Changing font in Character Panel frequently causes a crash in Indesign CC 2018

Since 2018 version, changing a font in the character panel frequently crashes the application, but not 100% of the time. Font worked fine in older version and sometimes works fine in 2018, but the same issue has happened a good few times in the last week or so.

Hello All,

Thank you for your support all this while. The issue is now fixed in the latest update of InDesign.
Please upgrade to the new InDesign 14.0 from your Creative Cloud Application.

If you are unable to see the update yet, click on the menu (three dots) on the top right corner of Creative cloud app and click on “Check for App Updates”.

    I am using 14.0.1 on Mac and still crushes

    Same issue, windows 10. Can't scroll fonts using top menu bar. Application freezes.

    The new version crashes (beach ball) when trying to scroll through fonts.

    Indesign 14.0.1 is broken. When I try to change a font in the font-window, InDesign freezes and I have to restart!!! Please fix this ASAP!!!

    Hello,

    Actually, I'm using Adobe CC 14.0.1 x64 and it is not fixed. I guess the drawing board needs to be revisited.

    There is a book about 1000 pages. I work as a book, but especially when I get to the last section, the program crashes. I've reconstructed the document, re-created the styles, but it didn't work. I've prepared many books with the same fonts before, but I've never had a problem. My system is 10.14, CC version is 2019. How do you suggest a solution?

    This is still not fixed. All of our machines do this (though the frequency has slowed a little bit).

    This issue WAS NOT FIXED by Adobe so you should not be representing it as so. This is a very well know Adobe issue and our company is suffering for it. We are losing deals and millions of dollars because they hasn't been fix.

    Hi there,

    I have the same problem. As soon as I activate or select a text tool for the first time, the complete system freezes.

    Running latest InDesign with the following specs:

    Win10
    Intel Core i9
    32 RAM
    SSD
    Nvidia Quadra P2000

    Hello Abhinav. I am still experiencing the issue where InDEsign will freeze or crash when I click any pallet option associated to text formatting. I am running latest version (14.0 x64). Checked for updates - none available.

    Can't change font from panel and crashes won't try too many times..
