Indesign 16.2.1
Indesign 16.2.1 half screen cut red. when adjust windows side by side and then return back, screen cut in half and turn red. After restart it happens again. Whats that? Thanks

Rendering bug on second monitor
Just updated to Illustrator 16.2.1 and discovered a bug I didn't have last week. This is reproducible even over a restart. What I'm doing: opening two documents and moving one to a second monitor to compare the layouts. MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Core i9 Radeon Pro 560X 4GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536MB. When I move a window to the second monitor (the Intel card), the display first is very large (one page, as opposed to spread view). Then as soon as I scroll, the content rendering gets corrupted. It might be totally upside down; or it might smear during scroll.…

Pages/spread overlapping after changing page size
InDesign 2018 CC 13.0.1
Pages and spreads are doing weird things when I resize my document. It creates some odd margin after resize of pages. I start out with 2 pages, document shuffling allowed, facing pages turned off.
Pagespread01112617 - shows the page spread I was working with; each page is 10”x12.25”.
Pagespread02112617 - after I changed the size to 10.68”x11.239” for another ad spread, a weird margin showed up. The content boxes show how there is an odd overlap; each box is 10.68" wide.

Self-closes or crashes when computer sleeps
InDesign 15.1.1
Windows 10
After putting computer to "Sleep", InDesign is closed upon wakening the computer. Sometimes says "crashed" (10% of the time). Other Adobe applications are still open where left off.8 votes -
Type functions do not work on Text frames in CC2019
In all previous versions, it was possible to select a TEXT FRAME (one or more) and apply any text formatting to the text in it.
This has been removed in CC2019. With a text frame selected, the text functions in the control panel and in text related palettes -- Character, Paragraph -- are disabled. The functions in the Character and Paragraph Styles panels are NOT disabled but they don't "work".
Expected result: how it worked in the 13 versions that preceded this one.

Linked PDF Drawings in Indesign Document not showing in Exported Document
Linked PDF causing exported PDF File to not show embedded information, with pop-up showing "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem

Opening documents as tabs cannot be deactivated
Always open documents as tabs even if you have not selected this in the settings under User interface -> Open documents as tabs. I need different window sizes and find tabs impractical.

share for review completely broken in ID and online
Share for review is completely useless and does not work in the latest release on osX Tahoe. I can see the comments from clients listed in the panel, however they are not marked in the document and when clicked on them it does not show you where. So i have to open the comments in a browser (and its buggy even there!!!) and locate the reviews manuall.y. Also, when i update documents (also in AI), i always get a red popup saying that the file update has failed (although it does not fail and the changes are updated).…

Place/import file grey save delay
When placing an image file into InDesign, if recently saved, the file is greyed out and can't be imported (even if I wait). Have to exit import window and go back in. Super annoying.

prompt message
a prompt appears on the bottom of my indesign screen after opening an old file I need to work on (my portfolio):
"Type 1 fonts will no longer be supported after 2023
A blue message box regarding Type 1 not being support starting 2023. Your document contains 0 Type 1 fonts...... more info....."
That box is not leaving my workspace even after I click for more information; It obstructs my workspace.
The chat technician says:
"The message must only be popping up while working on the document. It will not appear once you export it to other file format.…

Crashes while editing cross-references
- InDesign 21.0
- Select cross-reference in text (see screenshot)
- Double-click name of cross-reference in the panel to edit
- Entire program freezes and has to be force quit (waited for about 20 min.)
This happens with a couple of cross-references again and again. Some other cross-references work as they should.

Double hyphen in words that already contain hyphen (minus)
Since a few weeks (we think since the InDesign 16.1 x64 update), we see a major problem in a lot of our books:
Words that already contain a hyphen (minus sign: -), and that are hyphenated automatically by InDesign, get a double hyphen!
Normally, when hyphenated words are at the end of the line, the 'hard typed' hyphen gets replaced by the automatic hyphen (with the blue ~ added above it), but now the automated hyphen is added, so we get two consecutive hyphens (--). Adobe Fonts wont load
Hello,
While creating a document I was trying to discover a new font. I clicked Fonts > Find More and where a list of adobe fonts usually pops up, I got nothing. I tried creating a new text box, signing in and out of adobe, and closing / opening the document.
Attached please find a screen grab of the issue.
I'd love an assist if possible.

When duplicating page(s) the layout breaks
I'm on windows 11.
Since updating to 19.4 i noticed that everytime i duplicate a page it moves my whole layout around. It happens not only if i alt drag the page, also if i right click duplicate and when i made an alternate layout in the page panel. It also doesn't matter if i lock a layer. Everything gets moved a little bit to the right or the left, to the top or bottom. Sometimes it also slightly scales an image i believe. hyphenation not working properly in English
first, why can't I use a snipping file here? Neither .jpg or .png will work - your site denies these file types.
My hyphenation is really out of whack. If you look at the first line of text, it's crazy that it's wrapping the 1, for WW1 to the next line. If I add the No Break from the Character panel, it moves "World War" down to the second line.

Missing item in startup screen should be removed
If I move a document on my hard drive, of course it’s gonna be missing in the recent items of inDesign. (normal)
At that moment, instead of « missing doc -> OK » i should have :
« missing doc -> remove from recent docs / Ok »
* OK would do the exact same thing, closing the message window and leaving the icon/item there.
* remove would remove it from the list so that I don’t see it again and mistakenly click it again.

Allow InDesign to retain local formatting when updating linked text files.
When using linked text files in InDesign, any local formatting changes made directly in InDesign (such as font size, color, bold/italic, etc.) are lost when the external text file is updated. This is a significant limitation for designers who need to maintain complex formatting in layouts. Please add an option to retain local formatting when linked text files are updated.
Suggestion:

Keyboard shortcuts to change case not working on Windows
Keyboard shortcuts to change case of lines of text is no longer working. Apart from Alt-T to get up the text menu, I'm now having to use the mouse to select the further options to change to Title case. The sequence Alt-T-E-T, no longer works. As I frequently have many entries which need unifying each time I use it, this once useful feature is sorely missing. Please can you fix it Adobe?
