Help page gives incorrect information regarding PageMaker file conversion
Searched InDesign support for "pagemaker file conversion"
The top article (dated March 2017) is titled "Convert QuarkXPress and PageMaker documents to InDesign". Here's the address of this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/converting-quarkxpress-pagemaker-documents.html This article is part of the "InDesign CC User Guide." In the right hand column, it says it applies to InDesign CC. The first sentence in the Pagemaker section is "InDesign can convert document and template files from Adobe PageMaker 6.0 and later." It proceeds to give directions. I have come to find out that these instructions cannot be followed in InDesign CC, but only in InDesign CS6. This resulted in me wasting about an hour talking to Adobe's truly worthless support representatives.
This webpage needs to be corrected. Just replace that first sentence with: "InDesign CC cannot open or convert PageMaker files, but there is a solution. Start by downloading and installing InDesign CS6. Use CS6 to open and convert your PageMaker files (instructions below). After you save them as InDesign documents, you will be able to open them in InDesign CC."
It is clearly in Adobe's interest to help their customers avoid contact with the Adobe support staff. Correcting this webpage will be a move in that direction.

I don't have the option to download CS6 version of InDesign to convert the file as CS6 version has been removed from Creative Cloud.
