  1. Oswald Book Font Installed on Windows but doesn't work in InDesign

    I am using InDesign CC 14.0 for Windows 7 and I am having trouble with a font called Oswald. I have 3 fonts from the family Oswald installed on my computer (book, light, and bold). However, Oswald Book does not work in InDesign. It works in Illustrator and Microsoft Word so it appears to be an InDesign issue rather than a font installation issue.

  2. Indesign 2019 CC crash after relink document

    Every time when I try to relink a document in Indesign 2019 CC, the program crashes. I already send several crash reports to Adobe, no respond.

    Adobe could you please fix this bug asap? It is very annoying and I can not do my work properly this way.

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

    If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

  3. l turns into i after 2 f's

    When typing an "l" after "ff" it turns into an "i". So when I type "Affligem" is shows "Affiigem". In design version 14.0.1

  4. crash launch

    I have installed the latest version of Indesign using creative cloud. I used to have CS6 installed and it was no problem then. Now when i try to launch the application it just suddenly shuts down after "starting up panels" is shown.
    No error message. Just stop launching. What to do?

  5. Where can I get Zusatzmodul Intents and Tabs.InDesignPlugin for my Adobe Indesign CS6

    I installed macOS Mojave and the tabulator does not work anymore. Indesign CS6 asks for Zusatzmodul Intents and Tabs.InDesignPlugin. Where can I get it?

  7. [ID-4236500]Repackaged book-document cross-references do not update file path

    A series of documents in a Book have cross-references to one another. All are correct and working properly.

    I create a new package for my publisher and test the cross-references:
    they are pointing at locations in my original files rather than the ones in the new package.

    Since those files exist, the cross-references have good status. Moving that package to a new computer breaks them, of course.

  8. Add a tick box to settings panel of paragraph rules, to make rule under every line of a paragraph possible

    I design a lot of school books. I frequently need to use dotted rules under all lines in a paragraph, where children can write down their own answers. These answers are already filled in with the correct answers for the teachers in a spot color. The students gets books without this spot color printed. This to clarify why I would need this. Until now the only solution I could find was to end each line with a paragraph end. But this is not very user friendly, especially when this answer-text needs a revision

  11. Use of CC Library Items - EPS files Export as grey boxes and are not properly linked and do not package properly

    When using CC Libraries logos, those logos being used are EPS files.
    Those files will export and be grey boxes as if a broken link.
    Try and access said file in the CC library and sometimes work and doesnt.

    Also these are not collected for output and saved as EPS files when packaging.

    We need to make sure the files are pulled from the CC library and included in the Package. THis would help when we send files to outside companies so they can utilize original content that has been created and put into CC Libraries.

  12. Moving Objects with arrow keys is buggy

    If I try to move and object with the arrow keys, ist does not take effect for several times and then the content of the object suddenly jumps. Same with line height adjustments: nothing happens / value ist not applied. Then ist suddenly jumps in the Layout.
    Impossible to work with the program.

  13. Print custom page to Xerox 550 using a Creo RIP no longer works

    Recent upgrade from CS4 to CC. When using custom page size although I can print the document it doesn't print correctly. CS4 works perfectly.
    If I print to an SRA3 then the problem doesn't occur.
    I take it an issue/problem is now an idea....really

  14. cc 2019 Book (.indb) Export to uncompressed PDF creating low-res PDFs

    Twice this week, I've had a problem using Books (.indb) with cc 2019. When exporting with no compression, 300 dpi images are compressing down to 33 dpi.

    The only solution I've found is going back to cc 2018.

  15. new document dialogue wont accept size

    INdesign 14.0.1
    File > New Document
    In the new document dialogue box:

    I want to create a custom document 190mm wide and 25 mm high.
    I enter the 190mm in Width box
    I enter 25mm in Height Box
    I move out of the Height box and figure I have entered changes to 211.667 mm.

    this happens no matter if I use the print or web dialogue window.

    This makes it impossible for me to start a new document in the size I want

    ... so that's not a total pain in the **** is it?

  16. Character Panel/Properties Panel font display font not correct for GREP-Styles

    Indesign CC 14.0.1, x64

    IF a GREP-style is at work formatting found text-style-ranges, then the font style dropdown in character panel/properties panel/control panel, may not correctly reflect the font in a selection . Please see screenshot attached.

    In the screenshot, a paragraph format grep style has applied a character style "bold" to the word "Foto:" and "Text:". The user has selected the characters OT from the word "Foto:" as an example. The character panel font style should say "Bold", ... as you can see "Light caps" is NOT correct.

  17. Indesign CC 2018 (oct): display of frame borders offset by 1 pixel

    Indesign CC 14.0.1 x64, german

    put a pageitems' left border exactly on X=0, aligning the item to the left side of a right page on facing pages... see screenshot...

    Frame border is displayed offset by 1 pixel.

    This does not apply to right aligned items on left pages. Here the frame border is displayed fine.

    It's minor ... but ugly.

    We have released an update for InDesign CC2019 (v 14.0.1) which contains fixes for some key issues. If you are not already on 14.0.1 (build 209), then we recommend you to update to latest version.

    If you still face this issue even after updating, please send the following information to santalwa@adobe.com :

    Reproducible Steps –
    • What were you doing when the issue was observed in InDesign?
    • Error snapshot or video recording of the issue.
    • Is the issue related to a specific document(s)/asset(s)? If yes, can you please share the document(s)/asset(s) with us? Please package the entire document(To package the document, Go to File → Package)
    • Does trashing InDesign Preferences and Cache help resolve the issue? Please take a backup of the same before trashing them.

  19. InDesign crashes

    InDesign 14.0.1 MacOS Mojave

    Program crashes every time I open it, with any file. It tried to recover the last file it opened but nothing works.

    Tried: erasing prefs, cache, dumped the Recovery files, Uninstall, Reinstall. Still having the same issue. This is happening on two of my Computers at work.
    Tried the same solutions on both computers and still having the same crash issues.

    PS: Program was working OK yesterday, 1-8-2019.

  20. With Adjust Layout ON, Text Frames shrink to extremely tiny size on changing Margins.

    I am working in Adobe InDesign CC 2019 14.0.1. When I have a manuscript already flowed into my document and try to adjust the margins on the master page with Adjust Layout enabled, when the new margins are applied to the document, all the existing text boxes "disappear." From what I can tell, they have been resized down to an infinitely small point in the middle of the spread. Obviously, this is not useful. I used to be able to adjust the margins across an entire book-length document in one go with layout adjustment, and the text on every page…
