (greyed out in ID Setting menu). Monitors used include Macbooks internal display. Without GPU support performance is lacking but most importantly glitches are present (clicking boxes or zooming in and out does not work properly). As it is, Indesign is hardly usable. Other Adobe apps, Photoshop, Illustrator, work flawlessly and recognize the GPU.
