Make font and alignment settings available for interactive PDF text fields

Just silly to have to use two of your products to accomplish this basic task.

One thing that I noticed is that if you go to Prepare Form in Acrobat, select ALL form elements in the menu on the right, then right-click one and change the font colour, etc, it changes ALL of them. Might not be practical if your forms are different colours, but if the majority of them are the same, this saves HEAPS of time! I only tried changing font colour, but I have a feeling you could change more if you wanted to.

To have the same functions that are available within Acrobat makes sense to me, otherwise, may as well just use Acrobat to produce the forms, as there is so much more functionality and flexibility. Will have to start calling you "Half-a-job-Indesign".....!!

Why can't I center form fields in InDesign? So annoying and completely defeats the purpose of creating this beautiful form in InDesign only to have to edit it in Adobe whenever there is ANY change made to the form.

Opening it in Acrobat Pro and changing each individual field's alignment individually is a huge inconvenience if you are working with a 4 -page form with 100 fields per page. Not really a fix. This should definitely be addressed.

I'm surprised that this hasn't been addressed yet. Native copy adjustment should be something carried over from previous editions as opposed to requesting it as a new feature.

If you first create the form in InDesign then you can open it in Adobe Acrobat Pro, go to tools>form fields, ctrl+click or right click the field you want to change, select properties from dropdown menu, then go to options and there will be an option for changing the text alignment.

InDesign is a GREAT tool, but I found the inability to align text form fields to be a huge disappointment. It's the first time I remember having to beg pardon of one of my clients for a (seemingly, anyway) obvious missing feature. I rely on InDesign to provide terrific-looking documents for my clients, and it usually doesn't let me down. This time, though, I was really surprised when I couldn't align a PDF text form for a client. I hope there will be a fix for this soon.
