1. footnotes in paragraph borders style

   While using paragraph borders and footnotes, borders break as in attached file. It won't display either preview mode properly though sometime exporting to pdf is perfect in other time it's same as attached pdf.

   I'm using Indesign latest 14. 0.3 one in windows 7.

2. Link text box with an existing box don't work anymore

   When I try to link a text box with an other existing text box, it doesn't work anymore. It's creating me a new box. In other version of indesign it was not a problem.
   I can't find anything about new features in indesign 2018, can you help me?

3. InDesign White object exports as RGB in PDF/X 2008 PDF

   Not sure if this is a bug or intended but I don't think I have had this before as I have saved this file in the past for printing.

   InDesign Vers. 14.0.3

   White vector object (outlined text in InDesign not Linked/Placed) is changed to an RGB object when exported as a PDF from InDesign using PDF/X 2008 No Conversion Lab Ink Manager Values for Pantones are Lab for Spots & Convert all Pantones to CMYK.

   Tried a test using the Save for Print default setting and it came out fine, as well as testing the Output Color Conversion set to Convert to Destination (Swop) preserve numbers which also did not produce the object as RGD. I tested using the paper colour as well as setting it as CMYK 0000 for the colour.

   I have attached my PDF Export job options file. It is basically a standard PDX/X 2008 with the addition of bleed and crop settings. My colour settings are set to N/A general purpose.

   If this was a placed object that was RGB white I could understand it not converting to CMYK if I didn't have convert to destination turned on but it is an InDesign Object that is coloured in InDesign using CMYK white.

   Am I missing something?

5. Problem with layer panel

   Version 13.1.1.110
   Dots allowing to select objects on layers panel disappear although it was supposed to be fixed. Reinitializing preferences work but is not a lasting solution since this occurs on tens of machines. We cannot upgrade to version 14 or 15 for now.

6. mac os extended italian keyboard - entering numbers keys obtain error on text showed

   Digiting numbers on my extended keyboard using numbers section on the right of the keyboard the result is a changement in the phrase font and numbers don't appear in the phrase. Now I can use only numbers on top of the keyboard.

7. Locked to dell canvas screen, can't move to other screens

   On a multiscreen system, when InDesign starts up on the Dell Canvas drawing tablet screen, the window can't be moved to any other screen in the system. If the Dell Canvas is turned off then on, InDesign automatically moves to another screen. At that point, the window can be moved to any other screen in the system. However, if you move it totally onto the Canvas screen, it will be pinned to that screen, unable to move back to the other screens.

   InDesign 15.01 x64. Dell Canvas screen is the primary screen for windows. Other monitors are 32" 4k+ monitor and 28" 4k monitor. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC does not have this problem so this is an InDesign problem.

8. Lock and Pause the Resynching in a Book

   It would be extremely time and frustration saving if I/users could lock/pause/disable the resynching process. The lock could be manually released once I have re-ordered the chapters in a book as I like them, Then I can allow updates and resynchs to happen en masse rather than whenever I make the tiniest change to the order of the chapters.

   You see: I write textbooks with exercises at the end of each chapter. Often these exercises are taken from previous books I have written. I then customise them for the current book according to the client's requests.

   Once I have imported easily 10 to 20 exercise files, I then need to reorder them, so they appear at the end of each chapter. Adding them one by one is a harrowing process indeed, so I add them as a block of files. Every time I reorder one, I then have to wait for a large book to resynch. I then repeat this process some 10-20 times. It would be much easier if I could defer the individual resynchs until all the "chapter shifting" is completed.

9. Windows 10 is not supported on our enterprise CS account???

   I received a notice that an update is required, but Windows 10 is not supported on our enterprise Adobe CS account on my work computer??

   "Update required
   You must update your system to install lnDesign. Please check the following:

10. updating a placed multipage pdf

    Hello,
    When a multipage pdf is placed in InDesign, and an update of the pdf is needed, it is possible to do 'update link' in the links panel. But when 'show import options' is ON (in the 'place' window), all of the placed pages of the pdf will be replaced by page 1 of the updated pdf.
    For my opinion, if you want to update the instances of a placed pdf, the responsive pages have to be updated. At least the option must be accessible when updating the link.

11. Request for a Save All facility

    It would be very useful to have a "save all" facility as do Microsoft's and other's products: Pressing Ctrl+Shift+S saves all open documents in sequence.
    It is very disconcerting to realise I have 7-8 documents open from a book at the same time and none of them has been saved, sometimes for days.

    I have once or twice been caught out by Windows crashing with a large set of documents open and then found their contents in various confusing states.

    It would be so much easier if I could watch the stars slowly disappear from my tabs/eyes by pressing a short key sequence.

12. Background Tasks stuck on "Cancelling"

    I was exporting multiple PDFs that were not exporting properly. When I figured out they were stuck, I manually cancelled the export in "Background Tasks". Both tasks have been "Cancelling" for two days. I cannot close the files nor can I close InDesign.

13. Spellcheck not working

    The Spellcheck tool does not work as of version 14.0.1
    The spellcheck window pops open but "spellcheck complete"message appears. Clicking "start" does nothing. This happens in all documents. All the settings and user dictionary seem correct.

    I tried selecting all the options in the "search" dropdown menu but nothing works. Spellcheck simply won't start.

    The issue has been fixed in both the latest release of InDesign – InDesign 2021 & the previous version of InDesign – InDesign 2020 (15.1.2).

14. GREP, odd behaviour in InDesign v. 14.0.2

    Search and replace with GREP in InDesign version 14.0.2 behaves oddly.

    This simple GREP used to work fine:
    (?<=\s)([\u\s\,]+)$

    It matches upper case letters, commas and space between them at the end of a paragraph. But now it only matches some of them.

15. Problem mit Schlagschatten unter 15.0 x64 (Windows)

    Wenn einem Objekt ein Schlagschatten zugewiesen wird, so verschiebt sich der Schatten, sobald man auf OK klickt. Das heißt, der Schlagschatten hat dem optischen Eindruck nach andere Werte, als die zugewiesenen.
    Beispiel: Ein einzelnes PSD mit mehreren freigestellten Objekten vor transparentem Hintergrund erhält folgende Werte:
    Deckkraft 100% / Abstand 3 mm / x-Versatz 0 / y-Versatz 3 mm / Winkel 90° / Größe 5 mm / Übergriff 50% / Rauschen 0
    Als Ergebnis zeigen einige Objekte einen 90" nach untern fallenden Schatten. Bei den restlichen Objekten ist der Schatten nach unten und links verschoben.
    Dieses Problem ist neu, es ist bisher nicht aufgetreten.

17. proportional scaling and Opt + drag copy feature not working

    Some, but not all, shift and option key functionality not working. I've tried both the Webroot SecureAnywhere fix (don't have this on my computer) and the keyboard unicode fix. Neither have helped. it's also inconsistent. it was working fine last night at home but not working this morning in my office.

19. InDesign performance issue: Lags when selecting and moving items using wacom tablet

    On a iMac with 32 GB RAM running under macOS 10.14.4 (18E226) InDesign v.14.0.2.324 with Wacom Intuos Pro tablet (6.3.24-1) in some documents cursor / items handling is unresponsive, lagging or too sensitive (click is registered when there was no click, dragging happens yet it wasn't been ignited).

20. font cache

    Fonts in Document fonts folder are not removeable anymore.
    I’m a typedesigner and check fonts by generating them into a Document fonts folder. In the past the fonts were always at once updated in Indesign, when I overwrote the fontfile. This does not work anymore.
    What is worse. A font that I generated into the folder is still visible in the font menue of the document, and I can still select and use it, even if the file does not exist anymore on the computer. It only disappears if I cut the internet. So it seems the font is stored online without my knowledge. And I can’t remove it. I’m using Indesign 14.0.3
