1. Interactive button - Page destination - Acrobat

   In the menu 'Objects > Interactive objects > Convert to button' one get a panel with some options with mouse over effect and macros (what the button should execute after the use interact with it). So if you choose page destination 'Go to page' and then export to PDF (interactive) you get a warning error message, that the button will be visable in Acrobat, but the 'Go to page' commande will not work.

   This seems like an essential feature when dealing with interactivity.
   Please make it work directly within InDesign! It would be so much smoother than the workaround to make Acrobat native links afterwards. Would be a time saver!

2. Same color management in all adobe product

   This will be a great feature for simplicity and collaborative work.

   Actually, each program have a different system for choose color, and I'm sure you can improve that with give the same logical and features in all program.
   Import photoshop palet in Indesign or Illustrator and vice versa...
   Add the Color them Tool in photoshop and Illustrator...and maybe why not in After Effect and Premiere...
   Sure you can do something great and identical in all your great products, even if you have not need CMJN/Pantone etc.. colors in video projects.

3. nest pages

   The pages panel is the most ridiculously cumbersome thing in the world!

   I make digital planners and regularly work with documents that are over 2k pages long- there is SO MUCH SCROLLING OH MY GOD
   Please make pages nestable where we can group them together and expand or hide as necessary like photoshop layers folders.
   if designers are working on a book there's absolutely no need to see the entire book all the time - being able to work chapter by chapter is so much easier to manage than scrolling for a month!

   Also the scrolling in the pages panel is equally cumbersome it either crawls or shoots down 100 pages.

   If you can do this with photoshop layers I don't see why this very sensible convenient workflow can't be applied to indesign.

4. Cmd K should create a Hyperlink

   I find myself constantly hitting Cmd + K when trying to add a hyperlink in InDesign and always going "GAH!" because that keystroke opens the preferences panel.

   With InDesign trying to be competitive in the online publishing department, I recommend using the same keystroke most other programs use (Google, Word). Even if it's not the same quick command, hyperlinks should be easy to add.

5. Multiple strokes like Illustrator has

   InDesign should have the ability to have more than one stroke on an object the way that Illustrator does. I've wanted this multiple times and now it's come up again with a design that uses a filled frame behind a headline and also a stroke inside the bounding box of the filled frame. To make this design efficient in production, the ideal is for this to be one object with the type in the center, the stroke a controlled distance away and another stroke that is the same color as the fill outside the first stroke. See attached screen shot. Combine this object with the Auto Size feature for a text frame, and you have an object that can be quickly repurposed with different text while automatically maintaining the proper distances between type and first stroke and between the stroke and the outside of the frame. Currently it has to be two objects and if the type needs more that one line, the height of the background frame has to be adjusted manually.

   In Illustrator you use the Appearance panel to keep adding strokes and change characteristics. In this design it's super easy to align the first stroke to the inside and the second stroke to the outside.

   Another solution is to add a characteristic to stroke alignment: align to inside with an offset or in this case you'd call it an inset.

7. Drag and drop Parent Pages onto pages or pasteboard

   Allow users to drag and drop parent pages onto actual pages (not in the pages panel) or pasteboard.
   Dragging master pages onto pages would apply it to the page.
   Dragging onto the pasteboard would apply it to the spread.

9. Automatic Photo Collage Creation Tool

   I would like Adobe InDesign to include a feature that allows users to automatically create a photo collage. The process would involve the user drawing a content box on the page or layout, defining the area where the collage should be placed. 10. Quick image adjustments in InDesign

    Sometimes when creating a document I need to ever so slightly brighten the image or adjust the contrast, maybe increase the saturation; and standard workflow means pulling these up in Photoshop and applying the changes and the saving (often as a new file so as to preserve the original).

    This always seems like alot of effort for something that I feel could be done on InDesigns side.

    I am suggesting image quick adjustments.

    So an image is coming out slightly too dark. No worries, right click, apply quick adjustments. A new tool box will open that will have basic image adjustments (brightness, contrast, saturation etc) all on sliders that one can apply to the selected image. These changes are then applied to the image non-destructively and can be edited or removed at any time.

    The changes made should be able to be saved as object styles.

    I feel this will increase work flow in a lot of design situations, be very user friendly so wont be any learning curve and keep InDesign ahead of the competition.

11. Book :: Tell when someone else has a chapter file open on OneDrive

    I know that if you store the INDB file and the INDD files on your server, InDesign allows multiple people to open the same INDB file simultaneously. In that case, the Book panel has a rudimentary feature that will tell you when someone else has one of the chapter files open. Can we add this functionality for people that work off OneDrive Locations? With every one working remotely we can't be VPN'd into servers due to file lag.

13. Please, please, please increase the overall stability of InDesign.

    I’ve lost count of the number of times functionality has gone missing (ie: unable to proportionally scale using key commands and my mouse, sliding elements vertically or horizontally without changing either their “x” or “y” coordinate (respectively), etc.

    I would suggest (and I am absolutely serious about this) that Adobe take 3 months off from issuing any updates to the product and have all your techs, engineers and coders work out as many functionality issues a possible to improve the stability of the product. Don’t get me wrong, it is a fabulous product (and you have no real competition except maybe Sketch?) so taking that time to improve what exists will not impact the bottom line. In fact, a more stable product can only IMPROVE the bottom line. Imagine if every so often your car wouldn’t start, or the headlights no longer worked, or it would wander all over the road even when you held the steering wheel perfectly still! You would be outraged and automobile manufacturers would either fix the problem ASAP, or go out of business. Do the right thing. Fix what is excellent (but flawed) tool. And the excuse that every user’s machine is different, and that you don’t know what other programs they are running or what conflicts or corruptions might be caused by those programs shouldn’t hold water after decades of development. And given the Creative Suite subscription prices users are paying, I think we are due some real improvements in stability.

    For the record, I’m running a fairly new (since July of 2017) iMac, 27in machine, running High Sierra, v.10.31.1 and using the Adobe Creative Suite, 2018.

    And have been using the Adobe products for years now, so don’t mean to sound like a crank. Simply want to make my day go a little bit smoother and be more efficient. Having a gazillion tools and features means nothing if even the most basic (and most often used) tool goes awry. Thanks for taking the time to read.

15. Miro/Keynote-style simplified pen tool and magnetising arrows for diagrams.

    Often I have to make flow charts and diagrams for our projects, and the power of the hyper-manual pen tool and frames tends to show down the design process when compared to similar processes in Miro or Keynote. If there was a way to make a simple curved line and magnetise it to a text box that would make pushing around content 1000% faster.

17. Check Icon Effects Rapid ON/OFF

    I find this very frustrating every time.
    I would like to be able to activate/deactivate an effect by clicking on the check icon.

    • clicking on the check activates and deactivates the effect (on/off)
    • clicking on the name of the effect on the right should open the corresponding panel (as it already works now)

    Often to deactivate an effect I have to enter the panel to deactivate the check, this would be fine when I have to set the parameters but if I simply have to deactivate the effect I have to open a second panel that could be avoided.

    I hope I was clear and helpful.

18. Tool to review for performance issues

    It would be great if there was a tool similar to preflight that reviewed documents for potential performance issues and not just errors. Like if one link is massive and slowing everything down, if a table is causing issues, or especially if a hyperlink is going to open another document to get to hyperlink info (sidenote: copying hyperlinks from other documents is a nightmare, why does it default to opening the other indd file instead of just copying the link info?).

19. Share for Review comments link to incorrect spreads on web viewer after reordering pages in InDesign

    I am using the new Share for Review feature to get feedback on a 100+ page document I am working on. Previously I tested reordering pages on a small document, and all comments and pins stayed attached to the page they were originally placed on, even when its page number changed.

    However, after adding some pages to this larger document, I'm running into a problem where the comments are pinned to the correct page inside Indesign, but the wrong one in the web viewer. On the web, it seems to ignore the added pages and goes by the original page number of the comment.

    In the attached example, the comment was originally on page 100, but that page was pushed to number 105 as extra pages were added earlier in the document. In Indesign, the pin appears on page 105, attached to the image mentioned in the comment. On the web, the pin appears on the wrong page.

    This problem started while I was using the previous release, and updating to the latest (14.0.3) hasn't helped. I have updated the link multiple times. Thankfully, even after restarting indesign a few times, the comments remain in the right place inside of Indesign.

    If anyone has a fix, I'd really appreciate it! Otherwise I hope that Adobe can fix the issue soon. Thank you!

    At the moment there is a lot of talk about environmental problems and sustainability. Responsible use is particularly important when it comes to the use of finite and regenerative resources.

    The AGD has developed a charter for sustainability for this purpose. "Designers are largely responsible for
    how our world is shaped. Design shapes, design is a role model and creates
    new awareness. Design consumes resources - sometimes more,
    sometimes less. The sustainable use of natural resources,
    with the environment and with the people who have remained in this world for generations
    should be able to live, design must do justice. "

    Dimensions of sustainable design Sustainable design is:

    Hence, consideration should be given to orienting the designs to save ink and paper. Could Adobe provide a tool that can measure how much ink is used depending on the printing process and color setting? Thus, the material efficiency of a design could be checked and an optimization of the use of ink via measurable and comparable key figures could be inclined.
