1. Mp4 not work at "Place from URL" Option

   I have place mp4 files from "Place from URL" option in the document and its place nicely when I have prepared epub and publish online then doc display empty page after discussion with adobe they told me that mp4 not compatible, so i have to convert video in FLV extension then it will work, which is impossible for me. MP4 is most useful extension and Adobe need to solve this and make mp4 compatible for it.

   Keep in Mind when we place from "Place from URL" Not direct placing of MP4 file, "Place form URL" Option.

2. boxes in all control panels can not be activaded

   In every control panel (no matter where) text or values in the boxes can not be activated. To enter new values or text, I have to delete each letter individually, forwards or backwards. This is very annoying.
   When will this bug finally be fixed?

3. AIGPU sniffer

   Hi I keep having two problems with CC. It seems that Every adobe product that I use opens AIGPU sniffer in ICONS of "last used". Kind of annoying to see that on my OS toolbar all the time.

   Second problem is a spacebar hand problem - even I have seen some solutions it seems it is always something different that interrupts this feature - this is crucial tool to use.

   Both of those bugs I noticed right after I downloaded another update for CC that I always do and I expect to have some bugs on the start - got used to it. But most of the time they are gone after few weeks after upgrade - this time it is months. Please get a new update.

4. content aware fit and EXIF information

   Content aware fit works fine with landscape oriented pictures. And with pictures saved from Photoshop, even if in portrait mode. But when I place a picture in portrait mode which has not been saved by Photoshop yet, there is a problem: Content aware fit seems to ignore the EXIF information in the picture, and treats the picture as landscape-oriented.
   
   I get the same problem when using portrait mode pictures in an ePub with flexible layout. So I think InDesign should read the information of a picture more accurate than it does now.
   Similar but on a different part of the program: InDesign doesn't read colorsync profiles in pictures when they are not saved through Photoshop first. I disapprove this laziness, since Photoshop is perfectly capable of reading the information.

5. Cross reference formats

   Indesign 13.1, Windows
   When editing a cross reference format there is a button to insert special characters such as "opening simple quotation mark" and "closing simple quotation mark" which should look like ,this'. Instead, the resulting opening character is an asterisk (*) and the closing character is a plus (+) -> *this+

7. Slow performance with DFS Namespace

   I'm having problem with Indesign and file and folder on a DFS Namespace, Export takes lot of time while locally no problem. I've tried disabling background export, same problem.

   I'm in version Indesign 2019 14.0.2

8. Error Code 0 - Often can't save as InDesign-Document

   InDesign often says that it can't save my InDesign-Document, because its damaged (error code 0) . It damage my files, so that i've to save as IDML.

   Annoying.

   Cant't reproduce the problem.
   I work local, so it can't be an connection-problem.

   Few of our users have commented that the issue is still not fixed for them. We sincerely regret the trouble caused.

9. problem with command "cross column"

   when I apply the command "cross columns" to a title and in the next page there is no space to scroll the text, the title instead of remaining in the current page goes to the next page

10. InDesign crashes on Hyperlink panel open

    Latest version of InDesign 2018.

11. Radial gradient becomes oval when rectangle frame is vertical

    Radial gradient becomes oval when rectangle frame is vertical

    1) Version: InDesign CC 2018
    2) Draw a vertical rectangular shape and insert a radial gradient
    3) Expecting the gradient to be a perfect circle.
    4) Actual result is an oval gradient that is impossible to change into a perfect circular gradient, even when holding the Shift key while using the Gradient Swatch Tool.
    5) No matter what I do, the gradient remains an oval, unless I stretch the shape back to a square or a horizontal rectangle.

    The only annoying way I found to temporarily solve this problem is to rotate the horizontal rectangle 90 degrees. This allows me to use the Gradient Swatch Tool as I wish to create a perfect circular blend anywhere in the rectangular shape.

    Any solution to this without having to rotate the shape?

12. Hyperlinks copy/pasted between files *appear* to break after source document is removed.

    Using CC2019 on a Mac running High Sierra

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Create a document with a few hyperlinks in it.
    2) Whilst this document is open, open a 2nd document, and copy/paste the links from one document to the other.
    3) Save both and close.
    4) Trash source document

    Expected result: hyper links should work in Target document as expected.

    Actual result: hyperlinks all appear broken in document. Whilst an exported PDF appears to still work, ID reports all those links as broken.

    Other details:
    If you retrieve the source document from the trash, it the links in the target document suddenly start working again, meaning your not actually pasting the hyperlink, but theres some sort of link that exists between the source and target document.

    Saving target file as a new file, saving as idml, has no effect – those links are still tied to the source document.

    This in an absolute tragedy if you are working on large documents with lots of links, and needs fixing ASAP

14. Keyboard shortcuts to move around Layout not working (listed under Layout Menu)

16. Transparency Bug

    BUG
    Periodically, transparency function stops working. Objects previously displayed as transparent no longer render that way. Usually restarting indesign fixes it.

17. Italics not showing in InDesign CC2019 - but does in all other versions

    I have a .docx file that when brought into InDesign CC2019 (14.0.2) the italics do not show. The italics show in all other versions of InDesign. This is worrying for when we work on long documents. The error still occurs if the file is changed to a .doc file.

    Can you please tell me what part of text in the word file is not imported as italics in Indesign?
    The italics portion in the word file are:
    Australian Book Review
    H-France Review
    je ne sais quoi

    all of which are imported as italics in InDesign

    Can you tell me what am i missing?

18. Pasted text acquires overprint attribute

    Copying a number of items from one document to another, all of the text that did not have an outline had its overprint attribute turned on, despite being off in the source file. It was particularly annoying to fix because most of the text was white (Paper swatch), for which the overprint setting is uneditable: I had to turn all the white text to a different colour, uncheck the overprint, then make it white again. (Using InDesign v14.0.2 on Mac OS v10.12.6.)

    IMO there should never be a reason to overprint items using the Paper swatch anyway, so this attribute should get turned off rather than just being disabled, which has the effect of ‘locking in’ the current state no matter how inappropriate.

19. Errors in grep-processing in 2019

    Some days ago was message about error in usage grep-queries and patch to fix it.

20. two font sizes listed in character panel

    I am applying a paragraph style and for some reason the font size was not changing to the size specified. There is no character style applied to the text to override the paragraph style. I did notice that my character panel showed two font sizes, with the second size, the one I want, in parenthesis. Not sure what is going on here.

    The font size in parentheses is the new font size when the document has been resized using Liquid Layout’s Scale rule. The font size outside the parentheses is the original font size – that is, it looks like this:
    Original Font Size(New Font Size) – eg., 12 pt(8.1).
    Have you selected an Alternate Layout page where this rule was applied?
