  1. Option to lock downloading videos from online published documents

When you use the option PublishOnline, it is possible for other users to download videos from your online published document by rightclicking on the three dots an choose 'save video'. But that's not the way designers van to have their work exposed for downloading.

I think it'll be a good idea to have the option to lock downloading videos from your online published documents.

Can you help me solving this issue, pleas?

  2. Remove color group folder when all swatches in it are selected by "Select all unused"

If all swatches are selected in a group folder by using the "Select all unused" option, also remove the group folder. This will make the workflow for cleaning up the swatches faster by only taking one action instead of also having to remove an empty group folder.

  3. Make the Package feature open by default in the same folder where the indd file is located

Make the Package feature open by default in the same folder where the indd file is located. That is, when it's asking me which folder to place the package folder into. Currently it opens in the last folder Package feature was used to make a package.

    E.g.
    1. I have indd in C:\1\1.indd
    2. I use the Package function to make a package like C:\1\1 Folder
    3. I have another indd in C:\2\2.indd
    4. If I use the Package function now, when it first asks me which folder to put the package into, it shows me C:\1\, and I have…

  4. Folder structure in saved queries

I need to organize saved Search/Replace queries into folders. Just like styles.

(Now I have a few dozens of queries in a very long list. Plus some document/workflow has special queries, so I don't want mix them. A folder structure would be more straightforward)

  5. Online InDesign document for client text edits — like InCopy but online without the need for technical know-how or files to move around

I wish there was a way to post InDesign files online that would easily allow proofreaders, editors, clients or anyone without a lot of technical know-how to log in and make text edits. Freeing up designers from spending countless hours making text edits.

We tried InCopy, but we store files on a shared server and move files up and down through a project management tool. Being able to properly move the InDesign and linked icml files was way too confusing for our writers and proofreaders and out of the question for clients.

When we work on PPT presentations, we post…

  6. More Control Over Embeds (Option to remove the publish online button from my embeds)

    Dear Adobe.

It's time to stop acting like the "Tommy Hilfiger of Software" and allow users "Who Pay" for your software to remove your branding from final published pieces.

Who said this would be OK? Seriously, you don't see PPTX files trying this hard!

ALSO... Give users control of the embed framework. Maybe we don't NEED all the controls and labels on the bottom of published items and just need the published item.

Also... Give the user the option to change the background color.

  7. Incorporate the feature for hyperlinks and buttons to open the clicked url in a new browser window.

Please can you incorporate the feature for hyperlinks and buttons to have the option to open the clicked url in a new browser window. I feel this is something that would be farely easy for a developer to introduce as a feature, that would greatly benefit alot of Designers that use Adobe InDesign to publish interactive pdfs online.

  8. Non printing folder in pages

It would be very helpful if we could have a non printing folder in the pages window. This would allow pages to be switched in or out if multiple options for spreads are being used for a client. It would then be useful to have the ability to select a pages (or pages) and right click - swap pages with ones in the folder.....

    kind regards

  9. Option to search child folders when using Relink to Folder

Have a checkbox that tells indesign to also search child folders when using the "Relink to Folder" feature. To keep it from searching too far, you could also include a box to specify how many "layers" down to check.

  10. Change Image and Text when I publish project with text anchor

I need to be able to have the first page of the project as an image and also write in my own text in the Text Anchor when publishing online. I need to present this via email and whatsapp.

  11. Saving Online PDF on different cloud

There needs to be an option to save the online published PDF on either google drive or iCloud or dropbox. When we have to handover projects which involve ebrochures, its a prime necessity that the Urls generated can be stored by the client itself. Being a designer, I dont know how to send all the rights to the client for online published data.

  13. play video without controls

Please make it possible to hide the controls of a video clip - so its working in Publish online (right now its only working in PDF exports.

With this we could make amazing publish documents with integrated video backdrops of skys, fires or rain.. With all the NON VIDEO CONTROL goodness.

What im trying to say is video without controls can do magical things (like we could back in the good days of ... Flash.. the good days right... :)

  14. Add full text markup options to document review (online version)

When sending a document for review through CC online, my reviewers have very limited edit/markup options (add comment, draw, add pin). Can you add all the text markup options available in the "Comment" tool of the desktop version of Acrobat Pro? For example, insert text, add note to replace text, strikethrough, callout boxes, etc. This is valuable to me because it is much easier to read/understand the edits if they're clear text edits, not just comments in a box. Thank you!

  15. Video player controls in publish online too small when starting retina document

When starting a document in bigger dimension (for example iPad retina) the controls of the viewer are very small. They are bigger when started as iPad1024x768. Shouldn't the controllers be based on percentages of the width of the screen?

  17. Re-enable new folder keyboard shortcut when saving/exporting

In previous versions of ID when you saved or exported a file, you had the ability to create a new folder from the dialog window using the keyboard shortcut (cmd+shift+N). This stopped working sometime after the last couple of updates, but it still works when exporting/saving from Photoshop and Illustrator. It may seem like a small thing, but I spend a lot of time creating folders to export PDFs to and it's annoying to have to use the button now. Please add this back in a future update!

  18. Option to Set Default Save Location for AI-Generated Content to Project Folder in InDesign

Thank you for introducing the new AI-powered image generation feature in InDesign.
I would like to suggest an improvement to the way AI-generated content is stored. Currently, these assets are saved by default to the local user folder, which can become problematic when multiple team members need to collaborate on a project. Since the assets are not stored within the shared project folder, this can lead to missing files or confusion when the document is opened by someone else.

It would be highly beneficial to have an option that allows users to set the default save location for…

  19. CC Libraries Export should remember last-used folder

When exporting CC Libraries from InDesign on macOS, the Desktop is always chosen as the last export location, even if you have already exported to another folder in that session.

ID should remember the last-Library-exporter folder and autofill it into the "Location:" section.
