   We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

   We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

2. Vector graphics distorted and broken - Cause unkown

   I don't know what prior action or command let to this bug but almost all my Vector graphics were suddenly distorted and broken. Some Small circles changed size and I couldn't scale in down anymore. See pictures. Exportet pdf files show the same distorted graphics.

   Adobe Indesign 2025 on a MacBook Pro 2021, Apple M1 Pro, 16 GB macOS Sonoma 14.1.2.

3. InDesign Review Feature

   My coworker and I are both suddenly facing major problems with the review functionality with Adobe InDesign 16.1 (Windows). This has only been occurring for about 10 days. When the review function actually works instead of an error or just loading nonstop (only works 30% of the time now), the links often don't work in the end for other viewers to review and show up as an error. Now, when this works, the comments from the review link are not showing up where they were placed, and when we go in to implement them manually in InDesign from the weblink, the weblink automatically updates in real time and all comments shift over.

4. Bug: Mac AppleScript change text returns replacement except last character

   Search ("find what") and replace ("change to") does not return the expected results when replacing text. It truncates the replacement by one character.

   Steps to reproduce
   1. Create a new InDesign file (see attached test.indd)
   2. Create a text box
   3. Add text in the text box including the word "test"
   4. Run the following script (see attached) test.scpt
   5. Expected the return results to be "foo" but it returns "fo"

5. Problème d'affichage des outils de révision dans In Design

   Bonjour, j'ai testé l'outil révision dans In Design avec mes collègues, mais j'ai un problème lorsque je clique sur "Aller à l'examen" pour voir les modifs en ligne, mon ordinateur (PC récent intel Core i9) ouvre par défaut le navigateur Microsoft Edge, et je ne visualise que les 2 premiers outils de révision (la pipette et l'épingle), je ne vois pas les textes surlignés, barrés ou entourés. Sur les nouveaux PC, on ne peut pas changer le navigateur par défaut. Pour visualiser les modifs, il faut que j'ouvre Firefox, que je copie le lien sécurisé produit par le logiciel In Design et que je me réidentifie sur ma suite Adobe. Comment faire remonter l'information à Adobe pour signaler ce bug d'affichage ?
   Ou y a-t-il un moyen d'afficher dans In Design les corrections (surlignage/texte barré/épingle) sans être obligé de cliquer sur chaque commentaire.

6. Packaging without fonts folder

   I use Adobe InDesign 17.0.1 versionin Windows. I had to reinstall the program because of my device is new. My problem is during packaging. I use my own font (not an Adobe font) and I have permission to use it. The font family has installed on my device, but the fonts folder is still missing from the final folder after packaging. 'Copy font' is selected during packaging.

7. Color Managment plugin (CS6)

   Upon getting the new Apple update for the MacOS Mojave (version 10.14.2) Most of my programs from my Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, including, but not limited to Indesign CS6 are no longer supported, do to the Update not running anything less the 64-Bit (intel).
   The message that comes up is in the attached file

8. Placed/Imported Photos glitching, changing colors, white noise effect

   File> Placed Photos glitching, changing colors, white noise effect, or turn black. Tried dragging and dropping onto artboard but pictures keep importing distorted. Reset all presets and preferences. Uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. Photos should import as is instead of glitching and most of all changing colors. This started happening after I updated InDesign beginning of this month (November 2021).

9. InDesign 16.0.2 still does not allow making new folder under SaveAs dialog and Cmd+P also does not work

   Updated version of InDesign (16.0. and 16.0.2) does not allow making new folder when using Save As or Open dialog on MacOS Mojave. Also you can not use Cmd+P shortcut in the same dialog - this is very helpful shortcut that opens current folder in Finder. Adobe WHY are you bringing new bugs all the time for things that worked just great :(

10. 'File is damaged' message appears when opening files

    I have the latest version (20.2), the computer is a new M2 max, and these are all files I have created myself. They are stored locally. I have tried exporting as IDML and resaving, but the proble keeps coming back.
    Is InDesign really corrupting my files or is this a false message which can be ignored?
    Prompt investigation of this would be apreciated please Adobe.

12. endnote

    There appears to be a bug in the endnote linking when exported to PDF from InDesign. I'm running InDesign 13.0.1 x64 (Windows).

    When I export an InDesign document as a PDF, endnote linking (from the reference to the text and v.v.) is incorrect.

    Please see https://forums.adobe.com/message/10048963 for the full discussion. In short:

    Create a document with multiple sections (e.g. 1st section with 9 pages, 2nd section with 125 pages). Endnotes in second section will link nine pages too early (e.g., if you have an endnote on page 122, clicking on the endnote in the PDF will link to page 113.

13. Printing to PDF: transparent images on a black background create two different blacks.

    Export function doesn't tend to create this problem, but I have to use the Print Booklet function to get page layout and everything else correct.

    I understand the difference between Rich Black and Accurate Black, but changing the settings for what InDesign will export seems to have no effect. have tried about 6 different solutions but none of them seem to work, short of me jumping through obscene hoops to cheat it. FIX YOUR CRAP ADOBE.

    UPDATE: The website doesn't allow me to upload jpegs, so Adobe if you're reading this, I hate you. That is actually the final straw. Took the time out of my day to file a complaint that I know won't ever be solved, and I can't handle any more hurdles. I'm not purchasing my suite again after this payment cycle ends. Best.

14. InDesign '23 interface is not dual-monitor friendly! I am running macOS Monterey 12.4 on a MacBook M1 Pro.

    Please update Adobe InDesign to be a more self-contained, movable workspace instead of anchoring the app to a single monitor (namely, my small laptop monitor). I am able to move tool windows and a file window over to my larger screen, but everything opens back on my laptop screen and I have to adjust all over again, unlike with Illustrator or Photoshop. It also maintains a dark gray 'background' over my laptop screen so it's VERY difficult to multitask. I noticed that this became an issue with a recent update PRIOR to the release of InDesign 2023. 15. PDF fails to export InDesign 14.0.1 - Still an issue

    So many bugs in InDesign!!!

    1) Export to PDF (any settings) works once after starting InDesign. Then fails on any attempt to re-export. Which ever preset I use - error. Nothing special about the file - nothing!

    2) Also, and I know it's not about PDF, Keyboard shortcut to start a New Document does not work on startup. I have to click on file menu and open the sub menu item New – then the shortcut works :| No error – nothing! It just does not respond to shortcuts.

    BTW: Posting this by clicking "Post idea" does not mean that this is an idea - it is an ongoing irritation about updates from Adobe that does not work and #%&$%#..-up my work!

    So many bugs in InDesign!!!

16. Preferences: Type: Use of Typographer’s Quote reset to off

    1. Adobe InDesign 14.0.3
    2. Create or open a document with Use of Typographer’s Quote checkbox ticked. Copy/Paste text from a document (Word, TextEdit) into the InDesign document. Note that the resetting of the Preferences doesn't happen all the time, only sometimes and I haven't been able to narrow it down to a certain context.
    3. The pasted text should use Typographer’s Quote according to the Preferences.
    4. The quotes from that pasted text use straight quotes instead, and when opening the Preferences, the checkbox is now unticked.

    Note: I've encountered this bug in previous versions of InDesign from CS5 up to the current version I'm using (14.x).

17. PDF Not updating on export

    Adobe InDesign 21.2
    I've been noticing when I export a pdf and override my last version that the changes do not update the new pdf version. I have to change the file name completely. I even deleted the file, re-exported, with the same name and it pulls the old PDF up!
    I've used this process for awhile and it's suddenly not working.

18. print dialog offset greyed out

    The offset, gap and transverse options in the Setup section of the Print Dialog are not greyed out and so available. I tried various document presents, print presets and printers - and no matter what settings are selected these features remain greyed out. I cannot find in help pages or anywhere online how to activate this feature. Please help or fix.

19. Critical PDF Export Issue - InDesign 17.4

    The font "Josefin Slab Thin" is "active", while it simultaneously errors that it can't find it, and continues trying to download the font in the background. I tried exporting the file on 2 different Adobe accounts and had the same issue with this font. Upon attempting to uninstall InDesign through the CC app, the "uninstall" button 'clicks' but does nothing. No loading button or anything.

    Version of InDesign 2020
    Mac, OS Catalina 10.15.2

    Palettes disappear after shutting and opening new documents

    Every time I open or shut a document, my palettes disappear. Then i have to open and reposition them over and over. This is maddening! I used to work in Adobe CS5 for the longest time and that never gave me an issue. Now that I've updated everything, InDesign is sooo slow, and shuts down all my palettes. I hate this.
    Would like to see an Indesign update that fixes the palette issue and the slowness of InDesign. Also I would like to see a mobile version of Indesign so i can work on the go.
