I'm unfortunately using InDesign 2026.0.2. One of my coworkers had the brilliant idea to update on day 1 ...
I'm on Apple Silicon M1, with 2 monitors. Now, when I open up any document (I don't use application frame) it opens normal, as in any version before, size of 1 monitor, between upper task bar and macOS (26.1) dock. But as soon as you do anything, including opening a second file, the canvas expands way beyond the lower end and the right side of the monitor, making it impossible to work on the lower part of the last page of…1 vote -

Anchored elements missing in PDF when anchor is on a different page and in a table
- InDesign 21.0.1
- Create a table and set an anchor. The anchored object is a text box. Place the text box and the table on different pages. Export the document as a PDF.
- The anchored text box appears in the PDF.
- The anchored text box will not appear in the PDF. (It will appear only when both are on the same page or the anchor is in a textbox.)

Shadows not displaying correctly on InDesign 21.0.1
We noticed some shadows are bugging with InDesign 21.0.1.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
- Open an InDesign 20.5 document. Create an object with a shadow. Close. Open the same document in InDesign 21.0.1. Check if the shadow is displaying correctly.

Lots of problems with fonts on InDesign (21.0.1)
InDesign is not recognizing the fonts we previously used in version 20.5. When opening documents in version 21.0.1, InDesign prompts us to replace the fonts, even though those fonts are already installed on our computers.
Additionally, when copying and pasting text from a template created in InDesign 20.5 into a new InDesign 21.0.1 document, the pasted text becomes unreadable.
Steps to reproduce:
Open a document created in InDesign 20.5 and add some text. Then open the same document in InDesign 21.0.1. Create a new text frame, copy the text from the original frame, and paste it into the new one.

Font Selector Broken
When I select a font in indesign 2024 (select drop down, start to type name of font "script", select font ) it works fine
When I attempt the same in indesign 2026 (select drop down, start to type name of font "script", system shows me fonts beginning with the second or third letter I typed, e.g. "Cricket")
This is broken. (no font filters selected, win 10, over 3000 fonts installed...)1 vote -
book page numbering got error
The option "continue on next odd page" not function. The page number still continue from previous page which is in even number.

Dark Selection and Direct Selection tool icons
In the Dark and Medium appearance color theme, the Selection Tool and Direct Selection Tool are darker than the rest of the tool icons.
This is version 21.0.1 running on macOS Sequoia 15.7.2

text box resizing causes document to shift in window
I have an issue now that has never come up before I updated to 20.5.1. When I try to resize a text box or image box, the document shifts down and the content box is shifted up. The video shows it better. I then discovered that if I create a new text box, delete it, then create another new text box and delete that one, the issue goes away. I closed and re-opened the document, and the issue was still gone. Have not had it happen enough to know if it will recur at a later time.

Adobe InDesign 20.5 - InDesignEPS Import: UnmatchedMark error.
Has anyone found a fix for this error "EPS Import: UnmatchedMark error" when placing a vector into InDesign? This has been a feature between programs for as long as I can remember and it is really frustrating that so many comments tell you "not" to do this as it is bad practice. It is definitely part of my workflow and helps create smaller, cleaner files, and streamlined, accurate colour palettes.

Bug Report: “Find/Change” Story Option Not Appearing
Hi Adobe Support Team,
I would like to report a bug in Adobe InDesign. When using the Find/Change command, even though I select Story in the selection area, the Story option does not appear in the Find section.
Currently, the only workaround I’ve found is to close and reopen InDesign, but the issue recurs every time. I can provide a screenshot to illustrate the problem if needed.
Please let me know how I can assist in resolving this issue.

Conversion Process
I have ran into a bug twice now where InDesign is forcing me to run a conversion on my indd files and when it does it inserts a '/' symbol in a paragraph. Unfortunately this was not apparent and the typo went into 145 paperback copies.

Before upgrading, I used to be able to have multipe .indd docs open next to a spreadsheet on my screen, now they automatically change size when I switch between them, seemingly "remembering" the state they were last resized to.

Interactive contextual menu no longer works properly
Since the latest version 21.0.1, the option enabling the creation of an hyperlink in Interactive menu has disappeared y/or no longer works properly.

InDesign 2026 (v 21.01) Won't lock "Constrain Proportions"
When resizing an object, Indesign 2026 won't retain the selection 'Constrain proportions for width and height' when clicked from the properties window.

Drop Cap kerning and tweaking
Can the team look at users being able to kern and make further edits to Drop Caps, to fit better with body text rather than having to manually paste in an anchored object to get it to look the way we want?

share for review completely broken in ID and online
Share for review is completely useless and does not work in the latest release on osX Tahoe. I can see the comments from clients listed in the panel, however they are not marked in the document and when clicked on them it does not show you where. So i have to open the comments in a browser (and its buggy even there!!!) and locate the reviews manuall.y. [ID-4272075] Interactive PDF Buttons: Button bounding area expands after file conversion from older version to 21.0

I've just verified and reproduced this interactive PDF button display bug by first confirming that several archived versions of the interactive PDF (created from archived InDesign Source files), all function perfectly and as expected. It is ONLY by opening one of those older, archived InDesign source file in the current 2026 v21.0.1 and exporting a new copy of that same Interactive PDF that the buttons all appear differently when clicked.
The expected result is to have interactive buttons that look clean and functional when clicked.

PDF conversion
Still does not work with a simple remittance envelope we have - see attached screenshot. After the conversion, the entire document is black and all the fonts are missing. After every update of InDesign we try again and get the same results.
