1. Can't edit bookmarks

   Ver. 14.0.1 - The interactive Bookmarks window doe not allow me to edit an existing bookmark. When I delete the bookmark in InDesign and then create a PDF it continues to exist in the PDF. Why am I unable to edit the bookmark?

2. Package command, distorted vector graphics in pdf

   Indesign 14.0.1. MacOS 10.14.4.

   Using Package command with Include Pdf option outputs linked .AI vector logo low resolution / distorted. No error messages.
   No problems with normal pdf export with same Pdf Preset.

3. InDesign CC 2019 crashes when placing some .docx-files with Wordsflow plugin. Worked fine with CC 2018. Had to go back to CC 2018.

5. Eyedropper doesn't pick up the correct color

   I'm trying to select a color in a pdf that was placed in an InDesign document. The eyedropper won't pick up the correct color. It's consistently choosing a color that's darker than the color I want. I have zoomed in all the way so I can click on individual pixels, but that doesn't make a difference. I'm clicking on a light gray (almost white) pixel and the eyedropper is choosing a dark gray.

   The layer with the pdf is the active layer and it is unlocked. I'm using InDesign CC 14.0.1

6. Properties Panel snaps closed inconveniently

   I must admit, I was not a huge fan of the new properties panel, as I found having the properties at the top of my workspace quick, convenient and more easily accessible. In working with typography I've encountered a few issues with the latest release of CC (working on iMac High Sierra):

   1. If I try to open the character panel, there is a lag time with the dreaded rainbow spinning wheel that either takes way to long to load and sometimes crashes the program.

   So, to get around that, I've adopted using the properties panel for type changes, which opens immediately and allows me to make the same changes I could in the character panel. However, there is one thing that is slowing my work flow and I'm wondering if there's any way around it.

   1. When I'm in the text tool and needing to make text changes repeatedly throughout a document. I need to expand either the character or paragraph panels by clicking the three dots to expand the menu. Every time I reinsert the cursor to make the same or similar changes to other text within the same document, the panel snaps shut and I'm forced to scoll down and reopen the extended panel. This is cumbersome and annoying and wastes time. Is there a work around that I'm not aware of?

7. Copying Table content from Excel to Indesign leaves the first row blank. Why?

   Hello,

   InDesign has a strange behavior when copying content from an Excel Table to an InDesign table. When I mark the rows it copies the content not in the first row, instead it leaves it blank and starts with the second one. So all the content moves one row lower than I want.

   This is a very annoying behavior which makes working with tables really difficult and uncomfortable. Can you please fix this?

8. find font

   Find Font isn't working for certain fonts. See the attached gif. I'm trying to change a passage of text set it Calibri (which I don't have installed) but when I open Find Font, Calibri isn't listed there so I'm unable to swap it out

9. stuck on type tool

   I'm stuck on the Type tool. It won't let me select or change my tools at all. I've had to shut down and restart three times now. Whenever I get into the type tool, it stays and I can't get out or click anywhere else. Keyboard shortcuts do not work

   We had launched our investigation into the matter to get to the root cause of the problem. As the part of our investigation, we had reached out to many of you personally over email.
   We have concluded our investigation and have come up with few findings.

   1. For many of the users the issue got fixed after updating InDesign to a newer version.
   2. For few, the issue was intermittent and is no longer reproducible.
   4. For majority of the users, the underlying cause of the performance issue was identified to be related to switching between tools, or other lags

10. Master pages can't be applied/loaded

    Whenever I try to load/apply new master pages to a document, InDesign crashes. I have already rebootet and the same problem still appears. Also tried it on a coworkers computer and the problem is still there.

11. Short Cut Keys no longer work in Indesign 2019

    Indesign 2019
    Most of the old standard short cut keys no longer work and I cannot find anywhere what the new ones are or if I can change to a legacy mode. I'm talking basic old school short cuts like "space" to bring up the hand tool temporarily and the "shift" key to proportionately scale an object. Can anyone help me out with this as my productivity is grinding to a halt and I am not happy one bit.

12. Saved PDF export profiles change their settings without warning

    I have saved pdf profiles that arbitrarily change some of their settings without warning. Specifically, the profile inclusion policy changes from "include all RGB and tagged source profiles" to "include all profiles", and marks change from only crops and bleeds being checked, to also include page information. I go back and edit the profile to fix them back the way I need them, then some time down the road they change again. This happens on all of our workstations, and has been happening for years. If we don't catch it when these arbitrarily change, it can cause major color and imposition issues.

    Indesign 14.01 and all earlier versions
    Need to export files of various color makeups, profiles, etc. to eventually get it to happen. It may happen several times in one day, or not for weeks. VERY arbitrary.

14. reference point

    Reference Point moves on objects when one object on page is rotated. Indesign 2019 (14.0.1) If one (or more) objects on a page is rotated, then the reference point on other objects on the page changes as you select through the different objects. This applies to text, picture, and tint boxes. If you try and make the reference point the same on all objects on a page, say the upper left point, then select other objects, they have changed to a different reference point. This makes it very difficult to align objects from page to page.

    'Change' button is greyed out when attempting to find and replace text. I'm using ID 11.0.0.72 x64 build on Windows 10. This is a very old issue.

16. Publish Online RTL (Right-to-Left) support

    InDesign CC has a very good rtl support but when i publish online a document with binding from right to left it works in Print but not in publish online. Publish online always leads to left to rightsliding. Is this a bug or do i miss something? Thank you

    In InDesign ist es zum Teil nicht mehr möglich, Textfelder so zu skalieren, dass sich Zeilenumbrüche etc. verändern. Das ist ein übler Fehler!!!

18. Not able to create new guides

    I am seeing many issues with the new updated InDesign - it seems a lot of the issues are solved if you have no browsers open. But let's be honest that is ridiculous! First I was not able to scale items proportionately while holding down the shift key. Now I can't create new guides, however the minute I close out all my browsers this functionality begins to work.

    Please fix the many conflicts between INDD and the web browsers. I am on a MacBook Pro using High Sierra. The conflicts appear when either Chrome or FireFox are open. I need to be able to use my CC programs along with my browsers at the same time - hope these issues can be resolved quickly.

19. InDesign 2019 scrubby zoom no longer works (command + space + click)

    Prior to InDesign 2019, you can press command + spacebar + click to be able to activate the scrubby zoom feature.

    Now when you press command + spacebar + click you just draw a box that once you unclick, it zooms to that space... Very undesirable..

    Did a preference change on the update somewhere that I don't know about? Because I can not find this feature in the Preferences now.

    Please advise.

    The feature you are talking about is called ‘Animated Zoom’ (it’s Mac only feature).
    It is turned ON by default on Mac machines having a GPU card with a compatible monitor attached.
    Check the Document Name in its tab – does it say ‘GPU Preview’? If not, press Shift+E to switch to this mode.
    Also, check under Preferences > GPU Performance and see if ‘Animated Zoom’ is checked ON. It should be enabled for this feature to work.

20. Footnotes flows on the following page even if there is still space on the page where is the reference number

    unfortunately it happens very often that the text of the footnotes flows on the following page even if there is still space (several lines) on the page where is the footnote’s reference number.
    for this bug, the result of many jobs is very bad

    Since you are using a Single-Column Text Frame, please see if unchecking the option “Span Footnotes Across Columns” in the Layout tab of Footnote Options dialog helps you overcome this issue.
