Color overlay FX
Right now Indesign has almost every effect as Photoshop, except Color Overlay.
Please add the Color Overlay effect to Indesign.
Aside from the obvious benefits, this feature would make changing the color of bitmap fonts so much easier than having to recolor them in photoshop, and import them as images into indesign.

Hey Adobe can we please bump this? I previously have used inner shadow (and inner glow) but have found the following limitations:
1. When working with larger object sizes you end up with lines through the middle or edges. For example a 12x12" paper. Yes even when the sizing is maxed out in the shadow/glow settings.
2. As there is not direct, make it this colour, you need to do combinations of shadow/glow to achieve a certain colour.

Is this a technical limitation? Using Inner Shadow shouldn't have to be the solution.

Tom Britton, I can't reply to you for some reason but had to comment back to you that some heroes don't wear capes. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I tend to use Inner Shadow for InDesign. You can colour an entire image that way if you set the opacity to 100%.

This is still something very much needed.

Yes, being able to change the colour of things in indesign would be awesome

Yeah, kind of frustrating indeed. Shouldn't have to switch programs to do something so simple

Just wanted to clarify: when I said Indesign has almost every "effect" as Photoshop, I was referring to Photoshop's Layer Styles; in Indesign, they are called FX.
Also, I wanted to point out that even After Effects has Color Overlay. Strangely, of all the apps that use a form of Layer Styles, Indesign seems to be the only one missing Color Overlay. While I am not an Adobe developer, I imagine that it shouldn't be too hard to implement, since the "Inner Glow" FX is already doing something similar, albeit only along the edges.
