Crash when exporting to pdf - WHEN IS THIS GETTING FIXED
>>So I've had this issue now for over five years and still nothing has been fixed despite me sinking thousands of pounds in subscription fees to this steaming pile of an app. We do lots of presentations that have other indesign files as links and we are constantly getting crashes when we export to pdf - I've been on with adobe with this and they insist it's corrupt files that cause this, yet when I proved to them that it wasn't they just stopped replying to them - great customer service. The crash can simply happen when adding

Dragging the mouse to select text randomly moves the entire sheet
>>>When dragging the mouse to select text in a text box it would sometimes move the entire page and pasteboard to the left or right when reaching the text box frame. This is a very old, extremely annoying behavior. It exists at least since CS4.

>>I don't have caps lock or a stuck control / alt key ... Everything else is working fine.

InDesign CC2019 - faux bold text issue when exporting pdf.
>>Only the pages with text+jpg are exported properly.
>
> The pages with any other image type with some transparency, i.e. psd, ai, even png, have bold text after exporting to pdf.>It's an old issue, coming back every now and then in many InDesign editions in the past. So we all should know how to deal with it, shouldn't we? Well, here is the rub. The trick with the text placed on a separate layer on the top doesn't work anymore. Nothing works, actually. It's a major bug. A reason to downgrade to the last correct version. I

Paste in place behaves erratically for Word document import
>>I have a layout created from Placing a Word document with some vector graphics frames (originally pasted from Excel as a WMF) and text/table frames. These graphics need to be replaced with updated versions each month.
>>If I Place a new Word file into a temporary document then try to copy and paste new graphics one-by-one into the older version of the document, it looks like the graphics are updated if I stay on "medium quality" display setting. However if I change to "high quality", the graphics revert to previous versions.

Bug with world ready composer when use space like thin en or em space in Thai language. And bug in text wrapping in 2020 version.
>>After updated to 2020 version that added support to Asian languages (include Thai), it look like Indesign force user (in my case Thai) to set language in Advanced Character Formats to Thai. After set the language Indesign also require me to use World-Ready Composer to set all tone marks in place.
…
> .
> Before the latest version, I always avoid to use World-Ready Composer because it combines a word to single object, not just locks tone mark and float vowel to character in the right position. By which it impossible to navigate with text tool to the position6 votesThe fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – that is, InDesign 15.0.2.
Please update your InDesign application to get this fix.

IOS picking up URL in plain Text
>>>Creating a QR using the "Plain Text" option, to generate a note when scanned. There are a few URL's within the plain text. Android phones are picking up the QR code as intended, opening a note on their phone. However, iPhones are picking up the first URL in the plain text, despite it being 1/3 of the way down the text. It doesn't matter what the URL is. Third party cameras and Android cameras work fine, iOS cameras don't.

Unable to select multiple objects
>>>Yesterday InDesign 21.0 was forced upon me and it is nothing but issues.
>
> This very annoying issue is that I can't select multiple objects. I click one, I hold shift to select another one - and it deselects the first one. I have tried every possible combination of keys, and multiple restarts. I can only select multiple objects by dragging across them, which does not work for all layouts, or by using CMD-A.1 voteHi,
As confirmed by the user, the issue is resolved with the latest InDesign 2026(v21.0.0.192).

Changing Font Family on Bullet Options causes my computer to immediately crash and logout?
>>>In the "Bullets and Numbering" section of the Paragraph Style Options, when I try to open the dropdown for Font Family, it seems to crash, and my computer acts like it logged out.

Crash on save, all work lost
>>>Version 16.0.1 x64
>
> Working on an existing document. Nothing out the the norm. Just basic single-user InDesign. Upon save, it said the "document needed to be repaired and some unsaved changes might be lost". Well it lost everything and I lost 2 hours of work. I think InDesign is becoming like the old Quark XPress where you had to hit Ctrl-S like a rabid monkey to save your work from loss.>The other thing is lately InDesign crashes on startup.
