1. couldn't paste

   I could not paste a letter character AND a tab into a table cell. I could paste letter-tab-letter, but not tab-letter. It would paste just the letter without the tab. Weird I know, and I can't duplicate it right now, but just in case others have seen it.

2. InDesign crashes on launch with clean preference if Brother Printer is default printer

   On STRG+P InDesgin (CC18 / 13.0.1 x64) crashes! Working on PC WIN7 64 bit. It happens on existing Document choosing Printer Brother MFC-6890. If I create a new Document ans I can choose PDF oder other, it works. Choosing Brother-Printer -> Crash!

   We have fixed the issue with InDesign’s Mar 2018 update.
   Please download the latest InDesign version (InDesign CC 13.1) for the fix.

   I have not changed anything in my settings for this error to occur? The previous version works and I have cross-referenced all my settings and they match but it will not allow the print booklet export to the Adobe PDF drive which has always worked?

   Sometimes, InDesign might crash while accessing the printer setup or while printing documents with some specific printers. The crash is intermittent and specific to Windows only.
   Currently, this issue is observed with the following printers when their drivers are not updated:
   • Konica Minolta
   • Canon ColorPass
   • LANIER

   If the printer you are using is not listed here or if updating the drivers of the listed printers does not resolve the issue, please share the following information at sharewithID@adobe.com to help us investigate the issue further:
   • Printer driver and printer setup details.
   • The configuration of your printer – local, network, or wireless.
   • Is the printer configured as your default printer?

5. text outside of text frame

   Text suddenly appears outside of frame. This happened on two different pages. In one instance, the number (which is the result of a numbered list) did not appear at all, but it had been previously there, and in other instances, the number appeared outside of the text frame. There were no overrides on the style. This suddenly happened. If i placed my cursor and started typing where the number should have been (and was with all other numbered bullets), then the disappearing number reappeared in the one case, and, in the others, the number moved back into the text frame. 6. Fix it!

   Footnote symbols at the beginning and at the end of the footnote I can't delete them nor the space that associated with the damn blasted symbol.

   It's just a mess. Endnotes footnotes it's a horror show to deal with them. I wasn't before but with this update---truly a horror show.

   Hi,
   Thanks for mentioning this. Do you mean the blue braces at the end and start of endnote text?
   Those are just markers that depict the start and end of endnote text. This will not be printed or exported. helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/using/endnotes…

   To adjust the spaces, please explore and set the Type→Document Endnote options.

7. when I click on Indesign document, the program oben but nut the the documents

   Have had to restart computer twice now to get latest update of InDesign to open and/or create any documents at work.

9. Indesign CC 2017 does not accept color management

   Hello!
   I work on Mac with high Sierra 10.13.2 with adobe CC 2015, 2017 and 2018.
   I have been working with Adobe for 25 years and therefore know the subject color management settings & synchronization.
   In Photoshop I have a color set made up of ECI RGB and ISOcoated v2 and other parameters such as rel.fartric with TK, etc.

   Then I synced with the bridge the suite on this set. Photoshop and AI do not accept this set but InDesign does. The error message comes:

   "Some parameters of the color settings file could not be used. The default values ​​are used."

   I have created a new color set from Indesign with eciRGB v2 and ISOctd v2 and get the same problem as prescribed.

   Have already tried everything, even the whole Adobe cc package uninstalled and reinstalled again.
   It did not help. In the 2015er and 2018er version, the indesign color management works flawlessly. Only with the 2017er version hooks it. If you create a new document after restarting the program, it will always be created with sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and Coated Fogra39 (ISO 12647-2: 2004). Only when you go into the color settings, and unchanged with ok confirmed (the settings are all right in there with eci rgb and isocoated) created indesign the new documents with the eci rgb and isocoated v2 profiles. I will despair soon !!!
   There are no umlauts in the name in it. Have also tried several times to reset the profiles and save again. Then the error message always comes as described by clemens. Although it saves the file in the Setting folder, it does so in conjunction with the complete path.

   The file that Indesign stores as a color settings file is as follows:
   / Users / username / Library / Application Support / Adobe / Color / Settings / Test.csf
   (this long line is the filename !!!)

   The file was saved in the Settings directory under:
   / Users / username / Library / Application Support / Adobe / Color / Settings

   As already explained, the correct information under the color setting is in it, but after a restart of the program only active when you call color settings and again confirmed with OK. And only in Indesign 2017!
   If you open a new page right after the restart, ID will include the profiles sRGB IEC61966-2.1 and Coated Fogra39 (ISO 12647-2: 2004).
   When opening existing files, no message box appears on "Deviation from profile or policy".

   I have still tried the folder writing rights repaired or re-adjusted

   In addition, I have the plate still run on the first aid in the hard disk utility.
   Unfortunately, the error still exists.

   What I have to say about this problem is that this error exists in three workplaces.

   I think it's a bug in Indesign.
   Have already discovered 3 or 4 cases on the net, but also with older Indesign versions,
   but all with the same mistake. Unfortunately, there was nowhere a solution for it.

   Thank you for reporting the issue. We need some information around the issue which may help us in narrowing down the root cause:

   1. Does it happen with the latest InDesign version 14.0.1 ?
   2. Is it document specific or happens with all the documents?
   3. Does it happen when you switch between Adobe applications in a specific order ?
   4. Please specify your Platform, OS version and InDesign version.

   A short video depicting the issue will be very helpful.

10. Presentation mode is not entering fullscreen and hiding the UI

    Using InDesign on Windows 10. Recently (perhaps with the last CC update to 13.0.1 x64?) preview mode is no longer working as expected.

    Whether using shift+W or via the menu, instead of full-screen document + black background (expected behaviour for Presentation mode), InDesign instead appears to be going into Preview mode, where the UI remains onscreen. The pasteboard is changing to black, however, the UI remains instead of full-screen mode.

12. Based on paragraph styles have issues when created by script

    When creating styles via a script, styles that are based on other styles are not overwriting style attributes properly. i.e.:
    p - font: Arial, size: 10.5, leading: 13, indent 8
    p-first: based-on, p, indent 0
    The indent may or may not actually be set to 0 if those two styles are created by a script. If I fix the indent manually in InDesign, any of the styles that are based off of p-first would update properly.

13. Extension Manager can't be found in Mac version of Indesign 2018

    I'd noticed that OpenAsset was always opening without me installing it. I close the window, it pops back up. I don't want to use that extension, but can no longer find the extension manager to turn it off. I tried using the extension dropdown to uncheck OpenAsset, but it just reopens a few minutes later.

14. Beveled and Embossed image should not flatten during pdf export

    A bug that needs fixing:
    InDesign Version CC, I embedded an image, applied a shear, applied the bevel and emboss effect, when exporting to pdf, it flattens the sheared image and adds a weird bevel in the middle of the image. Screenshot 1 from InDesign, Screenshot 2 from resulting pdf. This needs to be corrected.

15. Paragraph styles alignment won't set

    I am unable to change the paragraph alignment in existing paragraph styles. it stays on "left" no matter what i select. there are no associated styles it just won't let me change it.

16. Exporting Emojis to PDF

    I built a newsletter with the use of the new Apple Emoji "glyphs" in InDesign and when I went to export it as a PDF, it replaced my emojis with random images from my file.

    I talked with Adobe support and learned that only vector emojis can be used in PDFs which is a bit frustrating! Can we update the PDF export capability to include these new emoji features, so we can use the glyphs like I think that they were intended? I'd be a happy camper!! Thank you in advance!

17. save as dialogue

    Summary: Save button disabled when dragging a folder from finder into the Save dialogue for file that has not been previously saved (new files or converted documents.)

    1. InDesign Version 13.0.1 - macOS
    2. To reproduce error: Create a new file (this is required), choose Save As, drag a folder from the finder into the Save As dialogue, press "Save"
    3. Expected result: Save action to take place
    4. Actual result: Save button has no effect (browsing to a new folder will re-enable the Save button)

18. Cannot resize Epub Interactivity Preview panel

    I can not resize the Epub Interactivity Preview Panel at all.

19. OSX Sierra/Adobe InDesign CC 2017.1 crashes when using fonts and high-resolution images

    1. Indesign CC 2017.1/Mac OS Sierra 2. 3. 4. We are using various Hindi fonts on the mac and designing .indd files, intermittently we encounter crashing with certain Hindi fonts. Only one font has shown stable where we encounter no issues. Also images are coming as thumbnails at first, once it is the full high res-image that is imported the program crashes. 5.     To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

20. Cannot export to PDF in a Google Drive folder

    When exporting a large file to PDF which is located in a Google Drive folder, the background (export) process will stop with an error "cannot export to PDF" and sometimes ID will crash.
    Tried several times and kept on stopping. Worked well when exported to the desktop (or any other non Google drive location).
