InDesign steals focus in Windows 10
Whenever InDesign launches or performs a task such as PDF export, if the user switches to another application, InDesign will steal the focus back.

Arrange object after unhide
Using Adobe InDesign 15.0.1 x64 (CC 2020), after I unhid several linked image objects, I was unable to arrange those elements forward or backward to make it visible on top of other elements. The objects were not locked as I checked several times and even copying / pasting them would not allow me to rearrange them. Restarting solved the problem after I spent 20 minutes fighting with it.

Color Managment plugin (CS6)
Upon getting the new Apple update for the MacOS Mojave (version 10.14.2) Most of my programs from my Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, including, but not limited to Indesign CS6 are no longer supported, do to the Update not running anything less the 64-Bit (intel).

Placed/Imported Photos glitching, changing colors, white noise effect
File> Placed Photos glitching, changing colors, white noise effect, or turn black. Tried dragging and dropping onto artboard but pictures keep importing distorted. Reset all presets and preferences. Uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. Photos should import as is instead of glitching and most of all changing colors. This started happening after I updated InDesign beginning of this month (November 2021).

primary text frames threading is not honored on document pages
- Adobe InDesign 15.0.1 x64 (Windows 10)
- Facing pages document. I create a master page that includes two text frames per page--creating a two column spread on each page. I designate the leftmost frame as the primary text frame, and then manually link it to the frame just to its right. That frame is then linked to the leftmost frame on the right side page, and that one is linked to the frame furthest to the right. InDesign Review Feature
My coworker and I are both suddenly facing major problems with the review functionality with Adobe InDesign 16.1 (Windows). This has only been occurring for about 10 days. When the review function actually works instead of an error or just loading nonstop (only works 30% of the time now), the links often don't work in the end for other viewers to review and show up as an error. Random pdfs displaying weird text placement
Since Adobe updated my InDesign to 2021, I have been having issues with fonts showing correctly in placed pdfs. Sometimes text will be completely removed. Other times text is displayed enlarged, upside down and reversed. It is not all pdfs. Sometimes it is just one page in a pdf that displays badly. Please fix this bug. It is very annoying when I'm trying to paginate and print files for clients.

Random text appears in the filename field when editing filenames during Save As
- ID 14.0.1, OS 10.14.2
- Save as. When dialog appears, filename is highlighted so that it can be edited. Use RIght arrow key to put cursor at end of filename to append text.
- Expected result, which occurs about 90% of the time, is that the cursor moves to the end of the filename and you can enter text.
- Actual result, about 10% of the time, is that pressing the Right arrow key erases the entire filename in the field and replaces it with the words "Adobe Stock".

Tabbing through values doesn't work on certain panels
When you press tab on, say the colour palette to input values in CMYK, the tab button instead of highlighting the next field ready for your input instead often places the cursor after the value you wish to amend which is frustrating and slows my workflow down. It's done this for years to be fair.

Assert after closing InDesign CC 2019 Debug.
After clear installation Adobe InDesign CC 2019 Debug every time when I am closing application I have this Assert dialog box:
Interface kLanguageImpl changed but not marked dirty. First difference occurrs at offset 54
d:\development\siriusr14\source\omlib\session\pmpersist.cpp (1425)
I have only Skip and Debugger buttons. Skip open new dialog box (the same information).
There are no plugins. Only clear install.

We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

InDesign Documentation
I found out through Adobe support that page transitions in an interactive PDF created using InDesign only work in full screen mode. If this is true, your documentation should state this.
I also found out that the SWF function has been removed for InDesign 2020. Please update your documentation to let users know that this is no longer available in 2020, but is still available in 2019.

Custom fonts in bold/black appears thin and bold in latest versions of InDesign and Photoshop
Custom fonts in bold appears alternately as bold and thin in the latest version of InDesign (19.0.1) and Photoshop (25.1) I've tried deleting all apps and installing again, but it doesn't help. The problem only occurs in Adobe programs. Not in Word etc. It works fine, when I'm installing an older version of InDesign, fx 18.5.
The font that is used is the Google font "Outline".

PDF fails to export InDesign 14.0.1 - Still an issue
So many bugs in InDesign!!!
1) Export to PDF (any settings) works once after starting InDesign. Then fails on any attempt to re-export. Which ever preset I use - error. Nothing special about the file - nothing!
2) Also, and I know it's not about PDF, Keyboard shortcut to start a New Document does not work on startup. I have to click on file menu and open the sub menu item New – then the shortcut works :| No error – nothing! It just does not respond to shortcuts.
BTW: Posting this by clicking "Post idea" does not mean that…

'manage extensions' not in 'help' dropdown
The extensions option is not showing in the "help" menu. When I go to the Help Menu there is no "Manage Extensions" option. Please provide troubleshooting steps as I need to load a local extension into inDesign. why does my keyboard space key bring up the save or quit command in InDesign?
I have updated InDesign 2024 v.19.1. to the latest version. Mac OS 14.3.1. This Only happens in adobe indesign, I can get a space with the space bar in this very box and other applications, but NOt in my indesign document. I have to copy and paste a space to get one in my document. You can imagine how that slows my work.

Indesign CC 2018 crashes while selecting the type tool or font option from type menu
I am running Adobe InDesign CC 2018 13.0 x64. Whenever I open a new document and select the type tool, InDesign crashes. Same thing happens while clicking font option from type menu. Also, any premade INDD/INDT files aren't opening, it crashes every time. I have reinstalled several times, trashed preferences but of no use. I am running a Windows 10 version 1909 64 bit with OS built 18363.1801.

Find/Change saved queries lose numeric precision for indent values
Version:
Adobe InDesign 21.0.2
macOS 26.2
Issue also observed in much earlier versions (since CS5.5).
Steps to reproduce:
Create a document with paragraph units set to millimeters.
Create a paragraph with a left indent of exactly 5 mm.
Open Find/Change.
In Find Text, set Left Indent to 5 mm by typing it manually.
Run Find – the paragraph is found.
Save this Find/Change query.
Reload the saved query.
Run Find again.
Expected result:
The saved query should find the same paragraphs as when the value is entered manually.
Actual result:
After reloading the saved query, the paragraph is not found.…3 votes -
HSB Swatch Displays incorrectly with Color Settings OFF
On Mac, when using the setting "Emulate Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMS OFF" in Color Settings, HSB color swatches display incorrectly on the page. For example, a light pastel would display as royal blue. When using "North American Prepress 2" or "North American General Purpose 2" settings, the color is displayed correctly.
Also, the automatic names InDesign provides when using "Add Unnamed Colors" in the Swatches panel show incorrect values. See attached.
