  1. When setting the frame grid with the shortcut key, it becomes an unintended font display

    InDesign Ver.13.0.1 x64(CC 2018) Japanese Edition
    Windows

    1. make new document
    2. make new frame grid
    3. select frame grid
    4. press key "Ctrl+B", and open dialog

    A font that starts with "B" installed in the system is displayed in the font setting of the dialog.
    Should be displayed is the default "Kozuka Mincho Pr6 N".

    CC 2017 and older versions are no problem.

  2. Missing or Damaged Links in 17.0.1

    Just opened file created two years ago in InDesign. Links panel shows links ok, but pages show gray rectangles. Replacing the link seems to help, except if the link is a PDF. Those are not working at all. They show up on screen as pixelated, even at high screen resolution setting; but print as gray rectangles.

  3. Object states button disappears after click

    In a multi-state object, the button that activates the MSO disappears after being clicked. No where in the settings have I told it to disappear after being clicked.

    Version: I'm running InDesign 16.3.2 (though I downgraded to 16.2 and am still having the problem)
    Steps to reproduce issue:
    I created the MSO using buttons/forms and the object states panel. Close button should revert back to original state (star).
    Expected Result: Button should reappear.
    Actual Result: Button is gone after click.

    The problem is both in the ePub preview and when published online.

  5. InDesign crashes when I try to change styles with the preview box selected.

    I am running InDesign 19.0.1 x 64 on a Windows 10 machine

    When I try to edit a paragraph style that includes bullet points, and with the Preview box checked, my computer crashes. As you can see in the screen capture video, it is an intermittent issue, but InDesign crashes the majority of times I am trying to edit the bullet paragraph styles. It also happens when I try to change the Anchored Object Options in my Object Styles panel.

    We have released InDesign 2025(v20.2.0.036) with many stability fixes. We recommend you upgrade to the latest version (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.

    If you still face this issue even after updating, please submit the crash report to us. (Guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html )

    Also, please send the following information to santalwa@adobe.com :

    • Reproducible Steps – What were you doing when InDesign crashed?
    • Video recording of the crash

  6. Exporting a Snippet Causes Crash

    Whenever I try to export a snippet, either through dragging the ID item onto the desktop, or by going to File > Export > Snippet, InDesign will crash. The only way to get a snippet is by adding it to a library by using the flout menu in the Library panel.

    I am on mac OS 13.13.3 and InDesign 13.0.1

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

    If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

  7. [ID-4279268][Support Ending for Intel Based Apps] Rosetta 2 is planned to be mostly discontinued by late 2027

    Mac OS gives error alert on launch Indesign, also Photoshop

    Reported bug to Apple:

     Adobe 2026 InDesign & Photoshop2026 are both Universal’ apps. (per Get Info window on each app).
 When I launch either of these, I get a Notification saying it will no longer be supported on a future OS release.

  8. 15.0.2 Margins & Columns Issue on Body Page 1 (Windows only)

    Version: 15.0.2

    Steps to reproduce the issues:
    I was teaching 3 students on 15.0.2 (all on Windows) how to create a new document. We set up a 12-page file and specified 3 columns and changed the top margin in the New Document dialog box. With the preview checkbox on, body page 1 did not reflect the changes. We could see the bleed and slug lines appearing when defined. We could also see the A in the corner of the the body page 1 icon in the Pages panel, indicating that A-Master was assigned.

  9. When relinking multiple files Skip causes a cancel, not a skip

    Version of Adobe InDesign, InCopy or InDesign Server
    14.0.2.324

    Steps to reproduce the issues
    1. Select multiple files in the Links panel.
    2. Click the Relink button.
    3. Click on the Skip button at the bottom of the dialogue

    Expected result
    The current file is skipped an I can continue to relink other files selected

    Actual result
    The relink process is canceled

    There is already a Cancel button so the Skip button should provide a different result. It seems intuitive that Skip means Skip this file, but continue with the other selected files.

    Hi,
    in the window menu the Italian voice for "Comments" (in Italian "Commenti") has the "C" in lowercase, not in Upper case like other menu voices.

  11. [ID-4276616][Win]InDesign 21.x does not launch after Windows update due to corrupt VCRuntime

    Indesign and some other products are failing to open, and it all related to the Microsoft C++ Redistributable, we just have to repair it and it starts working again.
    Please work with Microsoft on the issue, something is happening that is making it very very hard to manage and work with InDesign because of the problem. I think it is happening with other Adobe products too

  12. Fullscreen Application Frame Under Menu Bar

    When opening the program, occasionally the top bar of the interface is under the menu bar. Being as that also contains the portion of the interface used for moving the whole window, I must change my System Settings to hide the menu bar to move it back down. This also happens in a couple other CC programs as well.

  13. Extension Manager can't be found in Mac version of Indesign 2018

    I'd noticed that OpenAsset was always opening without me installing it. I close the window, it pops back up. I don't want to use that extension, but can no longer find the extension manager to turn it off. I tried using the extension dropdown to uncheck OpenAsset, but it just reopens a few minutes later.

  14. Absurd translation of the word "spread" in Czech UI

    Please correct the absurd translation of the “spread” on the Effects window. In this context, you cannot translate it as “dvojstránky” (= two pages) but rather “rozšíření” – in InDesign CS6 the translation is correct.

    Please note that in some languages one word can have multiple meanings. For example, in Czech we have one word for month and moon. The words are not interchangeable, you can’t say “the moon of July” in English. But this is exactly how you translate the aformentioned expression!

  15. [ID-4261011] In Find/Change, search for font style (eg "Book") incorrectly selects "Regular" style text, even if "Book" style isn't present

    In InDesign 2021 (the latest version both on Mac and Windows), I add a text frame and fill it with placeholder text which is set, by default, to Minion Pro - Regular.
    Then I go to the find-change dialog box and set 'find format > basic character format > font style' to Book.
    And guess what happens when I hit the ‘find next’ button? It selects all the ‘regular text. (The document has no text with the 'book' font style applied!)
    Selecting another style — e.g. Bold, Italic, etc. — results, as expected, in the 'cannot find match' alert.…

  16. Hyperlinks to text anchors deleted when exporting to PDF and using Adobe World-Ready composers

    The Adobe World-Ready composers break hyperlinks to internal text anchors when the document is exported to PDF.

    Internal document links are composed of a source and a destination. The hyperlinks seem to get dropped when the destination is in a paragraph that uses one of the World-Ready composers.

    The hyperlinks appear to work correctly in the hyperlinks panel within InDesign. It's only once the file is exported to a PDF and opened in a program like Acrobat that this issue becomes apparent.   17. InDesign '23 interface is not dual-monitor friendly! I am running macOS Monterey 12.4 on a MacBook M1 Pro.

    Please update Adobe InDesign to be a more self-contained, movable workspace instead of anchoring the app to a single monitor (namely, my small laptop monitor). I am able to move tool windows and a file window over to my larger screen, but everything opens back on my laptop screen and I have to adjust all over again, unlike with Illustrator or Photoshop. It also maintains a dark gray 'background' over my laptop screen so it's VERY difficult to multitask. I noticed that this became an issue with a recent update PRIOR to the release of InDesign 2023.   19. InDesign 16.2.1 + Mojave still missing Create New Folder (cmd+shift+N) and Show Original (cmd+R)

    Adobe please fix this issue. It very frustrating that you can not create folder inside open/save window dialog with a shortcut. Every other program allows that. Am I the only one that is using keyboard shortcuts? This bug is there now for about half a year. Is it really so hard to fix this? Pleeeeeease.

  20. Dragging guides from ruler restricts placement to only to three decimal points

    When dragging a guide from the rulers, ID only allows placement to three decimal points. Most often I find the need for the full four decimal points -- like trying to match the baseline of a line of type. So I have to drop the guide imprecisely, then adjust using the control panel. Can you please fix this?
