Align to page when only one item selected!
I usually have 'Align to Selection' as my default. Wouldn't it be great if when only one item is selected that the align buttons use 'Align to Page'

Align Stroke to guides
I want to be able to align or snap the stoke of an object to the guides based on the selected Align Stroke. Right now if I have a rectangle with a stroke of 6pt and the Align Stroke is set to center, when I approach a guide it snaps on the top of the object instead of the center of the stroke.

Keyboard shortcut for Align Justify w/last line right
The default action in the Align Justify keyboard shortcut is to align the last line in the paragraph to the left (Shift+Cmd+J).
There is no keyboard shortcut to align the last line to the right. Please add it; it’s very important to my RTL text workflow.1 vote -
Link comments to text as well as to physical location in graphics frame
This could be viewed as a bug report, from the user's perspective. And I am a user and not a coder or designer for ID (though I am a UX dweeb.) However, from a coder/designer standpoint, this is a feature request, thus posting here rather than as a bug.
The feature is to link comments not to an x,y location on a spread, but to (1) an x,y location within a graphics frame, or (2) for a text frame, to specific text in that frame. Linking to text can be by highlighting the text and then attaching…

Align round a circle
There shod be an option (in all of the Adobe programs) to have align around a circle and to be able to distribute the objects evenly around a circle (or other shape for that matter)

add effects to paragraph shading/frame
This CC 2018 Update is fantastic!
The only thing I am missing is the lack of possibility to add effects like shadows, on paragraph shadings and frames.
This would be extremely helpful for a heavy-graphical CI, where text - spanning over more than one column or frame - must be underlaid with shadowed frames. Actually, when page breaks are to be corrected, I have to adjust those background frames manually, which is quite time-consuming.

Align points on a path using direct selection and the Align tool like AI does
Make it possible to select points on a path via Direct selection and then use the Align tool them to each other like AI allows. This would make drawing precise lines far easier.

Align to column function
InDesign really needs an align to column function, especially for centering objects within a column. This seems to be a really simple oversight.

Align from page edge
Among the various types of “Align to:”, in addition to “Align to margins” and “Align to page”, it would be useful to also have an “Align from page edge”, considering the edge as an element to distance from. In this way, we can avoid putting empty blocks beyond the page margins to distribute the spacing of objects across the entire page.

Align to page when only one object is selected
It would be helpful if the align command defaulted to align to page when only one object is selected. There is no risk of confusion as an object cannot be aligned with itself :)
This would remove a lot of unnecessary switching back and forth in the align options, as the default use case at least for me is align to selection.

Title interrupting frame border
For a title within a frame, a not-uncommon graphic design method is to have the title interrupting the frame. You can create a title with a paragraph border and shading and then shift the paragraph, border and shading up, but instead of overprinting over the frame border, the frame border goes through the middle of the title.

Add an "Align to Bleed" in the Align panel/options or Snap to Bleed in View.
The align pallet is invaluable to me as I design catalogs with lots of pages with bleed that switch from left to right regularly during the process, with different backgrounds too. However, when aligning to bleed, I have to manually line up the backgrounds with the bleed line, and its a minor inconvenience not to mention leaves room for human error. Would love to be able to quickly align my backgrounds to right or left outside bleeds, and also snap my backgrounds to the bleed line to make sure it is 100 percent lined up. Sometimes it looks like…

Align operations on selected anchorpoints from different frames
When selection a series of individual anchorpoints from different frames, I would like to be able to perform operations from the align-window (like distribute centers). Thus making it possible to shape a series of frames in one go. I.e. when you would want an angled side to a series of frames.

EXACT ALIGNMENT OF TEXT TO EDGE TEXT BOX
Perfect right and left alignment of text so that all of the end-of-line characters exactly hit the edge of the text box.
This is useful for certain designs that entail perfect geometric type alignment.
See attached screen shot showing the default setting of right aligned text.

TOC Page number BEFORE and align number RIGHT automatically
InDesign has offered the ability to put the page number before the text entry in a generated table of contents for quite some time. However, if you have more than 10 pages, pages 1-9 don't align right (as they should - or if more than 100 pages, 1-99). It would be great if you could have that done automatically without adding a tab stop in the paragraph style and manually adding a tab before each page number.

Footnotes from all text frames and tables on every page
My booklets almost always have a complex layout with some (2-5) tables with visible or invisible borders and (2-5) text frames on one page.
I need there a consistent numbering of footnotes at the end of the page or spread from all tables and text frames on that page (separate for every page). I.e. real footnotes for the whole page not for a single text frame.A lot of people for sure have the same issue.
New endnotes feature in October 2017 update does not resolve the problem at all.
This input may be closely related…

"Remove Frame" option
If you have several items that are grouped together in a frame, it can be difficult to edit them. You have to cut them out of the frame to ungroup them.

Text wrapping around image should honor Corner Options
See this forum thread for details: https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/wrapping-text-around-a-graphics-frame-with-corner-options/m-p/11776379
There are two issues - a feature request and what I think is actually a bug (related to the workaround for the lacking feature).
The primary question I asked in the forum feels like a bug to me, but I'm told it should be considered a feature request. So I request that in terms of text wrap, graphics frames generated by placing an image would behave the same as graphics frames created by the frame tool. If an image is placed and then Corner Options are applied, …
