Add option to include thousands separator in page numbers for long documents.

Please, please, please increase the overall stability of InDesign.
I’ve lost count of the number of times functionality has gone missing (ie: unable to proportionally scale using key commands and my mouse, sliding elements vertically or horizontally without changing either their “x” or “y” coordinate (respectively), etc.
I would suggest (and I am absolutely serious about this) that Adobe take 3 months off from issuing any updates to the product and have all your techs, engineers and coders work out as many functionality issues a possible to improve the stability of the product. Make the color of the hidden conditional text indicator match the color assigned to the condition
Currently, the color of the hidden conditional text indicator is orange. But why orange?why not something more useful? We are able to assign specific colors to each condition, so why not extend those colors to the hidden conditional text indicator as well? Right now, in order to see which condition is applied to hidden conditional text, we have to hover over it and hope that the tooltip pops up. Manually adjust width of columns in text frame
When there are multiple columns in a text frame, the width of each column is automatically divided evenly between the number of columns and the width of the frame. It would be nice to be able to manually change the width of those columns so they are not automatically all the exact same width, or height for that matter. I'm thinking much like how columns in a table can be adjusted, and then when the whole table is changed you can elect to have the manually adjusted columns shift accordingly or not. option to have PDF Export to output PDF using page number as prefix
Printer needs files with prefix page number. The export make no sense with it being at the end when you have different file names and won't allow the combining of multiple files with different names that I use to proof my magazines. By the way, scripts are not working using Monterey OS any more. What a disappointment.

quick key for paragraph styles
I cannot create a quick key to apply a paragraph style. I do not have a numbers keyboard on my mac. I know I used to be able to do this before. Its a real time saver... please help!

Add the ability to disable pages
It would be great to be able to disable pages, similar to how you can disable elements in Premiere. A disabled page would keep it's content and place in the document, but would loose its page number and not be able to be edited until it's re-enabled.
This would make it easier to manage pages that need to be removed from an export, but may still want to be re-added later on. It could also help in keeping clear what pages didn't require any more work, or have all their content confirmed.

Redirect links when file name changes.
Like a website that uses redirection for old pages, it would be nice to have a way to redirect InDesign links to new links. For example, when a file name changes due to a version number, date, or whatever.
the way I imagine it working is leaving a txt file behind with the old asset's name that has the new assets name within it. (maybe there is a better way to do this)

Could you add a button to the Pages panel to insert the page number? It's the logical place for new users to look.

Version number on splash screen?
Sometime I have more than one version of InDesign on my Windows PC, especially if the latest release is buggy. It would be very useful to have the program version number show up on the splash screen when you start the program.

Please add Document First Page Number and Document Page Range to Text Variables
I'm doing a layout for a scientific journal, and each article is in a separate file. The articles are then combined into a book. An important piece of information is the page range, which is part of the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) used by scientists to search. Additional text variables like Document Start Page and Document Page Range are much needed. The last variable requires separator formatting between numbers (e.g. 35-70 or 35…70)

The little arrows up/down to change values have increments too large
Those little arrows used to change increments are a blessing, but many times the increments are just too big so they are useless because I have to input my numbers anyway. There should be a preference to change the increment value assigned to those fields (like 0.1 point or 0.1 mm) like there is one for the leading (see pictures)

Export of selection of pages could be easier...
It would be great to just select pages in the pages-window and then automatically have them selected with their page numbers in the export-toolbox.

Style counters
I would find very helpful to have a counter near any style (in particular for tables, but can work with other styles too) that enlights the number of items to whom is assigned the style and add a function, similar to the error panel, in which one can scroll to the elements, double clicking, and be brought to the item itself.

export pdf
In my previous version of InDesign CS5.5. I could immediately type a number in and it would replace the page range. Now i have to tab to that section or manually select the range with my mouse. It doesn't sound like a lot but it greatly slows down my workflow...

Jump to page 1 = just go to first page already
If my document is numbered pages 43 to 59, for example, and I press Command -J and enter "1" for "Go to page:" PLEASE just take me to the first page in the document! Is that too much to ask? ;-)

Adding Ordinal Format Options to Text Variables
I'm using Text Variables to show when the last time a document was modified. Currently, it outputs as "December 30, 2020", however, I would like it to be formatted with an ordinal option so it would display as "December 30th, 2020". Note the "TH" after the 30. So Xst, Xnd, Xrd and Xth would be displayed on the appropriate number.

Spelling & Grammer included in Preflight Report
Would it be possible to enhance the prelight report features to include spelling & grammar checks so you could go through the report with page numbers references instead of having to click through each misspelt word individually .... for long documents this is a real problem as a lot of the instances of acronyms and named places currently get picked up which are not actually misspelt words ...
