Option to strip out overloaded Mac system fonts like NOTO in font menu
Later Mac OS's install 100's of fonts that cannot be removed. They clog up the Font menus badly. It makes font selection a nightmare. Noto is but one.

Agreed! Most of the Noto Sans fonts are almost unusable unless you have a specifically configured keyboard, and really are just clogging up space. My personal favorite for the most useless script in the family, is the literally undeciphered Linear A.
I just suggested a similar feature, where you could have an option to hide fonts with a button similar to the favorites button.
