Bug Copy&past onto Indesign CC 2019
The copy-paste function from another software (Adobe acrobat, word, pages, etc.) to Indesign CC 2019 14.0.1 does not work under mac os 10.12.6. This works very well on the Indesign cc 2018 version. I restart the application with CMD + ALT + CTRL + shift to restore the preferences, but the bug persists. Can you help me ?. Sorry for the quality of my English, I'm French. Thank you

ALT key results in stall
Pressing the ALT key - be that for zooming out, using a fitting option, or any other shortcut, slows indesign to the point of non-performance, sometimes for 20 seconds or more. Happens primarily when I'm in a document with more pages/items. Have uninstalled all adobe programs and reinstalled, hasn't fixed.

Index sorting does not care about language setting
- InDesign 14.0.1 x64
- Create a document.
Add an index reference for the word "Skrå".
Add an index reference for the word "Skrivare".
Add an index reference for the word "Överleva".
Add an index reference for the word "Ondska".Go to index Sort Settings. Select Header Type Finnish/Swedish for the Roman script.
Generate an index.
Observe:
Ondska is placed under O.
Överleva is placed under Ö. Which is at the end of the alphabet. This is as it should be, here in Sweden-land.However:
Skrivare is placed below Skrå. Despite å being placed last in the swedish alphabet. We have "å,…5 votes -
Paste in place behaves erratically for Word document import
I have a layout created from Placing a Word document with some vector graphics frames (originally pasted from Excel as a WMF) and text/table frames. These graphics need to be replaced with updated versions each month.
If I Place a new Word file into a temporary document then try to copy and paste new graphics one-by-one into the older version of the document, it looks like the graphics are updated if I stay on "medium quality" display setting. However if I change to "high quality", the graphics revert to previous versions.

welcome screen won't load
Welcome screen won't load. It just seems to hang up and I never see my recent files. I can still use InDesign as usual, but this new bug is frustrating.

Lag in InDesign 14.0.1 when doing ANYTHING.
Lag in InDesign 14.0.1 when doing ANYTHING. Every time I click my mouse, make a move, do a single thing there is a 20-40 second LAG. This is beyond annoying. I am on a very tight deadline just like 99% of your other users. YOU NEED TO FIGURE THIS OUT ADOBE!!!!! And don't you dare tell me it's been figured out. I'm starting a new post per your request on March 26, 2019. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Split window re-scrolls after returning from other app and changing other window
I am running Adobe InDesign CC 14.0.1.x64 on Windows 7 with latest updates (i.e., the most popular platform in the world).
- Open the document (see attached).
- Split the window (Window > Arrange > Split Window).
- Scroll the left window to show page 2, with the Table of Contents.
- Scroll the right window to show e.g. page 3, with the cursor in the middle of the page.
- With the Type tool active, click the Enter key.
- InDesign correctly inserts a new paragraph, with the left window remaining unchanged.
- Alt-Tab out of InDesign.
- Alt-Tab back into InDesign. The Type tool should still…
2 votesWe have released InDesign CC2019.0.2 with lot of bug fixes. If you are not on 14.0.2.324 then I would recommend you to upgrade to latest version as it is more robust.

SVG Font Designation Not Shown in Find Font
If a font is an SVG font, InDesign shows the square box "SVG" designation in the font dropdown. However, if you view the font info under Find Font (Type>Find Font), the font type does not show as SVG. There is no way to determine if an SVG font was used in the file other than to view in the font dropdown. That is a problem as SVG fonts are not supported in PDF yet and will not be caught by preflight. Can the SVG designation be added to the Find Font info screen?

url's not active when publish online feature used

MacOS 10.14.4I'm having a problem with the publish online feature. I have a 94 page directory that I published online back in January, which worked perfectly, all url's active and clickable. Today I have updated the print version of the job and created the new interactive version ready to publish online. However, when I 'Publish Online' from indesign and view the document, non of the url's appear to be active and clickable. Crash when working with book TOC
I have a book with 10 chapters. I created a TOC earlier and left it for a few months while working on the chapters. When I try to update the TOC, the program crashes. I've tried the create new TOC files. Same result.

Loading icon animation
The spinning icon dots are off-centred and rotate awkwardly. It's only visible briefly, but looks clumsy in a premium app.

scrubby zoom will not turn off
Scrubby/Animated zoom suddenly appeared when I opened Indesign today and I cannot not turn off. The option is no longer in the Preferences (I searched all categories). I have installed no updates recently.

Weight remains on text when exported to pdf even if changed to zero.
I am using InDesign CC 2019 14.01 x64.
Once a stroke weight has been added, if you then change the stroke weight back to zero, then when you export to pdf the pdf will have a stroke weight added to the text, even though the indesign document looks correct. It may not have the original amount of weight that was added, but it will definitely have what looks to be around a .2 weight added.

what have you done to the pasteboard??
why do I have to jump through hoops to see objects off my pages? I routinely put things there I might need and now I have to rework my layouts too see the pasteboard.IF I DON'T WANT TO SEE THE PASTEBOARD, I HAVE PRESENTATION VIEW.
stop with the needless changes and do some real improvements,ents, like allowing me to select various points (from different strokes) and align them without moving all the strokes.

InDesign makes incorrect QR code words and we can't decode QR codes correctly.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Object->Make QR Code...
2. Input strings "問題は日本語を正常に扱えるかどうか。".

Sometimes, we got the wrong code in Japanese locale.Any Workarounds:

This was coded into the InDesign try and get "image1.png".

Slow start opening files or switching between apps
The last Indesign version 14.0.1. on my iMacPro 3,2 GHz Intel Xeon W (Radeon Pro Vega 56) running Mojave (10.14.3) shows the rainbow wheel on every startup and on every time switching apps (via command + tab) takes about 30 seconds - impossible to work!

We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

Since the last update Indesign export to pdf in all resolutions don't compact the files down. They are huge. Everything up to the last update pdfs even if high resolution would size way down. Now it is almost like it doesn't do anything. Need this fixed. It is almost like the coders for Illustrator went over to Indesign to put in their bad pdf export routine. Properties panel - linked panels opening across extended windows
Win 10 / InDesign cc2019
I have an issue where the underlined panel options don't respect the boundaries of my extended screen configuration causing the popped out palette to split across windows.
In illustrator these linked palettes always appear within the confines of a maximised application window's boundary.
P.S. I hope it is your intention to continue to develop the properties panel so that more of the options appear naturally within its space. Similar to the way the Transform, Character, Paragraph and Align sections do via the 'more options' ellipses.

When attempting to 'crop' the INDD window size from bottom rt-corner, the the document's image
When attempting to taper the (Mac) INDD window's size from bottom rt-corner, the document layout ALWAYS "runs away" from the user (to the upper left direction)… making it impossible to get the doc's layout centred within the window, first time. This is UNLIKE any other Mac application… and is a source of constant frustration!
