Numbered list
When I create a new Paragraph Style for numbering, whenever I start a new section with a Header and click on my Numbering style the numbers continue from the previous header.
From the screenshot I created a numbered list that started with 1 through 3. Then I started a new section with a new Header and clicked on my Number Style. As you can see, the numbering continue. When I tried editing my Numbering style to change the number from Continue with previous list to Start At 1, it changes all my numbering to a list of all 1s.1 vote -
Changed Spot Colors from Illustrator won't update in InDesign color swatches
If you place an Illustrator file in InDesign which includes spot colors, and change the color values in Illustrator, the changed values will not show up in InDesign's color swatches panel.
Tested with InDesign 25 and 26.
On a Mac.You can see on the screenshot:
I first made a frame with the spot color "STANZE Magenta" in Illustrator and placed in in InDesign.
Then I changed the color values in Illustrator so that the color is green.In InDesign the places image is updated and shows the correct green color.
But in the swatch panel it is still magenta.1 vote -

Description:
I’m using Adobe Bridge and InDesign 2027 Beta on macOS. In Bridge, the InDesign option is missing from the Place menu, and there is no InDesign entry of any version in Bridge’s Startup Scripts preferences.
I’ve reinstalled both applications. I can drag images from Bridge into InDesign successfully, but I cannot use the dedicated Place in InDesign command.
I do not have the regular release of InDesign installed. Please advise how to restore or register the Bridge–InDesign integration script for this Beta version.

文字の属性のうち、ベースラインシフトは「組版」（行送り）の単位に依存しますが、
段落スタイルおよび文字スタイルの設定画面では「テキストサイズ」の単位に依存しています(FIg_1)。スタイル設定の一覧フィールドでは、正しく「組版」の単位が使われています(Fig_2)。
適切に統一されるべきです。
ver. 21.6 で確認しました。

When a table with internal horizontal rules spans two or more pages, the bottom border at the point where the table breaks and continues onto the next page is not displayed. Instead, it keeps the properties of the row it belongs to, i.e. it is not visible.

Relink All Instances causes freeze
Relink All Instances causes InDesign 21.6 to freeze. I tried relinking pdf and jpg files with the same result. There are only 23 links, and the files are small/not complex. AI image description is turned off. The Relink popup window displays and the application becomes completely unresponsive for 10 minutes. Windows Task Manager shows CPU and memory use. Eventually the files relink, but this is totally unusable in my workflow.

The 21.5 patch that allows Data Merge to read UTF8 encoding is welcome, but seems to have created a problem with directional single/double quotation marks from non-UTF CSVs. After merge, these appear as missing characters. The issue seems to be that ID is reading the ASCII code as a Unicode decimal code: the missing characters are Unicode decimal 145/146/147/148 - but these are the ASCII codes for the relevant characters, not Unicode.

The nonbreaking hyphen is missing in InDesign after flowing the DOCX file
Hi All,
In my input Word (DOCX) file, several nonbreaking hyphens are used. However, when I flow the DOCX file into InDesign 2026, all nonbreaking hyphens are dropped.
This issue has been reported to Adobe by several users over the years, but there has been no fix or response from Adobe so far.

Publish Online unacceptable result
Used InDesign's (2026) Publish Online function for a simple, 1-page flyer, horizontal ("landscape") layout.
Result OK—EXCEPT there's a vertical BOX (gray outline) visible right up the middle of the piece, bisecting the 2 sides of it.I had Saved & Exported the item successfully; my PDFs don't show this box. Screen Mode is set to Preview, so there are NO visible guides of any sort in the InDes doc.
Is there any way to get rid of that weird box rule? a setting I need to change within InDesign?

InDesign 21.6 crashes whenever I add a text box or attempt to edit a previous text box
Unable to edit or create new text in my document. Every time I add a text box, the system crashes. It's so very frustrating.

Right-click context menu disappears intermittently with Apple Magic Mouse on macOS 27.0.1 — InDesign 21.6

The standard right-click context menu in InDesign disappears immediately when I release the mouse button.
Steps to reproduce
Open InDesign 21.6 on macOS 27.0.1.
Open any document and right-click an object using an Apple Magic Mouse.
Release the mouse button.
Observe that the context menu usually disappears immediately, before I can select a command.
Expected result
The context menu should remain open after releasing the mouse button, allowing me to select a command.
Actual result
The context menu closes immediately in most attempts.…

Table des matières impossible d'insérer des espaces entre les points de conduite et le numéro de page
Les options d'insertion de caractère d'espacement avant et après les points de conduite des titres de la table des matières ne sont pas pris en compte, il y a un bug. Les points de conduites sont collés au texte et au numéro de page. Ce n'est pas normal.

Incopy crashes, when moving a placed image with the arrow keys
When in InCopy, and you want to move a placed image with the arrow keys it immediately crashes.
When the mouse is used, all works perfectly. but as soon you use the arrow keys, it crashes. this also occures when moving the imagebox.
Using Version 21.6 as well as 21.4.

Problème d'affichage des images
Bonjour,
je rencontre un problème d'affichage de mes images dans Indesign malgré des liens valides, les images sont soit grisées, soit hachurées ou les deux dans le mode de travail et dans l'affichage.
J'ai beau les réimporter le problème réapparait à chaque ouverture du ficher.
Les liens sont bien présents dans mon panneau liens, dans mon dossier d'assemblage et il ne s'agit pas d'un problème de performance d'affichage.
Je précise que sur un autre ordinateur les images apparaissent correctement.

Placing Linked Files Crashes App
Version 21.6 x64
Placing a linked (Illustrator) image crashes the app. When placing, the file appears blank, the mouse turns into a constant "loading" wheel, I am not able to type any text, not able to save, not able to close the application besides force closing.2 votes -
Best free tool I've found for accurate translations lately
Been dealing with a lot of translation work recently and wanted to share something that's actually been really helpful.
