1. "remove forced line breaks" gets unchecked any time I load table of contents styles

   Bug report:
   Version of Adobe InDesign: 20.4.1 x64
   Steps to reproduce the issues: Create TOC style with the option "remove forced line breaks" checked and save file. Start a new file and load the TOC style from the earlier file.
   Expected result: TOC style remains unchanged from original after loading.
   Actual result: TOC style loads, but "remove forced line breaks" has been automatically unchecked.

2. Adjusting dashes and gaps on path moves dashes off path

   Opened a PDF of a line chart in Illustrator, copied/pasted into InDesign CC 13.0.1, then noticed the dashes of stroked paths didn't follow the path accurately in some places. On setting the "Corners" control to "None" those path's dashes snapped precisely to the path, but selecting any of the three Corners settings made the dashes move off the path the same amount. 3. Indesign 13.1 x64 (PC), Cell styles, Ignore option not working

   I can't get the "Ignore" option to work when setting up cell styles, I've had it working on previous versions, but now it won't stay (it needs to show in the rule type and colour setting selector panel but when I select "Ignore" nothing shows in the panel - it needs to display the "Ignore" setting). An example of when you might use it is if you've set up a table with various cell styles, eg header row, thin underlines, thick underlines and a table end rule and then want to apply a tint panel to all, or some of one or more columns without changing any of the rules applied using other cell styles (Annual Reports are documents where you would like this to work)
   It's a very handy feature that doesn't seem to work any more.

4. Two finger trackpad zoom in OSX is broken

   I use Option + Two Finger Up Or Down on the track pad to zoom in InDesign.

   While it seems to zoom in fine, it almost never zooms out properly. Often when I try and zoom out it zooms in further.

   This behaviour works just fine in other Adobe apps such as Illustrator.

   I'm running Mac OSX Catalina 10.15.7 on a 2019 16" Macbook Pro.

5. [ID-4256174]InDesign crashes while searching any font/word, etc., which is in overset text.

   We have simple scripts that operate on script labels to Find and Replace Text, adjust Text Size, things like that. We've been using them for three years with no problems prior to v2025. They crash and bring up the option to send an error report. We're rolling back to 2024 now, we can't operate efficiently without these scripts.

6. Keep settings not honoured

   The Keep option 'Keep with next n' is not always honoured. Please open the attached document for an example.

   The page contains three threaded text frames. A heading appears on top of the second frame. A float was placed (with wrap applied) that pushes the text out of the second frame into the third frame so that the heading stays in the second frame, on its own.

   The expectation is that the heading moves with the text to the third frame.

7. Resizing object with 'Auto-Fit' enabled now broken in 15.1

   In version 15.0.3 and earlier, if you enabled the 'Auto-Fit' option and then resized an object by entering values in the Width or Height fields the content would resize along with the frame (as expected).

   With 15.1 this no longer works. The frame resizes but the content doesn't. Only way for 'Auto-Fit' to behave as expected is to drag the frame handles.

8. Package-PDF and Export-PDF create different results

   Mac OS Monterey 12.6 / Adobe InDesign 18.3

   Function "Create Package" with a PDF and selected job.options (PDF Presets) creates PDF with wrong downsampling for images.

   Function "Export PDF" with same PDF Preset creates PDF with expected quality

   Why is there a difference?

9. Pages navigation jumping two pages at a time

   I've got a strange bug on a 100 single pages document. Sometimes (twice this week) when I'm using the shortcut Fn-option-up/down arrow to jump to the next page, inDesign will jump 2 pages at a time.

   It will behave like this until I double click on a page in the pages panel.

   Weird and annoying, but not sure I can reproduce.

10. Maintain vertical alignment textframe when using Text Wrap

    When a text frame with vertical alignment 'Bottom' is partially over a frame which uses Text Wrap, the alignment isn't locked to the bottom of the frame anymore. Is it possible to maintain the set vertical alignment when using the Text Wrap option (see screenshot). (MacOS 10.15.7, INDD 16.4 + 17.1)

11. refresh all stories not working correctly

    InDesign 2020 v15.0.3 running on Mac Catalina.
    When I type command-option-/ to refresh stories the refresh seems to go into a toggle mode swapping back and forward between correct and incorrect layouts. Very difficult to know if the correct version is working. Similar to the 2017 bug where table headers disappeared but even WORSE as the usual fix does not work consistently. Have to manually check EVERY page of document before sending to client as layout goes crazy.

12. Dictionary: Added words using context-menu are only in lowercase, but should be with uppercase letter

    Language: German
    Using User-dictionary

    If I'll add a word from text (wich contains an uppercase letter at first position) to the user-dictionary using context-menu (right click on mouse), I get the option to add. After this, the word is added, but only in lowercase, although the checkbox "upper/lowercase active" is enabled.
    Workaround: Adding the word with uppercase letter by using the menu-bar: "Bearbeiten -> Rechtschreibprüfung -> Benutzerwörterbuch" inserts the word in uppercase.
    Please have a look and change it.

13. Paragraph style not applying when selecting the wanted style

    Indesign version 20.0.1

    When highlighting the desired text that I wish to apply the paragraph style to and clicking on the preferred paragraph style. The click animation attempts to very briefly 'grab' the style rather than select it. This works on any paragraph style I try.

    I have a similar issue when selecting a colour swatch to apply, the only option is to grab and drag the desired swatch to where it is needed.

    I also cannot change the font when selecting the text I wish to change and selecting a font from the drop down.

    This is only a recent issue for me that I have experienced over the past week or so.

    I have tried using older versions of Indesing such as 19.5 & 19.4. And am still having the same issues.

14. Frustrated - lagging pointer

    In order to get my mouse cursor to a legible size, I need to enlarge the cursor size in system preferences.

    But I just determined with a tech support after 1 HOUR AND 20 MINUTES. That enlarging my cursor is causing lag in InDesign.

    He said (paraphrasing), "It's your fault for not upgrading to Big Sur."

    I said, "Well is OSX Mojave supported in InDesign 2021??"

    He said, "Yes."

    I said, "I want to report this as a bug."

    He said, "Go to this bug support page."

    I said, "No one has ever replied to me when I go to indesign.uservoice.com."

    He said, "They will reply to you."

    So that's why I'm reporting this here.

    You give me no good options. Either I have to resize the cursor small in order to move it around in InDesign. Or else, I can see the cursor and it moves slow.

    BTW, this bug does NOT happen in Illustrator, Photoshop, (nor in my other design programs) but only in InDesign!

    This is below my expectations for this software. Disappointing.

    You are the Forbes biggest growing company or whatever. Put some more money into fixing bugs, and your bug extermination squad.

15. Two-page paragraph border

    I have a picture and the caption on two differentes pages. I want to draw a line between them. So I use paragraph border. In InDesign, it is OK (see image Dans InDesign.jpg) but in the PDF, the line stops at the edge of the page (see Dans Acrobat.jpg). Somebody says me to generage the PDF with board option. It's a good idea but the printer refuses to use this file.

16. When relinking multiple files Skip causes a cancel, not a skip

    Steps to reproduce the issues
    1. Select multiple files in the Links panel.
    2. Click the Relink button.
    3. Click on the Skip button at the bottom of the dialogue

    Expected result

17. Accessing alternate characters in fonts for paragraph styles

    MacOS: 13.5
    Adobe Indesign 18.5
    Version of font: Inter Medium 3.019;git-0a5106e0b

    Recently I have been trying to access the alternate closed ‘a’ character in the font Inter from Google fonts. For some reason I can not access this alternate character and set as a universal style to apply to other text boxes.
    I have approached GitHub to flag Inter with issues but have been informed that it might not be an issue with the font but rather how Indesign UI is accessing it. Please note that Adobe Illustrator seems to access this alternate closed ‘a’ character with the Open Type ‘Stylist Alternatives’ option but Indesign can not.

    Steps to reproduce the behaviour:
    Using Inter font - Type a normal ‘a’ within text box in InDesign (Ive been testing Inter Medium but seems any Inter weight should replicate the issue).
    Try swapping out the lowercase ‘a’ to the alternate closed ‘a’ with the character or paragraph windows - this is to make sure that I can save the style to apply to other text throughout the document.
    Please note: this option should be available to save as a style in order to use this as a universal paragraph style for any future text. Just swapping out an alternate character with find/replace is not a solution.

    Expected behaviour
    One of the alternate character options or stylist sets should universally change out all lowercase ‘a’ characters to closed ‘a’ character so that the style can be set for the whole document.

18. missing fonts

    CC 2019 - MISSING FONT MESSAGE OPENING FILES

    InDesign files opened on pc's after upgrading to Windows ver1809 cannot load fonts - upon opening file, missing fonts error with option to substitute fonts. The same files will open correctly on Windows ver1803 pc's. These results can be duplicated on multiple pc's.

19. rotating arrows for image not showing

    When selecting an image inside a frame using the A shortcut, or the white arrow, the rotating arrows (that should appear when hovering over the corners of that image) don't show up. It works fine when using the Content Grabber and the black arrow.

20. Analytics Publish Online not loading statistics

    Many of us have raised the publish online dashboard analytics slow loading and/or complete failure to work and it still seems to ne ignored.

    We have noticed across our design team that analytics seems to work differently across different accounts. Accounts with less documents published online have greater success and speed in returning analytics. Those with over a 100 documents for example have limited success.

    We think this maybe due to that when you request the analytics for a 'single' document Adobe systems are not just loading that 'single' document. They are processing the whole account and all documents within.

    This would makes sense in that an account with less documents can retrieve statistics for 1 year or 'since published' options. But an account with hundreds of documents 'for us' is limited to 60 to 90 day statistics.

    We assume this 'whole account' processing must be the case because when statistics for a single document are received for say a 1 year date range - all other documents can be 'instantly' viewed for that 1 year date range without any reloading or searching of the data.

    Can Adobe please fix this or at least tell us if it will NOT be fixed.
