Exporting a Snippet Causes Crash
Whenever I try to export a snippet, either through dragging the ID item onto the desktop, or by going to File > Export > Snippet, InDesign will crash. The only way to get a snippet is by adding it to a library by using the flout menu in the Library panel.
I am on mac OS 13.13.3 and InDesign 13.0.1

Hi,
Myself Sanyam Talwar from InDesign Engineering team, I am currently investigating the current issue.During our analysis of issue mentioned in the thread, we found that you had reported a crash with an older release of InDesign.
We have released InDesign CC2019.0.1 with lot of stability fixes. If you are not on 14.0.1.209 then I would recommend you to upgrade to latest version as it is more robust.
If you still face an issue with the latest release, please submit the crash report. Guidelines to submit crash are available at https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html

I just created a traditional library. Dragged some simple items to the Finder desktop. Created snippet without crash.
Dragged similar items into Library panel. No crash.
Used Flout (I love that typo.) without crash.
What OS are you using? -

Lately, there is no way to add anything to a library. Even doing it using the Libraries flyout menu causes inDesign to crash. The only way I can add items to the library is through InDesign 2015. Then I have to reopen the library in 2018 to use it in my current document.

Now adding a library item to a regular library causes a crash. I try dragging and dropping, as well as using the flyout menu. Both cause ID to crash.
I'd give CC libraries a try, but there is usually a connection error to the Adobe server.
