  1. Map styles to tags forces image alignment to the left

    Consider: an image frame is set inline with paragraph text in a text frame. The image is wider than the width of the text frame, and RIGHT ALIGNED, so that it extends out towards the left of the text frame. When you map styles to tags, the image frame is forced to look left-aligned so that the tag is housed in the text frame. This makes the image now extend TO THE RIGHT of the text frame. PLEASE FIX!!!

  2. When I move a picture in 12 page publication, it crashes. over and over again.

    I have a 12 page newspaper with lots of picture. Now when I move one picture, the program crashes. Every time.

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

    If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

    If you click on the Link of the GPU thing you'll get a 404 in the german version of INDESIGN...

  4. eyedropper tool doesn't work any more and scrollbar disappears in color panel

    Since i update MacOS Sierra (10.12.6 version), when i try to copy a text style with the eyedropper tool, it doesn't work. Instead to copy the right style, the text becomes always white.
    Other problem: in the color palette, there is no more the scroll bar: haw can i see the colours continue below the end of the window??
    And also the indicator of the color type (rgb, cmyk, pantone...) doesn't appear next to the single color.
    Other problem: sometimes when i open in design, it doesn't show the palettes. I have to restart several times. I verified the same…

  5. InDesign CC 2017 closeExtension() does NOT work properly.

    Problem is reproducible with InDesign CC 2017 newest patch.
    All the request information is available under Adobe Community link: https://forums.adobe.com/message/9853814#9853814
    Other Adobe Extension developers also tested and verified this described issue.

  7. paper size printing problem for SurfaceBook

    hello I have a problem with my Surface Pro Book. It refuses to print in 11x17 or custom size. The only sizes available are letter, A4 and two others are around letter size too. I don't know what is wrong with it. But it definitely a hinder in printing

  8. Crash after replacing color swatch

    With InDesign Server CC 2017, if a document contains table with pictures, removing color swatch and replace it by an other, causes a crash.

  9. pages panel collapses

    My document has many pages, 50 or more. When I open the document, the pages panel, more often than not, is completely collapsed, and I have to manually resize it back so that I can see all of the pages.
    I have the latest version of ID. I have been using versions of ID since 2001, and I never had this problem until I purchased this one. It makes me feel regret for buying it, I can tell you. It might seem like a small thing, but believe me it is annoying.

  11. Recent file panel

    When Indesign first opens, the time stamp on the recent file is not correct. Some of the files are marked "in an hour" as when they were opened. Others are just marked as 4 hours ago.

    The normal keyboard shortcut for hide does not work either on this screen.

  13. Multiple carets flashing

    As you can see on the second page of this screen clipping, there are two mouse carets. I have a fast computer, including 8 GB Ram, and this should not be happening.

  14. Digits after spaces appear out of order

    1. InDesign CC 2017.1
      I had previously used Arabic support, and this may be contributing to the problem, even after changing Preferences back to "English (North America)" the problem persists.

    2. Create text box. Type any digit, then a space, then any digit.

    3. Digits should appear left to right.

    4. The digit after the space jumps to the left of the first digit and includes a space after. Cursoring with arrow keys through the type makes the cursor position jump around, so the misplaced digit is still reading as after sequentially, but is now to the left of the previous digits (really screwy!).

  15. InDesign 2017 file on file server with High Sierra

    We have Panzura file servers here and anytime we try to open an InDesign file with CC 2017 it completely crashes any mac that tries to open it, immediate kernel panic with both InDesign and Finder being the cause. So we tried to copy the files to the desktop and open them from there, no dice.

    How on earth did Adobe not catch this bug? You guys had 3 months access at least to the dev prereleases like the rest of the software vendors, this is pretty unacceptable.

  17. Issue with import jpeg

    Picture are distortionned after imported it.

    Steps:
    1-Open file
    2-import pictures
    3-Do Command W
    4-Esc

    Expect result: PIctures stay the same size

    Actual result: Pictures are distorted

  19. Indesign fails to create new PDF's from imported Xerox scans

    tested on pc version Adobe Indesign CS6 8.1

    All imported pdf color scans from Xerox WC78xx copiers fail to create a new PDF in Indesign when using 'High quality Print' setting in Indesign PDF preferences.
    The only workaround is choosing convert to CMYK (or press quality) in Adobe indesign pdf preferences.
    Xerox now knows about this (I contacted them as first) but they say it's not their fault, Indesigns handels their scans wrong.
