Shadow Effects Washing Out Image
I am using InDesign 14.0.2 on a Mac with Mojave 10.14.3.
When trying to add a drop shadow or inner shadow, the image gets washed out. I've provided screenshots that show the image with and without effects.
My supervisor also noticed this on her computer. I believe she is on High Sierra and CC2019 but I don't know if it is up-to-date on her machine.

Had similar problem. Changing the transparency blend from CMYK to RGB solved the problem for viewing.
