1. InDesign White object exports as RGB in PDF/X 2008 PDF

   Not sure if this is a bug or intended but I don't think I have had this before as I have saved this file in the past for printing.

   InDesign Vers. 14.0.3

   White vector object (outlined text in InDesign not Linked/Placed) is changed to an RGB object when exported as a PDF from InDesign using PDF/X 2008 No Conversion Lab Ink Manager Values for Pantones are Lab for Spots & Convert all Pantones to CMYK.

   Tried a test using the Save for Print default setting and it came out fine, as well as testing the Output Color Conversion set to Convert to Destination (Swop) preserve numbers which also did not produce the object as RGD. I tested using the paper colour as well as setting it as CMYK 0000 for the colour.

   My colour settings are set to N/A general purpose.

   If this was a placed object that was RGB white I could understand it not converting to CMYK if I didn't have convert to destination turned on but it is an InDesign Object that is coloured in InDesign using CMYK white.

   Am I missing something?

   InDesign documents are almost unavailable (almost every process).

3. Extendscript hangs CC2019 (14.0.2) on macOS

   Code below works fine on Windows and CC 2018 on Mac. But CC 2019 Mac it hangs the app once clicking the OK button in window 2. I've tried three different Macs including Mojave and High Sierra. All the same result. Pretty sure it's not just me. This bug has broken a number of my scripts that present a secondary window for saving settings.

4. Spanning columns sometimes makes my text move to the next page

   I'm trying to span some text and every time I do that text jumps to the next page. I have the keep options to anywhere so it's not a style sheet issue. This seems to be a new bug related to CC2019. Since I am using footnotes and it's going to be accessible I can't fake it and add another text box.

5. Can't Place images after upgrading to Mac Catalina

   Just upgraded my MacBook Pro to Catalina and suddenly I'm unable to place images. When I select Place from the File menu, click on the file I want, the Open command is grayed out. The only way I can get images onto the page is by dragging them from Bridge. I'm running ID 14.0.3, the latest version.

6. InDesign does not load printer settings initially

   When opening the print window, InDesign will not use the settings set in the printer driver. But if you switch to a different printer in the drop down list and then back to the first printer again, the correct settings will be loaded.
   Using latest version 14.0.3.
   Printing works fine in other Adobe-softwares and MS Office.

7. Add attributes of currently selected text or object to the "Find/Replace" dialog

   Here's an idea. It would be cool if the attributes of whatever you currently have selected, be it text or an object, could be quickly added to the Find/Replace dialog as your "search" terms. That way you don't have to go through and find all the attributes you want to search for, you could just select something that already has those attributes applied and then search. For instance, if you selected text that was bold italic, red, and 12 pt of a certain font and paragraph style, then those attributes could be loaded in the search box instead of having to input each of those to find all text that has those same attributes.

8. Resized vectors not displaying properly in high quality display mode on drag

   14.0.2 x64 on Windows 10

   Steps:
   1. High Quality display mode (default settings)
   2. Place any EPS vector file.
   3. Attempt to resize it while holding ctrl-shift to maintain ratios.

   Expected result:
   The vector file, resized.

   Actual result:
   Grey box. I have to zoom in or out to get the screen to "refresh" and show the correct image.

   Similar issue happens with placed AI file. Very simple, clearly. Just a triangle. Made in the latest version of Illustrator.

   The Youtube button is an EPS.

   Related: If I use the option "Greek Vector Graphics on Drag" it performs correctly, only now I'm viewing a low res image momentarily where on a Mac I was not. It's a "fix" but it's not an acceptable solution to a feature that should work.

9. Data merge should work better with % - empty fields

   when working with factsheets it occurs that there are fields of text that need to be merged. Whenever there is a special character the function doesn't work. This is very very very annoying. It is quite common to use % in text, or brackets (like this)

   Also it should be possible to have a blank cell in the excel merge file. E.g. for 45 lines there is info, but for 1 there isn't. This should be able to be left blank and not obliged to fill in a 0 that you manually need to delete later on.

   Merging happens for more than letters and product numbers...........

10. QR code generation updates

    I love using the QR code generation. However, I am limited to only a few options. My suggestion is to add more options such as, upon scanning the code it would play an audio or a video file. Or, an option to redirect upon scanning to the App Store, or Play Store etc.

11. Shortcut CMD + S increasing the file size.

    Files created within InDesign are increasing in size dramatically with every CMD + S.

    It is not the files linked in the document which are 100 % to the ration they are seen and resetting the cache ~/Library>Caches> Adobe Indesign does not have any effect.

    InDesign CC 2019
    14.0.2

    To test this we have created a quick document with an Adobe Support Technician Saptam (see image-01). This document is 1.5 MB and when the design elements have been deleted and the file saved CMD +S you can see the file size doesn't go down (see image-02).

    It remains at 1.5 MB and only when you go File > Save As through the navigation menu does the file size drop again to 1 MB.

    For illustration purposes this is was only a small test whilst on the chat feature to Adobe. The files I was originally working on were for a point-of-sale suite

    Totem
    3.55 GB (CMD + S)
    644.8 MB (FILE > SAVE AS)

    Wobbler
    1.49 GB (CMD + S)
    279.8 MB (FILE > SAVE AS)

    A1 Poster
    2.46 GB (CMD + S)
    281.1 MB (FILE > SAVE AS)

    This is just a few examples and there was no difference between the files or image quality/size changes. Just File > Save As. Whilst CMD + S just added to my file as if it was embedding all the document history.

    Hope you can help on this issue.

12. Diaporama - Speech note under pages

    I propose that tool because it can be really useful when you prepare visual of your diaporama the possibility to write your speech under your pages in same time.

    At the ending, you will be able to print a summary of your speech with markers that indicates the page number.

13. Wrong font case in TOC when using character style with upper case

    When generating table of contents it fetches the text and ignores paragraph styles, but character styles are left. This must be a misstake.

    I want TOC to be title case and chapter headings to be upper case that is set in a paragraph style. So far so good. But I am adjusting minor words (and, at, etc) with a character style. And for those words the upper case setting also shows in TOC.

14. Anchored item with white overprints

    This is a 'white' bug.

    I regularly use anchoring to keep items aligned and for spacing.
    Text is black. Art or tables need white in them to knockout the shade beneath.

    When a table is placed inline or a piece of art is anchored in a text box that has a color or a border... the white is ignored in the anchored object.

    There is no reason to ignore a color just because it is inline or anchored.

    This bug forces me to layer the object on a different layer, causing extra work in keeping the item aligned after edits.

15. Exporting to PDF with print marks increases page size

    Using CC InDesign 2019 14.0.3 on a Mojave 10.14.6 MacBookPro

    For some unknown reason, for the last 3 months or so every time I export a pdf with any print marks, the page size is increased by 4.4mm on every side of the page ... eg I set up a document as A4 (297x210mm) with a 3mm bleed, set my content and then export it with print marks I get a 4.4mm increase on each side of every page - ie the resulting document size is 311.8 x 224.8mm instead of 303 x 216mm

    This causes major issues with submitting files online for printers that use automated systems as the file is rejected as the wrong size.

    I've spoken to support and apparently this is a known issue, but PLEASE FIX IT ASAP - TIA!

16. Use of tab key is inserting unwanted numerals into line of copy instead of tab

    When working in InDesign v 14.0.3 x64 on my PC, I've encountered a new problem when trying to align text in a bulleted list using the "tab" key.

    After keying in the text in my list, I create alignment by first inserting tabs using the Type > Tabs command, and then using the "Tab" key on my keyboard to align second and third lines of text. Lately, when I move my cursor down to the second line of text and attempt to use the tab key to align the text with the tab I set in the line above, InDesign inserts the numeral "1" on the line (see attached screenshot, where I've marked the numeral with a red circle).

    No matter what I try, I cannot get it to stop inserting the numeral 1 in the line. I've even tried re-setting the tab, to no avail. I've saved the file, closed all applications, re-started my computer and attempted to update InDesign via Creative Cloud, but nothing solves the problem.

    The only option I have to align items in my bulleted list is to insert a soft break (Shift + Enter) and use the space bar to move the line of copy to the right incrementally. Unfortunately, this does not offer perfect alignment.

    Can you please help?

    3. Would expect that the cursor could be used to select all or part of an imported PDF comment
    4. In fact it is EXTREMELY difficult to get the palette to recognize that text is selected in the palette interface. The "Copy" popup does not appear a large proportion of the time, or you can't select the range of characters you need. Even though Acrobat is terrible at the same process, it is significantly faster to copy the needed range of characters from the comment in Acrobat and switch back to ID to paste.

18. I have Adobe InDesign 14.0.2 x64, and my book chapters keep showing a spinning wheel when i try to make any change

    I have Adobe InDesign 14.0.2 x64, and my book chapters keep showing a spinning wheel when i try to make any change. Say I need to add one letter, after doing so the ball has to spin 10 times until i can do anything else. This is extremely time consuming and is wasting my time when I have to wait 2 minutes after any tiny change before I can make another. I have seen others posting issues about this over a year ago. All fixes people have suggested do nothing for me. Please help.
    In reading that it could be cross references causing the issue, i opened chapters to which my current chapter refers, and i still get the spinning ball, but not for as long.

19. Font Issue In Adobe InDesign version 14.0.1

    Currently encountering an error within InDesign where certain fonts are displaying a explination mark and not working correctly. However, they appear as installed when using InDesign (please see attached)

    The current workaround is to re-link the fonts to InDesign. Is there a known fix for this issue? Windows 10, InDesign version 14.0.1
