SmartStream crash
>>We are experiencing an issue where InDesign v21 will crash while we are using HP SmartStream Designer. This occurs when we start creating an imposed job, and will fail at different times with our templates. We notice this occurs predominately with the 6x9 postcard template.
>>This happens often enough to where we are hesitant to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign, as we are not having this issue with v19. We have tried remaking the template file, which did not fix the issue. Is this a known bug? What steps would be best for us to try

undesired text reflow
>>>When anchoring an object to which text wrap has been applied, the text in the paragraph receiving the anchor reflows in an undesired manner, affecting layout in minute but important ways. Trying to fit book copy around an image without creating spaciness within the shortened lines is hard enough without having all one's adjustments made null when the text shifts due to an anchor that has nowhere else it can be placed.

Crash when exporting
>>>Every time I try to export my document to a PDF InDesign 12.1 crashes. I've quit and restarted the software, and restarted my computer. I have no pending updates. I'm not sure why the program crashes every time I try to export. I've tried to go around the issue by packaging the file, exporting directly to PDF, or getting a PDF from a "print" operation, but nothing seems to work. It crashes every time.

Crashes when changing font, copying text and saving as another file type
>>I have been tryin to open one of my 'old' Indesign files (2017). At the time I used Cross-References plugin DTP tools. I no longer use it. It keeps populating a notification that the plugin is missing, but it still opens the INDD document. I have tried saving the document—

ID 2020 - Indent in combination with wrap text around an image not working
>>>In Indesign 2020, whenever I want to wrap text next to an image, but the text also has an indent the text jumps from the supposed position.
>
> In Indesign 2019 this did not happen. The text was wrapped nicely next to the image, the way you should expect.>My guess what happens here, is that the indent specs are applied not the the edge of the frame, but to the edge of the text. Which corrupts the spacing between the image and the text.
>>I'm working with the latest 2020 version on iMac with Catalina
>20 votesThis issue is addressed with a new option "Honor Text Indents in addition to Text Wrap" in Preferences > Composition dialog. This option is ON for new docs created in ID2023 and needs to be turned ON for docs created in older versions of InDesign when opened in ID2023.

Crash/Error Reporting & (non)Solutions
>>>I have been using Adobe products since the beginning. After a crash, I have not ever once had the Error Report that 'searches for a solution or workaround' come back with any solution—working or not. Has anyone ever had a useful solution or workaround come back? Just me?? I am guessing it is still valuable to send the reports, although not sure about that either.

>>Dear Adobe InDesign team, I would like to request a new feature for Adobe InDesign: the ability to link a word or phrase in the main (body) text with a corresponding word or phrase in a footnote (or another text frame), so that if the main text moves to another page, the linked text in the footnote will also automatically move together. This feature is very important for professional publishing workflows, especially for complex academic, multilingual, and religious books. For example, in Islamic or scholarly works, it is critical that a term in the main text and its explanation

BUG - 15.1.1 - Mac/PC - text threads don't display
>>>On both Mac and PC, the 15.1.1 version doesn't display text frame threads.
>>When I create a new doc, threaded text frames DO show the threads. But when I open pre-existing documents, threads don't show at all. I've confirmed this behavior with a few other people, on both OS platforms. I'm running on Win10/64, [Version 10.0.18363.836]. The Mac users were on very recent OS's.

Overset text
>>>Hi team, I am having issues with overset text. When I drag my text frame outside of the bleed line into the workspace the icon doesn't appear. As soon as I drag it onto my page the icon shows and if I increase the text frame additional text space appears above the word. There is no text wrap on the text frame and is on a completely different layer so arrangement isn't an issue. Can you please help me fix this issue.
