Palettes not docking in the sidebar
I seem to be having more trouble 'docking' palettes, or dragging them into a group on the sidebar on the right. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this resistance?
When I drag a floating palette onto a closed group, it highlights blue, but I think it used to disappear and you could decide where in the group you wanted to put it, or even into another group or by itself. Currently, there is a light highlight on the group, but when released, it remains floating. When dragged to an open area, the floating palette dims, and will dock by itself.

no spellcheck
there is no spellcheck which really bothers me, I had to manually type in the right spelling, wasting my time because English is not my first language i forget how to spell some words, it takes hours for me to type something without spellcheck. Please add this function to InDesign it really is necessary

provide tool to manage external cross-references
I am responsible for maintaining and updating a long manual with many cross-references. Most of these cross-references are internal to the book collection, but a significant minority reference specific sections in other books that make up the manual or specific sections in other reference documents external to my organization. The ability to use the cross-reference tools to manage internal cross-references is a godsend. Manually tracking external cross-references, however, is extremely tedious and mistake-prone. Obviously it would not be possible to provide hyperlinks or automatic updating for external cross-references. However, I would still like a way to keep track of them…

map Word lists to InDesign lists and paragraph styles
As the InDesign help documentation notes (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/map-export-manage-styles.html), "Text styles with bullet or number lists may not be copied or exported to a different application with the bullets or numbers intact." The suggested workflow is extremely time-consuming for a long document where every paragraph is assigned to a hierarchical outline structure in Word, since each paragraph has to be manually assigned to the correct paragraph style and the Word outline numbering that was converted to text needs to be manually deleted. View menu failing to load
When I roll over the Plug-Ins menu item, and then scoot over to the View menu item, the full View menu does not load. If I come off the menu header, and then hover directly over the View menu head, the full menu appears.

data merge images
InDesign 20.0.1 on MaxOS 15.1.1 (24B91), the Data merge for images does not work. There are no errors or warmings, but upon previewing, exporting or merging the images to not populate. The same data file and downsaved indd file (ver 19) works.

Application switching delay & laggy
Application switching (Command Tab) from any App to InDesign 20.0.1 has a 2/3 second delay. If I directly click on the InDesign window, it's switches quickly. Happens in all files. MacOS 15.1

Document dissapearing from view after screenlock
Every time my screen goes to sleep or autolocks, when I open it back up the document I am working on disappears from view. I can see it is still there as there are a few frame outlines visible, and I am able to save it close it and reopen, then all is fine again but it is a very annoying issue as I have to do this multiple times per day.

ID 20.0.1 locks up when resizing a table cell, either expanding the column or expanding the row width downward.
Mac Sonoma, M2 silicon.
I have an academic text chapter with numerous tables; Hebrew is scattered through the text, and some tables have Hebrew columns. Many times working on the file, the slightest change to resize a table cell, or resize a column, or who knows what, ID will go into rainbow wheel of death mode and must be killed.
I just now found a repeatable lockup. A table had no header row, but crosses pages, so I created a header row to be present on each page for that table.

Overset text
Hi team, I am having issues with overset text. When I drag my text frame outside of the bleed line into the workspace the icon doesn't appear. As soon as I drag it onto my page the icon shows and if I increase the text frame additional text space appears above the word. There is no text wrap on the text frame and is on a completely different layer so arrangement isn't an issue. Can you please help me fix this issue.

Indesign 20.0.01 freezes when updating fonts
It happens erratically, however, when Indesign needs to update or scan fonts, it freezes -- even if the document uses fonts that are open and available. Only work around is to click on any other app and then click back on Indesign document. This happens on just about any type of Indesign file (blank pages, or pages with lots of texts and font usage).

open type numbers
in a workaround for another bug in Indesign (Bug: mixed open type numbers) I use a character style for the optentype numbers variety porportional medaevial. Sometimes (!) applying the style to two numbers does not have any effect, it is necessary to apply to a character before and after the numbers to change the style of the numbers.

small caps hyphenation bug
small caps in a hyphenated text sometimes(!) change the first letter before the hyphen to a normal minuscle. See image.
As shown in the image: "zwi-schen" is correct, "Tradi-tion" (Times New Roman) resp. "Tra-dition" (Ten Oldstyle) shows the bug.

ID version: 20.0.1 & MacOS Sequoia: 15.1.1 horrendeously sluggish
I recently had my 2019 Mac Pro go down, and IT ended up wiping and reinstalling everything, including updating my OS to Sequoia 15.1.1. After that, I updated Creative Cloud to InDesign 20.0.1—and wow, what a nightmare. It’s incredibly sluggish. Opening the app? Wait. Opening a file? Wait. Moving a window? Nothing happens at first, then a bit of movement, followed by the spinning beach ball... and more waiting. I tried merging a file, and what used to take seconds now feels like an eternity. Basic, insert type bar to type text, i have to wait, and wait. Is anyone…

Hide spread not reflected in Table of Contents
When you hide spreads, their individual page numbers change appropriately, but when you look at the table of contents and update that, the hidden pages still appear and the page numbers do not match those shown on the pages themselves.

When I use Command + S to save, InDesign freezes, and I’m forced to force quit the program. Saving normally works fine. I have the Swedish version and a MacBook Pro M3.
