   Thank you for your support all this while. The issue is now fixed in the latest update of InDesign.
   Please upgrade to the new InDesign 14.0 from your Creative Cloud Application.

   If you are unable to see the update yet, click on the menu (three dots) on the top right corner of Creative cloud app and click on “Check for App Updates”.

2. 2018 Indesign/Incopy Check In Prompt On Close Does Not Actually Check in.

   If we close Indesign or Incopy without checking in, the program will ask us if we want to. When we choose to check in, Adobe will act like it Checks In and then closes, but the changes are never saved back to the original file. Check In only works if we choose Check In manually before closing.

3. Extendscript : impossible to add word to user dictionnary with respect to upper/lower case

   Using the following script portion :

   app.userDictionaries.item('Français').addWord ([ "~Crescrire"]);  
   

   the data added to the dictionnary is "~crescrire" and the the upper case C is lost.

5. link resize

   We had a booklet that the client wanted to swap the position of two ads. I copied the ad from one page pasted onto the desired page and vice versa with the other ad. At some point those ads resized inside their boxes to 114% which caused information to be cut off in the ad. The ad was given to us with a bleed and crop marks which is what we cropped out with the frame. The 114% that the ad enlarged to is the amount of space the bleed and crop marks would take up. We do have the Preserve Image Dimensions when Relinking box is checked in the preferences. Not sure if this is a bug but we have over 100 links in this file and only two had this issue.

   Steps to reproduce the issues:
   1. Create a new document.
   2. Select File > Place, check Show Import Options, select attached Columns_26.xlsx file.
   3. Note nonstandard default Cell Range: A1:A@10 (should be A1:Z10).
   4. Enter custom (valid) Cell Range "A1:E5"

   Expected result:
   No error and a table containing cells A1 through E5.

   Actual result:
   Error message, "You have not entered a valid 'Cell Range'. (See attached screenshot.)

   This error is given for any sheet whose right-most column is a multiple of 26 (so Z, AZ, BZ, etc.). Place the attached Columns_52.xlsx with range "A1:E5", for example.

   Adding/removing a column (attached Columns_27.xlsx file) avoids the error.

   Versions of Adobe InDesign:
   CS6 through CC 2018.0, Windows and macOS

7. interactive button

   I can't get the interactive button working on Epub preview, Epub export, or publish online. Either to activate an animation or the different appearances.

   I've try reinstalling indesign CC 2018, and it till won't work.

8. grep query doesn't work to delete multiple page breaks

   Hi,
   I wanted to delete all page breaks (manual, odd, even) in an InDesign document with Grep:

   Find: [~P~L~E]+
   Replace: \r

   This query doesn't work, it finds nothing.
   If I use one by one it's prefect. What' wrong?

   We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    Can't get a drop down of all my fonts in Find Font- Replaced with Font Family.
    I only see minion pro and can only select a font by clicking on minion pro and using the up and down arrows to navigate.

11. Hanging Indent plus Left Justify makes words float out of text frame

    I often use bulleted lists with the commmand/backslash (hanging indent) tool. If the text is aligned left, no problem. But when I use left justify, it sends some of the words off to the right — outside of the text frame! Please see examples below.

    The text samples here were using Adobe Paragraph Composer. But when I switched it to World-Ready it fixed it!

    I've been having this problem for a while. Before I updated to InDesign 2018 and after the update as well. I'm running El Capitan 10.11.6 on a Mid 2011 iMac.

12. Error Code 0 - Often can't save as InDesign-Document

    InDesign often says that it can't save my InDesign-Document, because its damaged (error code 0) . It damage my files, so that i've to save as IDML.

    Annoying.

    Cant't reproduce the problem.
    I work local, so it can't be an connection-problem.

    In our attempt to eliminate the problem completely, we could identify few scenarios in the which the problem would manifest. While we acknowledge that the list of scenarios may not be exhaustive, we assure you that we are continuously working towards solving the problem completely.

13. No Panels at Start

    Many times CC apps start with no panels at all or panels which won't expand when clicked.

    Also happens in Photoshop, Illustrator in my experience and on different machines (Mac Pro at home, different iMacs at the office).

    Has been going on for many iterations of CC apps.

14. Font Weight Not Changing

    In the Character panel often it is not possible to change a font weight from Regular to Bold for example. I have to go in the font menu and select the font specifically.

    Also, in the character panel the menu to change weights does not change anymore when I select a different font. For example: Metropilis Black becomes Calibri Black (which does not exist).

    Clearing caches and trashing preferences does not help.

    Happens on different machines, Mac Pro at home and different iMacs at work / CC 2018 InDesign 13.01

17. datamerge crashes after updating placeholder

    The Crash happened after selecting the word between the data merge tags << WORD >> and then clicking on the placeholder name in the data merge panel. I had to do that to update a datamerge placeholder that lost its link to its source after converting the document back from cc18 to cc17.
    After relinking the data merge document, some of its tags still worked throughout the document and some didnt.

18. Wrong characters exported to PDF.

    My InDesign-Document uses 1 font only. After exporting a PDF, some character-combinations are replaced by a special character (see Screenshot). After closing and re-opening the document, the error doesn't appear again and the PDF file is exported normally.

    We have released InDesign CC2019.0.2 with lot of stability fixes. If you are not on 14.0.2.324 then I would recommend you to upgrade to latest version as it is more robust.

    If you still face this issue even after updating, please send the following information to santalwa@adobe.com :
    • Error snapshot or video recording of the issue?
    • Is(Are) the issue related to a specific document(s)/asset(s)? If Yes, Can you please provide the document(s)/asset(s)? Please package the entire document(To package the document, Go to File → Package)
    • Does Trashing preference and cache, please create a backup of Preference and cache before trashing them, help to resolve the issue?

20. Changing Font Family on Bullet Options causes my computer to immediately crash and logout?

    In the "Bullets and Numbering" section of the Paragraph Style Options, when I try to open the dropdown for Font Family, it seems to crash, and my computer acts like it logged out.

    Screen goes black, then shows the user login screen. When I log in, it's like my computer was shut down unexpectedly. All other application windows reappear but have to reload, like it was shut down, not just logged out.

    Why's this happenning?
