Hiding and showing conditional text changes the applied paragraph style

InDesign CC2020 on Windows

In certain situations, hiding and then showing conditional text changes the applied paragraph style.

    It rather looks like if there are several styles at once applied to the same line of text (that's why the +). If you simply select one letter of the "Big" text, will it remain "Big" style?
    I use conditional text a lot and don't have this problem. Well, I still use the 2019 version.
