Character Limits, Comb Line Form Fields and Font Alignment for Form Fields
Hello,
I would like to suggest that character limits can be set for comb line form fields. Also I would like there to be a possibility of creating comb line form fields (without creating tables). In addition, there should be alignment of the text as an option in the form field (whether left, center or right). This would save so much time and effort so that once the document is exported as a tagged PDF, those features mentioned would also be set. Finally, there should be a way to tag layout tables so that it does not register as…

Provide an option for placing multipage PDFs where the number of pages imported into the InDesign document is variable.
When I use the PlaceMultipagePDF.jsx script, the number of pages imported is static based on the number of pages in the PDF being imported at the time. However, if pages are added to the PDF being imported, then when I reopen the InDesign file, I only see the original number of pages and not the additional pages that were added to the imported PDF.
The PlaceMultipagePDF script is a valuable automation tool for recurring reports with regular updates. However, I lose all this automation if the number of pages in the imported PDF changes. In those…

Tagged form fields failed Accessibility checker options
Form fields tags aren't exporting properly for tagged pdfs in the newest Indesign 2018 (13.0.1). The tags won't show up in the file therefore not allowing the pdfs to pass the accessibility checker. There are no issues when exporting as tagged pdf from the 2017 CC.
I am frustrated with recognition for fields export from 2018 to pdf. I have been avoiding using 2018 for this reason. When you talk to Adobe you have to speak to an indesign specialist or a Adobe Acrobat specialist and neither one knows the other program!!! The Adobe expert tells me…

ID to create animated gif for social media.
You already have the animation panel for ID to PDF in the software. Please extend this so that ID can create graphics for social media posts. If we can do this for PDF, please extend the privilege to gifs. Thank you.

Native AI support.
Using links within AI to keep source files small is useless if INDD is a part of the workflow because INDD will not place AI files unless PDF compatibility is turned on. Turning on PDF compatibility in AI when saving embeds all links so linking files instead of embedding them makes no difference.
Please make INDD able to place AI files that have not been saved with PDF compatibility turned on.

Export Preset Suffix
I use different presets in Indesign for the PDF export. See screenshot. I work in RGB workflow and export different papers in CMYK etc.
work with a very strict naming convention for documents like PDF.
This means that the naming can be used to determine whether the document is HighEnd PDF or View for Customer.Indesign takes over the document name for the export. I add the export names like e.g:
Document A LowEnd.pdf
Document A X4 High U.pdf
Document A Screen 150dpi.pdfI have to do this manually in each case.
It would be great…3 votes -
Show bleed between spreads or make it possible to mix spreads and single pages in the same InDesign document
In a magazine you always have a combination of spreads and single pages for separate topics. In a InDesign document you can't work with a combination of spreads and single pages.
In order to print a PDF by an offset printer, 3 mm bleed is required all around a page. Further it is required that all the pages in the PDF are exported as single pages with bleed and crop marks. This works fine for a spread that has one big image that overlaps both pages of a spread. But not for a spread that has an seperate page layout…

Convert or Make Dreamweaver able to edit and compose EPUB documents.
I post this here because Feature Requests aro not longer existing for Dreamweaver, but hear me out. After you export an ePub from inDesing, sometimes is necesary to do some edits that can be done easily with an HTML editor. Extracting the files and restoring back the ePub format for publication could be cumbersome or difficult. You may even start an ePub directly from Dreamwever and finalize it for publication, tests included. I know other tools exist for something like this, but they don't have Emmet. DW could be a fantastic tool for ePub to be a companion for inDesign…

Color Property and Text Alignment Option for Text Form Field
Under Buttons and Forms, if selecting a Text Field for an object or area, we are given the following text properties: Font, Font Appearance (Bold, Regular, etc), and Font Size.
I am requesting that the following properties are added to the Text Field options: Text Color, Text Alignment.
Text Color - Allows user to choose color of text that will show up in the interactive Text Field after being exported to PDF.
Text Alignment - Allows user to place the text alignment within the field prior to exporting.
By adding these two elements, the user doesn't have to then…

Make new features available in all language versions of InDesign.
So, today InDesign 20.3 was released, including among other things the feature of converting PDF files to InDesign files, a feature that has previously been available in beta versions.
Now, for some unknown reason the feature is available only in English language versions of InDesign, which follows previous examples, where things as Style packs also doesn't seem to make it into other language versions.
My simple feature request is to stop this discrimination and make these features available across the board. There can be no logical reason why things as PDF conversion should be available only in English versions.

Scrollable text frame feature.
Currently you have the option in the overlays panel, but it currently doesn't work. This is valuable for many design jobs where the client has to cull text to make the content fit into a specified page size. Particularly in PDF format, so if it's possible to make it work for all export formats, not just ePub and Publish online. Clients are still using PDFs so we need to make things work for them.

Creating Imposition of Documents
Creating Imposition of Documents when packaging and exporting to PDF it should ask which type of binding you required (staple pin, hardbound, saddle stich, gum bind etc) , the size of paper, Start of document first page for example in english the first page starts from right and Arabic it is reverse and then creates a pdf with imposition layout to the print format.
I have attached screen shot which is layout of imposition of pdf document.

Publish Online should include a print option + spreads with Two-Up Continuous (Cover Page)
Published Online files should include a print option that sizes a page to a printable option. Currently if I upload our publication (a coupon book) to Publish Online and we try to print the page shown on the screen it crops most of the page regardless of the browser used. You can shrink your window and sort of get the desired result, but we don't think most of our readers will know how to do this. Also it would be nice to be able to select a page range of what to print. I know you can include a pdf…

Please increase the MAX page size to above 14400 pixels (20")
Pdf can support page sizes up to miles long or wide.... (although this is slightly absurd, but yes, MILES long!) but if you create a large page in InDesign you are met with a lovely error message when you come to export. Larger page sizes would be beneficial for lots of reasons, app prototyping, print, really long articles and pictures of Giraffes ;-)
Seriously though, please oh wise Adobe can you increase this limitation to a more reasonable number, Thank-you.

We have an urgent need for the media controllers to return.
Currently the interactive PDF user has no way to replay/rewind/advance videos!
