Please tell me how to fix this!

Capitalisation of letters b and i triggering the command prompt to bold and italicise copy
Issue being experienced on Adobe InDesign 2023 version 17.4 (and previous version), using MacOS Monterey v12.6.
When using shift + b or shift + i commands in indesign to create capital B or capital I, the command is instead acting as I would expect if I were to key in CMD + B or CMD + I in Microsoft or code - it is changing the font to 'Semibold' (shift + B) and 'Book italic' (shift + I) and not capitalising the letter.
The issue can be replicated reliably across all fonts loaded.
Please can this be investigated?

Indesign 17.2 does not support Tibetan fonts "Microsoft Himalaya"
The fonts work normally before updating. After updated to the latest version, the fonts cannot be opened in Indesign.

Text Frame Lag when Window > Control (Panel) is enabled.
When Control Panel is enabled (Window > Control), double clicking into a text frame has a lag for about a second. Turning off the Control Panel helps but this is not a solution.
I think this lag is related to loading fonts in background for the select field – doesn’t matter how much or how less fonts are installed/loaded on Mac.
As this is a long existing performance issue yet (available since 2018), could you please consider to optimize the lag for text frames within a future update, finally?

[INDD 2020 and 2021] Placed SVG InDesign ignores code dominant-baseline="hanging"
It seems that the SVG import filter ignores code:

Allow InDesign to retain local formatting when updating linked text files.
When using linked text files in InDesign, any local formatting changes made directly in InDesign (such as font size, color, bold/italic, etc.) are lost when the external text file is updated. This is a significant limitation for designers who need to maintain complex formatting in layouts. Please add an option to retain local formatting when linked text files are updated.
Suggestion:
“Preserve Local Formatting” in the Links panel or File Handling preferences.1 vote -
InDesign v19.5: Data Merge Problems with Diacritical
InDesign v19.5: Data Merge Problems with Diacritical
I wanted to use "Data Merge" again after a while, but I found that it no longer works as it did in the previous version (v18). In the old version (v18), "Data Merge" worked correctly with diacritics, but in the current version (v19.5), it does not, and it's definitely not a font issue (I’ve tried all of them). The ".csv" file is exactly the same as the one used before, and when I use the old version, everything works as it should. The problem occurs with certain characters, such as "Š", "Č" and…

interactive rollovers
The Latest version of Indesign (20.0) has some bugs with rollover buttons in the EPUB Interactivity preview.
Some rollover buttons work (buttons with basic changes made in the rollover state ie font/colour).
Some rollover buttons do not work (buttons with different images placed in each rollover state) THE ROLLOVER STATE ALWAYS SHOWS, THE NORMAL STATE NEVER SHOWS.
The 'publish online' documents work fine, this bug ONLY occurs with the EPUB interactivity preview in Indesign.

Find/Change bug in Indesign 13.1.1
Text Find/Change seems to have a bug: let's suppose we have 2 paragraph styles, for example a title style and a body text style. In the document I received from our partner sometimes the body paragraphs wear the title style and they were manually overridden to look like the body style. To fix this error I tried to search for texts that has the title style but the font used is that of the body style. Indesign Finds something at the beginning of the body paragraph (a thin cursor-like thing can be seen there: it is the selected something) that…

Deleting a table row containing text crashes InDesign
Quite simply, deleting a table row with 3 columns and a combination of text and font awesome crashes when using right click -> delete -> row.
I can replicate the issue every single time across multiple documents.
The current workaround for me is to delete all the content in the table row then deleting the row seems to be OK.Indesign: 15.0.1
Mac OS: Mojave 10.14.6 (MacBook Pro)
Note: This didn't happen on InDesign v14.0.3.Thanks,

Share for Review is showing files in low res very blurry
I'm using PSD files linked in my InDesign, they look blurry like low res even the fonts used in the PSD https://assets.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:4e60c8e1-8ba1-46f0-af66-23ef2b71ac21?view=published
Is there any option to share for review low res or high res please let us know, but I don't remember this happening to me before, they were shared always clear.

Performance GPU
Issue at hand. The latest InDesign and Illustrator have poor GPU performance. All of my fonts and graphics are "blurry" and Pixlelated. No one has called me back, and am pretty disappointed.
My case no. ADB-1524437-B1P3

text typed on path distorts when converted to outlines
Using InDesign v17.2.1, text typed on a path becomes distorted when converted to outlines. As you'll see in the attached before/after images, the converted text is mostly okay, but the last few words become almost illegibly small. The characters also become reoriented relative to the path ... some characters are vertical, others upside-down. I've tried changing fonts, creating new documents, and typing on paths of different shapes, but the problem persists. I was hoping that this problem would be addressed in the latest update, but it wasn't.

widespread issues with unicode fonts (tibetan) and footnotes
macos 10.13.6, ID 15.1.3
completely wacky behaviour of footnotes in combination with unicode tibetan fonts (dduchen, noto, babelstone tibetan). fn numbers in text do not follow formatting, in footnote reference numbers are only one digit (most of the time) and sometimes proper digits (occacionally). odd spaces before letters and words (all fonts), strange behavior with formate changes. this is as ********* as it gets.1 vote -
Urdu fonts not working in InDesign 2021
Tried various Urdu fonts in InDesign and only one seemed to work fine (Jameel Noori Nastaleeq). On others attempted, the glyphs were all over the place and it looked like some baseline shift might be required on some characters. In others something called 'missing glyph protection' kicked in and all the characters looked like they were piled on top of each other.
The same fonts worked fine in MS Word (365) so I prepared two PDF files showing the same text in 5 different URDU fonts - one prepared from Word and the other from InDesign to…

'Apply italic' Shortcut Issue
Prior to v16, Shift-Command-I applied the active font's italic to selected text. But in v16, it is applying the font's bold italic.
I see no way to affect this in the Keyboard shortcuts panel. It simply lists "Apply italic" with the correct shortcut.

Convert All Fonts to Outlines
Add "Convert All Fonts to Outlines" checkbox in PDF Export dialog
Please add a simple checkbox in the PDF Export dialog to automatically convert all text to outlines. This feature would streamline print workflows by ensuring text doesn't shift or cause issues during printing. Both CorelDraw and even Adobe Acrobat already offer this functionality, so it makes sense to include it directly in InDesign's export process. This would eliminate the need for manual text conversion or post-processing PDFs in other applications.

List Forms not working properly when exporting to interactive PDF in non latin lagunages.
I work for a translating company, the list forms items do not export as they should be when building an interactive PDF. Latin using languages are ok, but when doing forms with non latin fonts, I get the forms, full of dots instead of proper characters. I changed the font to ARIAL Unicode MS, which displays great everywhere else, except the list forms. Other Adobe fonts, wont work either. It impossible to know if the World ready Adobe composer is activated inside the form. The rest of the document is IN Adobe World Ready composer.

UI Contextual Interface
Contextual Menu
In the latest update to the application, support for contextual UI interface management has actually got worse.
I utilise a 'dual screen' like many, may designer. I find it unbelievable that Adobe continue to ignore professional reporting of your bugs and lack of real support for the program.
Indesign's lack of contextual UI management is poor, inadequate and pretty much makes using dual screen even more difficult than the last release.
Today, 31/01/2021 (Australia). I find that clicking on the type panel (which I have setup on the right monitor - displays the dropdown for the font size…
