InDesign 2026 cursor scaling problem
Subject: Cursor remains extremely small on 27-inch 4K monitor despite all available scaling settings
I would like to report a HiDPI scaling issue in Adobe InDesign 2026 that affects usability on professional 4K monitors.
My setup consists of two displays connected to the same Windows PC:
- ASUS ProArt PA279CRV – 27-inch, 3840 × 2160 (4K)
- KOORUI 27-inch – 1920 × 1080 (Full HD)

Can't change bounding box size when stroke is applied
InDesign 15.0.1
When I create a rectangle with fancy corners, when I change the stroke to the outside it won't let me adjust the size of the box. If I grab the side and drag it to where I want it snaps into place smaller. If I go up to the tool bar at the top & try to change it that way regardless of whether I try to change it bigger or smaller it just makes it smaller & it doesn't just go 1px at a time it changes 6px+ & if I try to just do vertical…

Title: Restore Immediate Visibility of Resize Handles on Frame Selection Post
In the latest InDesign updates, the resize handles (bounding box corners and sides) no longer appear immediately when selecting a text or graphic frame. They only show up after moving the cursor. This is a serious usability issue.
Without visible handles, there's no clear feedback that the correct object has been selected—especially problematic when working with layered or overlapping elements. This change breaks long-standing workflow habits and slows down production.
Please restore the previous behavior or at least add a preference toggle to always show resize handles immediately upon selection.

will not find/change text in locked boxes. why is there an option to find/changed locked text if it does not work?
My idea is if you have a feature in the find/change panel that ostensibly allows you to find and change text in locked layers or boxes....that it should work to change the text! Trying to change locked section heds, but the feature won't find and change them unless they are unlocked. Which. IS. Not. Helpful.

InDesign CC 2026 - Arrange windows does not use full screen area
When using InDesign without the application frame ("Anwendungsrahmen" in the german version we use) active, opening multiple documents and trying to arrange them with any of the options in Windows > Arrange ("Fenster" > "Anordnen") the windows are arranged according to the deactivated/invisible application frame and not the full screen as in previous versions. Also, when the application frame is scaled to the full screen and then deactivated, the arranged windows keep a thin row on the bottom of the screen free (and overlap in the vertical center by this amount). Application Frame Sticks to One External Monitor and Fails to Move Between Monitors (Windows 11)
I am experiencing an issue with a user where the application frame is stuck on a specific external monitor. When I attempt to drag the window to another external monitor, it automatically reverts to its original position on the main monitor. I can minimize and drag the corners to adjust size of window but cannot move it over to other monitors. This behavior occurs across multiple workstations, and I have already attempted the following troubleshooting steps:
Ensured that all software is fully updated.
Restarted the device multiple times.
Adjusted the resolution settings and reinstalled display drivers.

Where is the Reverse Layout option in Adobe Indesign 2020? I am trying to create an arabic version of a book and have to mirror the layouts previous versions had this option. I do not seem to find this option anywhere.

Acrobat extension for Chrome renders sheared rectangles incorrectly in PDF exported from InDesign CC 2022 / 24
Filled sheared rectangles in PDF documents exported from InDesign are rendered incorrectly in the Adobe Acrobat extension for Chrome, but displays as expected in other PDF readers [ Preview, Safari, Quickview, etc. ]. The sheared rectangles are displayed as a box of the fill colour with the outer bounds of the sheared shape. Adding a stroke suggests the sheared rectangle is preserved, but is not honoured by the fill.
Work around: Adding an additional anchor point, or rounding the corners, appears to correct this issue.

'manage extensions' not in 'help' dropdown
The extensions option is not showing in the "help" menu. When I go to the Help Menu there is no "Manage Extensions" option. Please provide troubleshooting steps as I need to load a local extension into inDesign. type kits
The option to have Adobe typekits is not showing up on any of my CC applications. I have the latest version of the CC subscription, however I no longer have the option to get adobe type kits.

image box not working
When drawing image frame, the option to link an image no longer appears. Can only insert images in the document by using Place option from menu drop down. There should be a button that shows when I draw an image box that gives me option to link in a image from files- a new image or relink an image. Neither of these is available.

Right swiping a hyperlink and then right clicking produces inconsistent context menu
Hi there,
If I have a hyperlink as plain text and then highlight it, then right-click the area, I sometimes get an option to turn it into a hyperlink and other times I get the spell checker menu with not such option.
It would be good if the option to turn text into a hyperlink was always visible when you right-clicked highlighted text. I have dynamic spell checking turned on.

Placement cropping set to "Art" when relinking an Indd file to a pdf
A bug in Indesign 13.0.1. Mac OSX
Place an Indd document inside one.
Relink all instances of said link to a pdf file created from the linked Indd file.
The placement option changes to "Art" regardless of what has been the last option set when placing pdf:s.Expected to the pdf's retain cropping to media as is the case with Indd files OR retain cropping from last set option in the Place pdf dialog.
Pdfs cropped to "Art".

make guides
I want to make angled guides but I can't find a solution? The only thing I could find online isn't available for some reason even though I have the most updated version of Indesign. The solution people posted was to right click and there should be an option to 'make guides' out of a shape but that option does not exist. super frustrating and this always seems to happen where there is this made up easy fix that I apparently don't have access to.
