  2. indesign not printing

    I recently upgraded to Mojave. I have the Adobe Creative Suite Premium and a Canon ip3500. Printing from the internet and PDF work fine. Illustrator CC 2019 and InDesign CC 2019 won't print directly from the app. I find it silly and inefficient to save a document as a PDF for printing.What happened and how do I fix it?

  3. short name in wrong order in TOC

  4. Vector graphics randomly vanish upon transformation in high quality display mode

    If I have a simple InDesign document with a placed .ai or .pdf graphic, and set display quality to "high quality", then proceed to transform the frame using ctrl+shift+drag, the content of the frame will randomly disappear. To get it to display again I have to zoom in or out, or toggle between preview mode. Where multiple objects are on the page sometimes just the one I'm transforming will go, and sometimes others will vanish as well. See the attached video for a demonstration.

  5. Publish Online Does not work if you have Allow Download (Print) chosen.

    Publish Online will get stuck at 98% if you choose the option to allow for download (Print). Even if you go to the Advanced tab and change the PDF settings, it still will not work.

    In Adobe In Design CC 14.0.1 x64
    We use a previous file to keep the formatting of a merged mailing list. I used to be that when you copied the file to a new directory it could no longer find the old data file and gave you a warning. It also would not show you a preview because it could not find the data.

    Unfortunately, the new version seems to have held the old data so we printed the old merged file by mistake. It doesn't even make sense that it should be able to do this if the link…

  7. Non-breaking spaces & non-joiner odd behavior

    The attached file has a bunch of samples. In summary, ID2018 on Mac considers a word and following spaces as one word; and a non-joiner is ignored. You'll need New Century Schoolbook LT Std to maintain proper spacing.

  8. InDesign is unusable after the latest update (13.1) with spell checking and hyphenation is set to Hungarian / Winsoft.

    InDesign is unusable after the latest update (13.1) if spell checking and hyphenation is set to Hungarian / Winsoft. All words are underlined as incorrectly spelled, hyphenation dosen't work, InDesign hangs. If I open a documents saved before the update InDesign displays the document, than hangs.

  9. Find/Replace saves are not not saving

    When searching documents for frequently used word to change it is good to have these saved. this used to work - now if you do save, next time you open indesign they are ALL GONE?

    XXX Company needs to change to YYY Company, save in Find / Replace. Open next job to amend XXX to YYY

  10. Cannot use libraries in InDesign 2018

    Hi, i am having issues when trying to use Text from CC Libraries in InDesign 2018. Dragging content to CC Libraries are working fine, but when i try to use the elements in another document, it shows up blank. I can see the Cloud icon, that shows that the element has been linked with the CC library.

    Also if i edit the element in CC Libraries it also shows blank.

    This is working fine for InDesign 2017 and 2019, but not 2018 where i have my server plugin.

    Have tried to reinstall InDesign 2018

    Deleted the folder
    ~/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign

    Quitted…

  11. [CC2019] [Bug] Sort by name not automatically applied

    After a designer applied "Sort By name" in the paragraph style panel, and adds another style or renames a style, the style list is not automatically sorted again. The panel doesn't keep the list of styles automatically sorted by name.

    Hello All,

    Thank you for your support all this while. The issue is now fixed in the latest update of InDesign.
    Please upgrade to the new InDesign 14.0 from your Creative Cloud Application.

    If you are unable to see the update yet, click on the menu (three dots) on the top right corner of Creative cloud app and click on “Check for App Updates”.

  13. Color Theme Tool not working after upgrade to InDesign CC 14.0

    Hi, this may not actually be a bug and perhaps more of a settings issue - but after upgrading to 14.0 the Color Theme "eyedropper" tool does not seem to be working. The tool selects/highlights properly, palette displays correctly - but the theme elements do not copy over. Any help appreciated as we create / update fairly complex and text-heavy docs on a daily basis.

  14. World-Ready composer breaks hyperlinks for Publish Online

    When the WR composer is applied to text, it breaks hyperlinks when the document is published via Publish Online. The hyperlinks work fine when the document is sent to PDF. The hyperlinks work fine when the WR composer is changed to the Adobe Paragraph Composer.

    Thank you for reporting the issue to us.
    We have fixed the issue in the latest version of InDesign, Id 14.0.3

    Please upgrade your InDesign application to the latest version to try out the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update yet, go to Creative Cloud desktop application, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right corner and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

    If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

  15. pdf comment

    PDF comments are made in an export from a book document from InDesign 2019.
    When importing the comments in the different InDesign files from the book, the comments from the previous book files appear somewhere between the comments of the current book file and are not marked as unmapped comments.

  16. layers panel disappearing

    My layers panel keeps disappearing - I go to the "Window" menu and open it up, do what I need to do and next time I go to use the layers panel - which I haven't closed - it has closed again... I need to keep revisiting the "Windows" menu every time I want to use it.

  18. Hyperlinks between documents in a book file don't work

    I am producing an interactive pdf with hyperlinks to move between pages within the pdf.

    I am doing this using a book file containing 22 indesign documents however some of the links do not work.

    All of the hyperlinks within each document work fine but any that link between the documents just send you to the first page in the book and not to the specified page.

    I am using InDesign CC 13.0.1 on Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.3

    I have produced interactive pdfs in this way before without any issues so this has become broken in one of the…

  19. Interactive PDF fields won’t allow me to enter any text into them when reported from Indd.

    Mac OS 10.13.6 | Indesign CC 13.1 | Acrobat Pro DC 2018.011.20063

    When I create a file in InDesign with text fields for an interactive PDF and export it as interactive PDF I get a PDF with blank fields and the fields won’t allow me to enter any text into them.

    • Go to “Preferences”(Edit menu→Preferences→General)
    • Select the checkbox "Use Legacy “New Document” Dialog"
    • Open “New Document” Dialog using File → New → Document or Ctrl/Cmd+N
    • Provide the snapshot of “Page Size” drop down list in expanded form.
