  1. couldn't paste

    I could not paste a letter character AND a tab into a table cell. I could paste letter-tab-letter, but not tab-letter. It would paste just the letter without the tab. Weird I know, and I can't duplicate it right now, but just in case others have seen it.

  2. InDesign crashes on launch with clean preference if Brother Printer is default printer

    On STRG+P InDesgin (CC18 / 13.0.1 x64) crashes! Working on PC WIN7 64 bit. It happens on existing Document choosing Printer Brother MFC-6890. If I create a new Document ans I can choose PDF oder other, it works. Choosing Brother-Printer -> Crash!

    We have fixed the issue with InDesign’s Mar 2018 update.
    Please download the latest InDesign version (InDesign CC 13.1) for the fix.

    List of crashes and other issues that have been fixed with the update can be found at the below provided link:

    If you’re unable to see the update, go to Creative Cloud application, click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

  3. when I click on Indesign document, the program oben but nut the the documents

    Have had to restart computer twice now to get latest update of InDesign to open and/or create any documents at work.

  5. Extension Manager can't be found in Mac version of Indesign 2018

    I'd noticed that OpenAsset was always opening without me installing it. I close the window, it pops back up. I don't want to use that extension, but can no longer find the extension manager to turn it off. I tried using the extension dropdown to uncheck OpenAsset, but it just reopens a few minutes later.

  6. Beveled and Embossed image should not flatten during pdf export

    A bug that needs fixing:
    InDesign Version CC, I embedded an image, applied a shear, applied the bevel and emboss effect, when exporting to pdf, it flattens the sheared image and adds a weird bevel in the middle of the image. Screenshot 1 from InDesign, Screenshot 2 from resulting pdf. This needs to be corrected.

  7. save as dialogue

    Summary: Save button disabled when dragging a folder from finder into the Save dialogue for file that has not been previously saved (new files or converted documents.)

    1. InDesign Version 13.0.1 - macOS
    2. To reproduce error: Create a new file (this is required), choose Save As, drag a folder from the finder into the Save As dialogue, press "Save"
    3. Expected result: Save action to take place
    4. Actual result: Save button has no effect (browsing to a new folder will re-enable the Save button)

  8. OSX Sierra/Adobe InDesign CC 2017.1 crashes when using fonts and high-resolution images

    1. Indesign CC 2017.1/Mac OS Sierra 2. 3. 4. We are using various Hindi fonts on the mac and designing .indd files, intermittently we encounter crashing with certain Hindi fonts. Only one font has shown stable where we encounter no issues. Also images are coming as thumbnails at first, once it is the full high res-image that is imported the program crashes. 5. The crash reports below indicate the problem:

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

    If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

  9. Cannot export to PDF in a Google Drive folder

    When exporting a large file to PDF which is located in a Google Drive folder, the background (export) process will stop with an error "cannot export to PDF" and sometimes ID will crash.
    Tried several times and kept on stopping. Worked well when exported to the desktop (or any other non Google drive location).

    Unchecking Typekit sync does not work.

  13. CRASH REPORT EVERY TIME I QUIT INDESIGN

    Now I have Ctrl Changes installed (software that tracks changes) InDesign produces a Crash Report every single time I quit InDesign.

    Attached is a copy of the Crash Report.

    Please help fix this bug.

  14. Folder Aliases on Server greyed out

    We have here big troubles with export, saving AND and placing in Indesign AND Illustrator.
    Since Update on CC18 and High Sierra, everytime we want to open/save/place a document, all aliases are greyed out. (connection to server)

  15. QuickApply crashes if an image is placed in a table

    Version: InD CC 2017 (and previous)

    Steps:
    1. Create a table
    2. Place image in a cell (linked or embedded)
    3. Command-Enter (attempt to open quickApply)

    Expected result:
    No crash

    Actual result:
    crash

    File attached

    If images are placed in a table cell, InD crashes when using QuickApply.

    As confirmed by the user, the issue is resolved after upgrading to the latest version InDesign CC 13.1.

    If you are unable to see the update, go to Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

  16. Failed to connect to Acrobat DDE server

    1. Latest Indesign with latest Acrobat running on Windows 10 (1709)
    2. When exporting a PDF with activated option "Open PDF after export" and with Acrobat being already open with a document (but only in display mode and no dialogue window open), it would sometimes not open the PDF in Acrobat, but after a while show an error popup saying it failed to connect to Acrobat DDE server. I never had this in former versions of Indesign and Acrobat.

  18. foot note

    Version 13.0.1
    Introduce Foot Note
    Expected result: consecutive numbers for foot notes
    Actual result: non consecutive numbers for foot notes

    Attached files: until pag 34 everything works oks. Then when I add a new foot note reestarts numbering as Note 1

  19. InDesign 2018 and High Sierra cannot export correct looking pdf

    pdf will export but it exports a previously saved file. I even tried saving as a new doc and still it exports to the older art.

    Hi

    Please provide the following information:
    1. What version of InDesign CC (2018) are you using? Is it 13.0 or 13.0.1? You can verify this in the About box.
    2. What do you mean by “it still exports to the older art”? Do the linked files used older linked graphics or the file itself is exporting to an older version of the file?
    3. Is it specific to a particular file or is happening constantly with all the files?

    Also, please share the file with which you are seeing the issue, as a package with all links and fonts, at anasgupt@adobe.com

  20. Random De-selection

    I've found this to be an issue ever since I first started using indesign 3 years ago. Sometimes when shift selecting objects, other random objects that you have already selected will unselect themselves. For example, I am selecting 4 random objects on my spread, I select 1, then 2, then 3, then 4, and object 2 unselects itself when I selected object 4
