Packaging files problem with CS6 and High Sierra 10.13.6
I am using CS6 and since upgrading to High Sierra 10.13.6 I can't package files. Error message 'Cannot copy necessary linked file(s). There are 250 linked images I need to package. Please can you tell me what I need to do to fix it?

Crash when searching for column break
Indesign 2018 crashes when searching for column break (~M) – with Find/Change dialog box or via script. It works for me with CC 2017. Not yet tested with CC2019.
The document with 500 pages was newly created with CC2018. It was tested with several computers, always with the same result.

1 voteThe fix for this issue is now available in the latest update (14.0.2) of InDesign 2019.
If you are unable to see the update notification, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

Click "convert" to open this document..... doesn't do anything!!
The error message then tells you "You are not currently signed in to the
CC (which I already am). Please go to Help- > Sign In and enter your Adobe ID. Restart InDesign, then try opening the document again."Performing this action does nothing, the error never goes away, you just go in circles.
1 voteIt looks like InDesign is not recognizing that you are already signed in.
Please try signing out from InDesign once. Quit and relaunch InDesign. Also you could try signing out from Creative Cloud App and sign back in to see if the issue goes away.Adobe InDesign team

Endnotes in epub2 don't work when using split document by paragraph style
After exporting to a reflowable epub 2.0.1, endnotes don't work when you have selected to split the epub using paragraph styles based on export label.

installed font missing
InDesign 13.0.1 on macOS 10.12.6
One installed font from a family of 6 suddenly started showing as not found. Frutiger LT Pro 67 Bold Condensed was correctly showing, now not.
I have re-installed InDesign twice, reinstalled the font, and rebooted several times. Font is correctly showing still in Illustrator and Photoshop.
This is impacting client files and while I have a workaround, I am concerned the problem will occur with other fonts where I don't have a viable solution. (I have another foundry version of that particular font.)

Beim Export eines sRGB-JPG's aus InDesign 2019 ist in dem Foto dann Adobe RGB-Farbraum eingebettet.
Die Farben sind eigentlich korrekt (entsprechen dem sRGB-Farbraum), aber es ist eben fälschlicherweise das Adobe RGB-Etikett eingebettet, so dass die Farben dann falsch interpretiert werden.1 vote -
World-Ready Composer Is messing up the kerning in Latin fonts
I have reported a variation of this—back with CS6—but it seems not to have been fixed. I assume it's a bug, but if someone can enlighten me about what I might be doing wrong and how I can fix this, I'd appreciate it.

GREP "Any Double Quotation Marks" wildcard not working as expected
Version: CC (14.0.1.209)
While using InDesign's Find/Change GREP feature:
The following GREP query wont find the matching string even if it exists in the document: (Any White Space) followed by (Any Double Quotation Marks) followed by (Any Uppercase Letter)
\s"[A-Z]
This should find any white space followed by any double quotation mark followed by any uppercase letter, however it shows no match.
The following GREP searches will work, but when combined they do not work:
\s" will find the white space and the double quotation mark
"[A-Z] will find the double quotation mark and any uppercase letter

Content-Aware Fit-Problem with INDD CC2019, 14.0.1
I had images to link again after receiving a layout from a customer. In some cases, I had massive changes, different sections of images, with the new option activated. I'm not shure about the reason, but if I don't activate the automatic fit, the picture sections are correct in the same layout with the same images.All the best

Hyperlinks broken over two lines exports incorrectly to PDF
Using InDesign CC 13.0.1, I have some urls in a paragraph that are fairly long so have to break over two lines, e.g.
www.websiteaddress.com/subpage/
pagenameWhen I export to pdf, the link will just link to www.websiteaddress.com/subpage/ and the bit with "pagename" is ignored.
I found similar problems posted online from a few years back and the workaround was to set your hyperlinks using the hyperlinks palette, not just rely on the pdf to detect the links automatically. Clicking on master page items with type tool
- InDesign CC2019
- clicking on master page items on a page with the text tool selected should make that text box active – like it has done for so many years
- it doesn’t. You have to change to the main selection tool, then click on the text box, then click back on the type tool to edit the text. Creating a pain when you have a lot of master pages set up.

Margins – Irrelevant error message
CC2019 14.0.1 MacOS
If I have a custom size page in the document (with it's own custom margins), that is smaller than the documents default margins – I get an error message every time I make InD active.To repoduce:
-Make new document – A4 with 20 mm margins
-Add one page
-Change margins on new page to 0 mm
-Change with of new page to 10 mm width
-Hide InDesign

Sometimes when I open a document that I've worked on, some frames (text or/and pictures) have moved 5 mm horizontally. Its random, not all pages but some. This is a great concern since we are doing 164 pages magazines for a client and we have to manually look through every page every time we open the magazine.

book sync object-format does not work as it should

In these documents we use also a nested/grouped object for images containing a frame for image caption and a frame for the image. Where the caption frame does not have a contour, the frame for the image has a contour. For every frame we have created an appropriate named object format. [ID-4208319] InDesign crashes while working with Hyperlink
For some reason there is 1 page number on my TOC that keeps making Indesign crash when I try applying a hyperlink to it. Everything else hyperlinked just fine. Also, I tried to delete the text so I could maybe retype the number but that also makes my application crash.

Kontur aussen ausrichten
Kontur aussen ausrichten stimmt nicht. Kontur soll ausserhalb des Bildrahmens sein, ist es aber nicht. ist momentan wie Kontur innen ausrichten, nur dass es den Bildrahmen automatisch vergrössert. ich möchte jedoch den Bildrahmen am Dokumentenrahmen andocken und dass die Kontur dementsprechend ausserhalb des Dokumentes ist.

I have updated to OSX 10.14 and now my InDesign freezes when I export a PDF. iMac specs attached. I have to force quit the application each time. The strange thing is that even though the app has frozen and the background task shows the PDF as partially complete it seems the PDF is actually being fully created.

overset endnotes
Not sure where to post this. I do a lot of journals using Indesign. I find that in Indesign 2018 and 2019 when you place a Word.doc with endnotes it brings in the endnotes okay but only the first page. The other endnotes are overset. It does not do this in Indesign 2017. Can something be done to fix this?
