add effects to paragraph shading/frame
This CC 2018 Update is fantastic!
The only thing I am missing is the lack of possibility to add effects like shadows, on paragraph shadings and frames.
This would be extremely helpful for a heavy-graphical CI, where text - spanning over more than one column or frame - must be underlaid with shadowed frames. Actually, when page breaks are to be corrected, I have to adjust those background frames manually, which is quite time-consuming.

Agreed, would like to be able to use opacity on the shading so that when I have a shaded background it can have some level of opacity and the text can stay 100% white. At the moment I either have to have the text be the same opacity or do it as a separate text box and not use the shading.

This would be fantastic. My own personal use for it would be to use Gradient Feather on the shading...
