Transparency/opacity settings for paragraph shading
It would be nice to have transparency/opacity settings for paragraph shading. In certain designs, it would be nice if paragraph shading worked a lot like a frame fill that you can control the transparency and blending options for the shading portion. This would be applicable to borders as well. Right now, to get the semblance of semi-transparency, you have to apply it to the whole frame, but you may just want the shading and no other elements to be affected.

Paragraph shading has been around nearly 10 years so seems overripe for this nuance

This would be great for doing something like a 20% opacity white, which would work on top of any colour rather than having to make a style for every colour at 80% of that colour to get the same effect.

Why is this not a thing yet...

Im currently working on a document that i so desperately would love this feature. The document is primarily white text with many different paragraph styles. each page however is a different color. It would be nice to use a paragraph shading of 50% grey and set the blending mode to say multiply to highlight various paragraphs. that way there would be a correlation between the highlight and the page background color. the way im faking it is to draw a box behind the text with 50% grey and multiply and adjust the size whenever there is a text update.
