1. Easy-Access On/Off Toggle Needed for "Use Typographer's Quotes"

   I create and edit spec sheets that use lots of "typographer's quotes" and "non-typographer's quotes" AKA "inch marks." Having "use typographer's quotes" turned OFF allows me to type an "inch mark."

   So I constantly have to open preferences to turn typographer's quotes OFF to create inch marks in my dimensions charts, then turn it back ON to use typographer's quotes in my paragraphs.

   Adding a quick-access toggle for typographer's quotes, or even including a shortcut to type the opposite kind of quotation mark would be helpful and save time.

   The Book window should be mappable to saved workspaces. I use custom workspaces and books, but the book window placement/size does not get recorded when creating a custom workspace.

   We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

   We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2021(v16.0.0.77) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.

4. Can't sort by group or type when Relinking to CC Libraries

   When relinking to CC Libraries, you have no choice but to see a list of randomly sorted (or alphabetically sorted.. who knows) assets in CC Libraries. Users should be able to sort by Type or Group like in the normal CC Libraries panel.

5. horizontal line appears in overprint preview

   when I enter overprint preview, a white thin horizontal line appears towards the top of my page. It appears in different spots on different pages. one image shows the page normally not in overprint, the other shoes in overprint with a white line towards the bottom of the photo. the line moves to different places when i go back and forth from overprint view.

7. [ CC-2019 and 2020 ] The Convert-Endnotes-To-Footnotes Disaster SCOPE: SELECTION with CONTEXT MENU

   Hi together,
   I'm using the context menu available for text selection to convert endnotes to footnotes by selecting text in the endnote text frame.

   The result is not as expected. However it is better than using the dialog in menu Type for converting endnotes to footnotes with scope selection.

   What is the issue?
   One endnote was converted but not removed.
   Two footnote text are missing the first character.
   One footnote text has a special character that should not be there.
   Style overrides were not transferred.
   Footnote references get style overrides of the character they are attached to.

8. InDesign 2020 not tagging lists properly on export to Interactive PDF

   If a paragraph style is used to define a tag for export to PDF, all numbered and bulleted lists used with that style inherit the same tag, rather than the list tag <L>, <LI>, etc.

   Before going to the issue in the title of the post, I want to specify some issue that doesn’t fix form my last report. If you see on the attachment img 02, you will see the issue about text encoding (it just only my suspicion) that happen when you just copy and paste text (specifically in Thai) form 2020 version to 2019 or to another text editor. After I had pasted text into TextEdit almost vowels and tone marks were changed into quotation marks that which made me suspicious about text encoding in that language.    I do not know that this issue has a relative to the issue in question. The white spaces. As you can see in “img 01” in attachment (and on Indesign file) on the text where I high-lighted.

   First, you can see white space play as a character in the beginning of the line, like other white spaces such as thin-space. And you also see, when applied paragraph with Adobe World Ready Composer, either single line and paragraph, spaces other than whitespace that insert form space bar play as character on the end of the line when you apply text justify. In an example I shown to you, en-space did not collapse. It stilled as a character.

   Other than that, you can see the close parenthesis was sole wrapped into the next line, even it should stayed with the last word.

   Nearly half year, after you had claimed that Indesign support Thai, I still cloud’t update into 2020 version because of all these fatal issues.

14. Extra, unwanted details appearing in paragraph styles (borders and shading)

    When I copy a paragraph style from another document, OR copy styled text, and then attempt to edit the paragraph style, elements related to paragraph borders and paragraph shading suddenly appear in the paragraph style. This happens even though paragraph borders and shading are turned OFF. I suppose it's not affecting the style, because it's not turning them on, but they style is overly cluttered and messy and is mucking up our shared group template.

    I'm working primarily in CC2018, but also replicated the problem in CC2020.

    I've tried a clean install of software, as well as deleting caches/prefs.

15. Can't share from Adobe Comp CC on the iPad (which is the whole reason I signed up for a trial)

    Sharing to InDesign causes Comp CC to Crash! The whole reason I signed up for the InDesign trial is to see how it works with Comp. Please fix or extend my trial until this has ben handled!

16. tutorial crashes when switching workspaces

    Nearing the end of the tutorial, at the interactive part. When switching workspaces in InDesign, the tutorial film closes. If you switch back to "Essentials," it re-opens. Makes it difficult to work along with the tutorial for the "interactive features" section. Thanks.

17. IND 15.0.3 - Will not load text on first opening

    Ever since last upgrade to 15.0.3, on the first opening of a file it will either not load the text, or load corrupted text. This is happening to two workers on two different MACs at two different locations within our team. Driving us crazy, having to close and open a file twice in order for it to open properly.
