excel import filter fails formatting
When importing an Excel spreadsheet, formatted cells are incorrectly imported.
E.g., place the following one-cell spreadsheet in CC 2018 (not tested in earlier, but I imagine it's true there), and you'll see either "10,000,000,000,000.0." in the cell (under macOS) or "1,000.0" (under Windows).
Needless to say, this is a critical bug for people using Excel with InDesign, since it causes serious mis-representations of imported numbers.

In the latest versions the screen often isn't refreshed properly. Only after rescaling or changing to Preview mode the old data is hidden.

To identify the cause of this issue, we started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the following: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2025(v20.0.0.095) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.
We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

Top Selection Bar Glitch
- InDesign 208
- For example, let's say I have a file open and I want to create a new file without using the shortcut CTRL+N. When I bring my cursor to the top bar containing File, Edit, Layout, Type, Object, etc... it selects the correct category which results in a dropdown menu, but as soon as I move my cursor a little, the system throws the cursor over like 2 tabs at a time. So for example, I click File, the menu drops down, I move the cursor to select the type of New file I want and then suddenly I…

Text becoming conditional
If I have conditional text in which the condition include the paragraph mark, when I re-open the document, the following paragraph sometimes has the condition applied to it, even though it was unconditional before. This is a repeatable problem.

Sound not working when Publish Online
I'm working on a book to be an epub. The epub version works perfectly (sound/animation), then I had to make another version for the publish online. The problem was, when convert to publish online directly, sound was going on way before it's page, for example, on the first page we were hearing the next 4 pages almost at the same time. I solved this problem by inserting play/pause buttons for the sounds. It was working perfectly fine last week, and now this week, some pages don't play sound at all. But in the epub preview in InDesign, everything is working…

I am stuck on a single image. I can't click off of it
I am stuck on a single image. I tried reopening InDesign. It helped with that image I was stuck on, but once I clicked on a new image the same thing is happening. I am stuck on it until I restart indesign. I can't do this through my entire project!!!!!

find/change missing from menu (PC)
I am using Adobe inDesign CC 2018 on a PC and since the most recent update (March 2018), I have lost the Find/Change option from the Edit menu. I have searched all over in case it was moved somewhere else, and also tried different workspaces, to no avail. Old document, new, it doesn't make a difference. Where did this go? I use it all the time. :( The keyboard shortcuts related to Find/Change don't work either. (Spellcheck isn't working correctly either--I posted a separate bug report about that. Are these related issues?)

renumbering pages during optimization
I combined single pdf pages into a new binder. Labeled page numbers, and some with prefix. Saved it out as a optimized file and the numbers are now relabeling themselves. Tends to happen when I have created a prefix in the page labels. Never happened before Adobe CC 2018.

The numbered portion of a heading in its own frame cannot be included in conditional text
Windows 10 InDesign version 13.1 x64 (CC up-to-date)
I created a sequentially numbered head using bullets and numbering in Style editor. Placed the head in its own frame at the top of a page (# mark at the end of the head). Selected the head (variously using click-drag and 4-click) Only the directly entered text highlighted - not the numbered portion, not the # symbol. I applied a text condition. When the condition was made invisible, the directly-entered text disappeared as expected, but the numbered portion of the text ("Section 9:") did not. Numerous attempts to select the numbered portion…1 vote -
En Dashes turned into a Russian Cyrillic Small letter Yeru
On Feb. 19, 2018, I worked on a document in InDesign CC 13.0 (Mac). I saved the document and all was good. Yesterday, March 28, 2018, I made some edits to the same document using CC 13.1 (Mac). But when a co-worker reviewed it, they noticed that the En Dashes (Unicode: 2013) I had used as a Bullet character had turned into a Russian glyph (Cyrillic Small letter Yeru, Unicode: 044B).
The bulleted section of the document was not revised between Feb. 19th and yesterday. The edits I made were in other sections of the document. Nor did I change…

Issue at hand. The latest InDesign and Illustrator have poor GPU performance. All of my fonts and graphics are "blurry" and Pixlelated. No one has called me back, and am pretty disappointed.

Changes are not tracked when you copy and paste text from more than one cell into a table
This exists in all version of InDesign and InCopy.
To reproduce (see corresponding images):
a) Create a new document with a table filled with text and in InCopy set it to tr.ack changes.
b.) Copy the contents of at least two cells.
c.) Paste the contents into different cells.
d.) Initially these changes will be showed as tracked in story/galley view.
e.) When the document is saved and the reopened these changes are no longer tracked.
- The expected result is that the changes should remain tracked after the document is saved and reopened.
