Stop screwing with my workspace settings
How about app settings like Preferences and Workspace Settings live in the CC profile and it just lives in the cloud? Because you guys can't seem to do the "Retain current settings" thing ever, you have the option and the option never works. Not ONCE, ever.
NOBODY WANTS THE ESSENTIALS WORKSPACE.

Spell Check Defaulting to Check Document. Needs to Default to Current Story
Spell Check in Indesign is defaulting to checking the entire document. I need it to check the story. Or, at the very least, allow me the option of telling it to default to checking the current story.

placed indesign shows all layers in file
It will show all the layers in the placed InDesign file despite the fact on import the option to use document layers visibility is selected. You have to manually select which layers you want visible on import.

InDesign 2022 (17.1) quick keys not working
I recently updated to 2022 and now the cmd, option, shift keys no longer work for moving/dragging/resizing with constraints, etc. This is pretty major functionality.

broken links from placed .docx file
When I place a .docx file into InDesign, any link that contains an anchor tag (like this-- .pdf#page=543) is removed. This happens even when I check to "Preserve Styles and Formatting..." from the import options popup.
Not only that, the linked text still shows hyperlink formatting, but when I highlight it to recreate the link, the "create new hyperlink" button in the hyperlink panel remains grayed out (removing the hyperlink style has no effect on this--I have to delete and then retype the text before it can be linked).

Inaccessible URL Link in preflight panel
Inaccessible URL link option in Preflight panel is not working after implementing Adobe CC version. It was working in CS5 but in all CC version still CC 2019 is not working.
For Digital purpose we need this option. I attached screen shot for your reference
In the attached screen shot there is one dead link it shows red color in Hyperlink window, but the indesign preflight panel shows No Error. If its working properly mean it need to be show error

InDesign 2025 Crashing Constantly
Indesign 2025 has been crashing consistently since I updated it. The main trigger seems to be when you Option-drag any element. Text, image, shape. It immediately crashes. Any designer knows option-drag is a standard move for design work. This is very problematic. I have restarted, reinstalled, updated OS but still the same thing happens. Sometimes it now crashes when you PDF anything. Update has some serious glitches. Needs fixing asap.

Adjusting dashes and gaps on path moves dashes off path
Opened a PDF of a line chart in Illustrator, copied/pasted into InDesign CC 13.0.1, then noticed the dashes of stroked paths didn't follow the path accurately in some places. On setting the "Corners" control to "None" those path's dashes snapped precisely to the path, but selecting any of the three Corners settings made the dashes move off the path the same amount. See attached PDF for before/after images.

Can't edit page elements when updated from 2024 to 2026 versions of inDesign
My book that is roughly 200+ pages was created in 2023 and was editable in all versions until I got to 2026. My computer's processing power is not in question, but I can no longer edit elements that were created on previous versions. If I make new pics, text blocks, or anything, those are editable, but nothing else. If I try and revert the file, it warns me that I may LOSE my material if trying to go back.. This is unacceptable. spell check dialogue box is too small for indic languages
Spell check dialogue box is too small specially for indic languages. Very hard to read correct text. Any option to increase font size for indic languages. it's even for contextual menu.

Package command, distorted vector graphics in pdf
Indesign 14.0.1. MacOS 10.14.4.
Using Package command with Include Pdf option outputs linked .AI vector logo low resolution / distorted. No error messages.
No problems with normal pdf export with same Pdf Preset.2 votes -

It's a very high problem for me and my clients, please help us fast.

PDF Export do not provide the option that people have to use braille devices can read it :(
The Option to create a document for People who use a braille device is vanished. Huge Issue as the information letter is also beeing read from blind people (school with blind childs and teachers in vienna). The provides me with the update that they cant read it any more. Issue starts with InDesign CC 14.0.1 PC Version.

New / Edit Table Style Crash
Creating a new table style using the hold-option-key + click page icon method and/or editing an existing table style in the palette crashes indesign instantly.

We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

Table Fault
Please, please, resolve this.
- Indesign version 18 (2023)
- Issue: Create a two column text frame, or as many you want, and fill with text. For illustration purposes, create a table in the middle of the text frame. Span the table across both columns. Exaggerate the table spacing, to 25 pts before and after.

Disable the download video link in Publish Online
When viewing video on Publish Online, there's an option to download the video. It would be nice to be able to turn that off when uploading in the same way that the sharing can be turned off.

roman punctuation
It would be great if InDesign had a Roman punctuation (hanging punctuation) option similar to Illustrator, where it was set with a toggle. The optical alignment in Story is useful; however, the Illustrator implementation of hanging punctuation is useful in many situations, too.

19.2 Arabic version, missing periods in exported PDF
In an exported pdf, periods (or other ending characters) at the end of paragraphs are missing, if the paragraphs were aligned right or justified in the original English version.

Converting 2018 to 2017
Most times when trying to open indd 2018 files from indd 2017, it gives the option to convert. Then says unable to convert because I'm not signed in when in fact...I am.
