1. ID 14.0.2: Fonts menu STILL collapses while browsing through the list of fonts.

   Despite upgrading to ID 14.0.2, the same bug happens as described there: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/35736199-typekit-or-adobe-fonts-or-fonts-menu-collapses-w

   The bug happens with my personnal font collection. So far I haven't used TypeKit. I'm using FontXplorer 6.0.6. Last High Sierra version on a iMac 3,1 Ghz Late 2011.

   On top of that, the font selection tool skips some fonts while browsing the fontlist.

   This is an ABSOLUTE nightmare.

2. InCopy becomes very slow when a cross-linked document is closed

   InCopy 14.4, MacOS Mojave 10.14.4
   I work on an InCopy document that was assigned to me from InDesign. I want to create a cross reference to another document. Hereto I open that document, check out the content, switch back to my working document and create the references.
   After this I close the referred document and this freezes InCopy. What I see is that the CC-synchronization starts to blink constantly in my top bar. Every mouse click or cursor movement takes appr. 45 seconds to take effect.
   This is unworkable.

3. Некорректно работает пробная версия

   При запуске Indesign вылазит окошко с активацией пробной 7-дневной версии, после ее активации данное окно не пропадает и появляется на экране каждые 10 секунд. Что-либо редактировать в файле не получается. Помимо этого это окно с активацией еще и тормозит, какой смысл давать пользоваться демо-версией 7 дней, если она работает неправильно?

4. Updating to Mac OSX Mojave, Indesign now behaving slow and shortcut make new document does not work anymore

   Drawing a box, moving it around etc is now a kind of laggy. Moves but slow and kind of stuttering.

   The GUI overall, menus etc, behaves a bit slower as well. Not much but not as quick and responsive at it was in Sierra.

   Have tried de-activating GPU but that has no difference at all.

   I have the latest version, 14.0.2.
   Updated to Mojave because the Adobe chat support suggested that would help out some other issues I have had.
   One reason was that command + new shortcut stopped working. And now it stopped working again...

   Same thing happens in Illustrator so it seems to be something of a Mojave comparability?

   Other software (non-adobe) seems to be just fine though.

   Using a Imac 2017, i7, 32 ram, 1 tb ssd.

   I'm a big fan of technology but in Adobes case it seems as going back a few years actually was better having a lot fewer issues in the software.
   (For me it all started with the bloody CC subscription thing.)

5. Text selection selects whole document AND cursor jumps to top of document after saving

   InCopy 14.0. MacOs Mojave 10.14.4
   I work in a icml-document which was assigned to me from InDesign. It contains references to other documents and a lot of comments (for the designer).
   After I have made the third or later comment, it becomes impossible to select text. InCopy selects the text from the top of the document upto the point where I click the mouse. When I try Option+Shift+Arrow, the cursor jumps to the top of the document. I can save the document, after which the issue is away until I have made a few extra comments, but which also puts the cursor again at the top of the document. This is unworkable, because I continually have to search the position I was editing.
   I have tried to switch from Adobe CC to iCloud Drive, this makes no difference.
   I have tried to copy all the content to a fresh document, this also makes no difference.
   I unfortunately cannot attach the document that I am working on, because this page does nog accept icml-files of a zipfile.

6. InDesign opens two files when only one selected.

   When I open a file, InDesign will open another file at the same time, one that I didn't select. Not a horrible inconvenience, but why is this happening?

7. File Info box does not displaying

   File Info box does not display on screen. It can be escaped or the default OK chosen, but all other operations are locked out so you cannot find it. Operating InDesign 14.0.2 on macOS 10.14.4 using a secondary monitor LG Ultra HD Display 30.5 inch.

8. Shadow Effects Washing Out Image

   I am using InDesign 14.0.2 on a Mac with Mojave 10.14.3.

   When trying to add a drop shadow or inner shadow, the image gets washed out. I've provided screenshots that show the image with and without effects.

   My supervisor also noticed this on her computer. I believe she is on High Sierra and CC2019 but I don't know if it is up-to-date on her machine.

9. 23.0.3 Adobe PDF Preset / Transparency Flattener Preset "Convert Text To Outlines" Not Working

   In all previous versions of Illustrator and InDesign, when saving a PDF, I have been able to set my PDF settings to convert all text to outlines by checking "Convert All Text To Outlines" in my Adobe PDF preset. Since my recent update to 23.0.3, this feature is no longer working properly. The setting is still an option, however, upon save/export of the PDF, text is not converted to outlines as it previously was.

   I have reached out to customer support for this issue and have been informed that this issue is "expected behavior of the software".

   How is this issue considered “expected behavior” when:

   1) Setting Adobe PDF presets and Transparency Flattener presets to "convert text to outlines" is a feature of the software
   2) It has worked flawlessly in ALL previous versions of Illustrator and InDesign

   This is a pretty common practice that designers use when creating print documents. Most printers require all text to be outlines when receiving project files. It is very time consuming to manually change all text to outlines when you're working with a 100+ page project file. This feature, which I and countless others use on a daily basis, prevents the error of accidentally saving over a working file as well as saving time when preparing documents for print.

   If this feature (which is still showing as a feature in the current version) has been removed, I deeply implore you to bring this feature back.

   In all previous versions of Illustrator and InDesign, when saving a PDF, I have been able to set my PDF settings to convert all text to outlines by checking "Convert All Text To Outlines" in my Adobe PDF preset. 11. TEXT EDIT

    When I try to edit text I now always have to double click on text box twice as the first time doesn't work. This is incredibly frustrating and time consuming. I have tried all of the suggestions on the adobe forums including re-installing and turning off type contextual controls but nothing works. A separate issue that has come up is my InDesign keeps crashing when i try to add rows to a table.

12. Index "Number Style Override" not working on multivolume works

    InDesign is not recognizing "Number Style Override" on a book document with seven documents. Only recognizing the overrides on the document in which the index is generated. Major suck points there.

    I'm running Mac OSX Mojave, 10.14.1, on a MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch from mid 2015. InDesign CC 2019.

13. InDesign-window "Missing Links in document" does not appear when Microsoft DFS-Links not available

    SITUATION
    We migrated our old Active Directory "OldAD.ads" to a complete new one "NewAD.ads"
    We use InDesign CC2019 (latest Version)

    All out file-shares are mounted on client computers with Microsoft DFS-Links.
    - Old DFS-Link: \OldAD\DFS\OldShare - The DFS-Links points to a share on our old fileserver: \OldFileServer.OldAD.ads\Share_OLD
    All shares on the old fileserver are closed, so the DFS-Links have no destination but are still "available".

    • New DFS-Link: \NewAD\DFS\NewShare - The DFS-Links points to a share on our new fileserver: \NewFileServer.NewAD.ads\Share_NEW

    Both fileservers hold "their" (Active Directory based) DFS-structure.

    Of course, all users open their files on the new fileserver, shares are mounted via the new DFS-structure.

    THE REAL STRANGE ERROR
    As long as the old fileserver and old Domaincontroller are up, InDesign acts as expected: We open an old document, the windows "missing links in document" comes up, we fix the broken links, the document opens, everything is fine.

    BUT when I shut down the fileserver and the last domaincontroller, the following happens: We open an old document (containing links to documents, that were on shares mounted via the old DFS on our old fileserver), InDesign freezes and the mouse pointer circles. I waited up to 30 minutes, nothing happened. And now comes the really strange thing: When I unplug the network cable (no joke), the "missing links in document"-windows comes to front and I can fix the broken links after plugging in the cable again.
    When I turn on the old fileserver and domaincontroller again, everything works fine again.

    I can reproduce this error on all our 4 InDesign-workstations. The error only appears when the broken path contains a DFS-Link and the link is not available any more - no matter if the "real" share behind the link is available or not.
    The InDesign option "Ignore missing links when opening a document" does not affect the error, it happens when the option is set or not.

    SITUATION

14. Unusable actual InDesign CC 2019

    Actually InDesign is not production ready. Every few seconds the beach ball spins. I found a workaround which is … well ok but not satisfying: As long as I work in the idml-file it works but as soon as I'm opening an indd file the program slows down extremely.

    That can't be the solution! Why don't you see that?

16. When relinking multiple files Skip causes a cancel, not a skip

    Steps to reproduce the issues
    1. Select multiple files in the Links panel.
    2. Click the Relink button.
    3. Click on the Skip button at the bottom of the dialogue

    Expected result
    The current file is skipped an I can continue to relink other files selected

    Actual result
    The relink process is canceled

    There is already a Cancel button so the Skip button should provide a different result. It seems intuitive that Skip means Skip this file, but continue with the other selected files.

17. Command-Tab doesn't switch to Indesign document

    I use Command-Tab constantly on MacOS to switch between Indesign and other open apps on my system. In ID2019, when I use the shortcut to switch back to ID from another app, it no longer consistently brings the frontmost open ID document into focus. Instead what happens is the palettes will come in to view but the frontmost window of the app I'm switching from is still on top of the open ID file. This doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it's very annoying. I am most often switching between ID and Acrobat Pro or Google Chrome and this behavior seems to happen no matter the other open apps on my system.

19. hypen text

    In french, in compound words (like Pyrénées-Orientales) wraping mst be made only after the hypen. Wehn I use wrapping, InDesign wrap the word (for exemple Pyrénées-Orien-tales). Is it possible to have the choise, in the wrapping parameters, not to cut the compound words?
    I use InDesign 14;0;2 on Windows 7.

20. CC Library after last update now puts white box around all graphics

    After the latest update, when I use my library to place a logo on a page in InDesign, it now almost looks like a white background PNG instead of the logo without any background. Running into printing issues with white boxes around all of our CC Library Graphics.
