Right-Click to Duplicate Page Directly on the Canvas
Currently, duplicating a page in InDesign requires navigating to the Pages panel, locating the desired page, right-clicking, and selecting "Duplicate spread." This process, while functional, adds unnecessary steps—especially in documents with many pages.
Proposed Enhancement:
Enable users to right-click directly on a page in the workspace to access the "Duplicate Page" option. Why this matters:
Faster workflow: Eliminates the need to open and scroll through the Pages panel.
More intuitive: Mirrors how users interact with objects and text frames—directly on the canvas.
Reduces friction: Especially helpful for designers working on large or complex documents.

Align to page when only one item selected!
I usually have 'Align to Selection' as my default. Wouldn't it be great if when only one item is selected that the align buttons use 'Align to Page'

Page jump links
Hi! Just finished a document for a client. I had to export it to pdf and create all the page jump links in Acrobat. InDesign wouldn't let me keep the links I created when exporting to pdf. Hyperlinks, yes they work great. Page jump links for documents? We NEED this for client brochures, flipping books etc. I will be giving this artwork to the InHouse team so it's very clunky to have to give them the Packaged InDesign file and a pdf that contains all the selected areas that link to page jumps. I beg of you please for the…

Data merge: Classification Master pages
Translation google: It should be possible to assign a sample page for each data record via the data table. Similar to QR code and images, the column is given a special character in which the name of the sample page is written.
After the data merging, each data record then has the corresponding master page.14 votes -
Grid Page View
An option to view the pages within a single document in a grid layout, rather than just one continuous column of pages one below the other. It would be a valuable tool for designers that wish to view a lot of their pages at once, rather than having to continuously scroll up & down the many pages of an InDesign document.

"Go back to a specific page"
"Go back to a specific page" - meaning if I have text links in the file and move from page 10 to page 110, give me an easy way to return to where I came from. In this case, page 10. Like a back button navigating through webpages.

More relevant Share for Review page title
I've recently started using the Share for Review feature which is great, however when sharing the link on Skype (as well as other messaging platforms I'd assume), it shows the link title as “Your Work | Adobe Creative Cloud” which isn’t very accurate or helpful to whoever I’m sharing the review page with.
It would be ideal if the HTML title of the review page could contain the title I input when I set up the review page, so that the link preview is much more relevant for someone you might be sharing it with.

Make an option for "freezing" document window during searches
Currently, when executing a series of finds, a document with spreads will jump around within a window, even if view is set to "fit spread in window," as described in this post:
The expected behavior is that the page where the text is found should be centered on the page. That does not work with spreads. If panels are open on the side of the window, found text can frequently be hidden from view.
So I believe there is a bug with the expected behavior. But it would be even better than the expected behavior…

Make it easier to find the option for 4-page spreads.
The User Guide needs to include information about creating 4-page spreads. For book editing, seeing 8 pages at a time is great (on a larger monitor screen, which as a book publisher I use.). The Page function allows a 4-page spread, or more, when the user disables the Shuffle setting and drags and connects 4 pages together horizontally in the page view. Fine. I found this out on some non-Adobe graphic design forum by luck. This wasn't anywhere in the Adobe InDesign help or user information that I could find. Include this in the User…

Non-Linear History and Undos - By page
Much like paste, paste into, paste in place, undos should be able to have some added features. Photoshop has non-linear history, which feels confusing to undo a brush from 10 steps ago. However, InDesign would greatly benefit from current page specific history, undos, searching, text, edits etc.
An example, my workflow for placing graphics and prepping captions in a document, is to do one task at a time page by page. I also use transform again individually to apply things like rotation to existing graphics, or frame fitting if I'm placing a graphic somewhere. When placing a…

Save Page(s) as File(s)
I prepare files for a team of 5 designers at my local university. In order for the designers to work on the project they need each page as a separate .indd file. As it would make my life easier and sounds like I don't want to do my job it would increase my workflow immensely.

View Verso/Recto Page as Transparent Overlay
Include within View > Extras an option to turn on a transparent and mirrored overlay of the other side of a given page in a book. Allow for customization of transparency and color. Provides a quick way to check the baseline grid is properly aligned and that there wont be conflict with elements on previous page.

An options to place InDesign files into a document as spreads
Scenario: I have a a load of menus, A3 double sided folded in half, designed in two double page spreads. Client wants wide format prints of each menu ganged up on one sheet.
It would save quite some time if I could place the menu files into another document as spreads rather single pages.

Change pasteboard / background page colour
The dark grey isn't always best!
Often a page may have a dark background which doesn't sit will on a dark pasteboard background.
An option to change this background colour even if from a limited palette would be good.

Option to strip out overloaded Mac system fonts like NOTO in font menu
Later Mac OS's install 100's of fonts that cannot be removed. They clog up the Font menus badly. It makes font selection a nightmare. Noto is but one.

Add option to center Document Grid on page (instead of aligned left)
Please add an option to center the Document Grid to the middle of the page. That is, instead of the origin of the grid being placed at the top left of the document, have an option to place the grid origin at the top center of the page. This way, extra space that "overflows" the grid is evenly distributed at the edges of the document (as a kind of default gutter), instead of the current behavior, in which the grid is aligned to the left edge of the document and any "overflow" space is only on the right…

Paste an object on exactly the same place on the page
When I copy a text frame or an image frame or other object like line and paste it on another page, now it pastes randomly, and it takes time to place it where I wanted. In half cases I need to place that object on exactly the same position where it was on the page where I copied it from.
Some of your competitors have this function and it saves a lot of time. How about to implement it in InDesign and your other software as well?

Pages Window—keep active page in center area of the window
When working on long documents, it would be extremely handy if the Pages Window kept the active page in the center of the window, so the user can see what's behind and ahead. Currently, the Pages Window keep snapping the active page to the most bottom point of the window when I tab to another reference InDesign file—that contains all of the figures, images, and tables—for copy/pasting into long file (academic book). Also, the page numbers of the last pages of the document in the Pages Window are cut off from view.

Include parent (master) page assignments in styles
When designing a book, every time I make a substantial amount of edits or add photos, it shifts all pages after it through smart reflow (which is great); HOWEVER, once the edits are done, part of my proofreading workflow is to then to manually. reassign CO master pages to chapter openings, "blank" to any blank verso pages preceding them, and Text to the pages that were shifted to the blank- and CO-assigned pages.
This happens EVERY TIME I make edits, and adds a SUBSTANTIAL amount of time to my workflow--unnecessarily, I believe.
I put this…
