1. Go back to old method of "space after" paragraphs

   I'm fine with the concept of allowing users to adjust the "spacing between paragraphs using same style." But the way this feature was added doesn't make sense: I think you should have left the old "space after" system the way it was, and allowed users to add the "spacing between paragraphs using same style" box as an extra option. The way you set it up (unless I'm misunderstanding something), anyone wanting to put spacing between paragraphs now has to enter data into two boxes, whether they want certain sections to have custom spacing or not. It makes the "spacing between paragraphs using same style" the default rather than an additional option. That doesn't make sense. Using "space after" is more common than using custom "spacing between paragraphs using same style."

   After selecting the option ‘Ignore’ from the drop-down, the “Space Between the Paragraphs using the same Style” works.

2. mouse lag in indesign when photoshop window open

   Experiencing terrible mouse lag in indesign, the cursor flickers constantly and it feels like the mouse is swimming through mud. Nearly enough to make the program unusable. Reinstall fixes the problem temporarily but it returns within 30mins.

   I have identified that this only happens when a photoshop window is open behind or next to the indesign window.

   We confirmed that the 60Hz version MODEL A2119 EMC 3279 works fine. The offending Apple dongle is MODEL A1621 EMC 2877 which is the obsolete model.

   Please upgrade the Apple dongle to overcome the issue.

3. Effects appearing in wrong place when exported to PDF

   My Case Number: ADB-6422050-V1R6

   I've been exporting a document which uses the bevel/emboss effect. Part of the element is outside of the frame of the document. The effect on the part of the element outside the frame is being moved into the frame when I export it into a PDF. In the screenshot, you will see that in InDesign, the yellow pad is completely yellow on the left inside the frame of the document, but the edge of the image outside the frame is white; when you view in preview mode you don't see the white. However, in the screenshot of the PDF, you will see white on the left edge of the yellow pad, which does not appear in InDesign. There's no reason for it to be in the PDF.

4. crash on create merged document

   Indesign 2018 cc on mac os 10.12.6, crash on "create merged document" in data merge menu if more than approx 100 records in data file . "export to pdf" works. We have some files that need editing after merge so need this to work. Worked before 2018 update on same files that are causing crashes now. Seems to crash at point its going from a temp file to creating the finished file after the merge has happened. Tries unsucessfully to "recover" a temp file on startup after crash. Is entirely repeatable. System and user usage together never goes above 60% in activity monitor. 2012 Imac with maxed ram and lots of empty hd space.

5. user preferences not holding

   Adobe InDesign CC 2017 - being used in a Virtual Machine (VM) - VMware Horizon Client.

   User preferences are not holding when I switch them to what I like. Yes I quite the application after setting them and then sometimes they will be the same but then sometimes when I open ID they revert back to the default settings.

6. Pdf export Doc- Blank Pages NO printing of png. Images - Latest InDesign Version

   Hi
   I believe I am not the first one to experience this terrible frustration, not being able to get a clean Pdf export doc that I send to print. One blank page is coming out of the printer instead of the one with the pics. I use Mojave 10.14.3 and the latest InDesign version. I also unchecked the PrefLight box.
   Anyone can help to sort out that issue?

7. In exported PDF, Hyperlinks jump to wrong page when their Text Anchor destination has moved to a different page due to reflow

   Hi

   In my InDesign file I have a Contents page with 10 hyperlinks to the first page of my 10 chapters. I created Text Anchor Hyperlink destinations on all 10 target pages, and then created Hyperlinks to them from the Contents page.

   The document is 180 pages long and uses a Primary Text Frame, and all the text anchors are contained within the main text flow.

   In 9 of these cases, clicking the hyperlinks in the exported PDF jumps to the correct page, but in one of them, clicking jumps to the NEXT page following the text anchor.

   However, if I test the hyperlink within the Links panel, it jumps to the correct page.

   If I jump to the destination by clicking the anchor in the Hyperlinks panel, this problematic link does jump to the correct page, but something is breaking in the export process which is causing it to jump to the wrong page when clicked in the PDF

   I realise that this happens when new pages have been inserted and removed again as part of Smart Reflow, causing the text anchor to end up on a different page to the one it was created on.

   Working in Indesign 14.0.1 on Windows 7 and viewing the PDF in Acrobat DC.

   The specified interval is ignored and it is arranged at 0 mm.

   There is no problem pressing the button of the panel.

   It is only when using shortcuts.

9. Multiple variables cause issues when creating a Table of Contents

   Version 14.02, Mac
   I have a chapter title with nested character styles. Parts of the chapter titles are used to create headers on the subsequent pages. When I try to create a table of contents that includes those headers, there are multiple page numbers coming in. (The page numbers come in twice). I can see this is a known bug since ID 2015, but thought I would mention it is still a problem.

10. InDesign Libraries don't work with gradient

    If I drag and drop an element with a color gradient to the Library and the drag itback in another document, the color of the gradient is away then and its a black and white gradient. My second document/file is a RGB-file and the other a CMYK file!

12. Publish online feature not working after deactivating renewal of creative cloud plan

    After I deactivated the renewal of my annual plan (long before the date of renewal), I experienced an issue. When I try to publish from InDesign, it says "error #315: this service is unavailable...". On the My Plans section of the website it says I should still have access to this service until my plan expires. I contacted customer support and they basically told me they can't do anything. I assume this is a bug as the website says I do have access to it, but the app wont let me use it.

14. error message about activating fonts constantly flicking up, then disappearing.

    the error message is constantly just flicking on screen and disappearing. it even pops up when using other programs in front of in design.

    could fonts just go into memory once you open a doc and there is plenty of memory left. to avoid constant font issues. indesign is always telling me fonts that are installed have gone missing, then a few seconds later they come back.

15. InDesign performance issue: Slow on documents present on server

    it's not an idea, but a problem. Indesign creates problems on the network and is very slow with server documents, as never before. The media told me to work locally, but I ask Adobe to solve the problem. Windows 10 64 bit - Intel processor 32 GB of ram.

16. Can't move anything with selection tool

    Mac OS Sierra v 10.12.6 and Indesign 2019
    Since yesterday I can't work. I can use the selection tool to move things around. I only can move things using the X and Y boxes or the arrows. It is impossible to work. Who do I have to call? There is no solution anywhere, after trying so many things. I finally installed and then installed back InDesign and nothing has changed.

17. Snapping objects is funky

    When moving or scaling objects and aligning (snapping) them to guides or objects, they don't snap to the guides or objects exactly. I regularly
    need to zoom in and visually align them correctly.

19. SRA3 format not found

    Hello everyone,
    I have the problem with printing SRA3 using InDesign.
    When you choose the format, SRA3 is not listed in there. The strange thing is, that we have multiple systems, that don't have this issue, but run on the same OS, using the same printer, driver, etc..
    In Photoshop for example, the SRA3 format is listed, but in InDesign, it is not.
    I'm not sure what could cause this problem.

20. Crash on using Align Distribute option

    Help!! I used to be able to get the page tool, highlight multiple pages across a spread in the pages palette, then set the space between pages in the toolbar and use the distribute button to get even spacing between pages. Since updating to InDesign 2019 (v14.0.1), the “use spacing” measurement field never completely shows in the info bar, and every time I hit the “distribute horizontal” button, InDesign IMMEDIATELY crashes. I am using MacOS 10.13.6. Please help, I use this feature A LOT.

    The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update 14.0.2 of InDesign 2019.
    If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
    Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.
