1. Publish Online

   Beim Veröffentlichen von doppelseitigen Dokumenten "verschwinden" Teile auf der linken Seite. Bei einer erneuten Veröffentlichung sind jeweils andere Teile "verschwunden". Gibt es da eine Lösung?

   When publishing double-sided documents, parts on the left side "disappear". When publishing again, other parts "disappear". Is there a solution?

2. Page numbering is broken

   Since the latest update (InDesign 15.1.2) you can no longer change the page numbering to roman numerals or a, b, c etc. When you make a new section and change the style of numbering system - nothing changes. You can also not make a page have a new number - for example change page 10 to page 20, it will remain as page 10. These are very important features of InDesign and need to be fixed as soon as possible.

   Step 1 - Menu - Layout - Number & section options
   Step 2 - Change page 1 to style 'i, ii, iii, iv ...'
   Expected result - pages numbered i, ii, iii etc.
   Actual result - no change
   Step 3: Change page 11 to page 1
   Expected result - page 11 is now labelled as page 11
   Actual result - no change

3. InDesign is not correctly role mapping all paragraph styles to tags, when creating an accessible tagged interactive PDF

   I am using InDesign 15.1.1 to create several accessible, tagged PDFs.
    
   I have tagged every paragraph style correctly under the export tags for PDF (Edit all export tags > show: PDF), and I have left any list items and table of contents items with the default ‘Automatic’ tag.
    
   I am exporting as an interactive PDF with ‘Create tagged PDF’ checked. 
    
   Then when viewing the PDF in Acrobat Pro DC, in the Tags pane I have selected ‘Apply role mapping to tags’. This should ensure that in the tags pane in Acrobat, all my original paragraph style names are displaying as the tags that I have created. But this is not happening. I am finding that some of the tags are role mapping correctly, while several other tags are appearing incorrectly role-mapped with their original paragraph style names in place instead of the tags that I had assigned to them in InDesign.

   There seems to be no logic to this. This role mapping problem is occurring on every document I export as a tagged interactive PDF, no matter the size (i.e. from a small 12pp booklet to a large 125pp brochure). The only common characteristic is that the initial pages of the PDF have the tags correctly role mapped, but then as the document progresses some of the tags start to break down with their tags not appearing and instead their original paragraph style names are displayed. I have tried exporting the PDF from my another Mac and I get the same result.

   Today I have discovered something interesting: if I export just a few pages at a time then the role mapping is working correctly. The problem seems to occur when I export the full document – InDesign does not seem to be able to export all the information correctly en masse.

   Note: I have updated to InDesign 15.1.2 today and the problem is still occurring.

4. Indesign 2020 doesn't convert older InDesign files so they are useable

   When I open older InDesign files (pre-2019) in 2020, the program hangs and I get the spinny wheel and have to force quit. It also doesn't load italic version of system font Palatino. The workaround is to open them in 2019, why can't 2020 open older files properly?

7. indesign CC 2020 15.1.1 not recognizing font

   document will work fine, then randomly a window will pop up saying that it is missing a font that I have been working with. Restarting Indesign usually works for a brief amount of time

8. Update unavailable

   InDesign 15.1.2 was released several days ago but it does not show up in Creative Cloud 5.2.1.441, and I have no way to update ID. As of today, there is also an update 15.1.2 for InCopy, and that doesn't show up either. Running macOS 10.13.6.

10. drag to layer

    drag to layer is not working right... when i have 5 layers (for example) and i want drag an object from layer 2 to 5 it seems tot work but after select the moved object its now in layer 3?
    What goes wrong?

12. Right-to-left

    Text setting RTL text in Adlam is completely usable in ID 2020 and ID 2020 ME. It used to mostly serviceable in prior editions. Postional forms are incorrect with the initial forms becoming medial and final forms becoming initial. In addition, the cursor is always on the wrong side of the letter making marks failing to attach correctly. Finally, text cannot be selected at all.

13. Misplaced pin icons and shapes in Share for Review

    Pins or shapes in Share for Review are always shown with misplaced icons or shape "borders". All browsers render it similarly. In Chrome, after reloading and clearing cache through DevTools, pin icons are changed to numbers and shapes disappear (in DevTools there is some error...). Btw, in Opera for Android, there are shown numbers by default. Using InDesign 15.1.1 for Windows, tried different files on laptot/desktop with the same results.

    About a week before I used the function for the first time and everything was fine, but I'm not sure if InDesign had the latest update.

14. 15.1.2 No cursor visible in Input fields in Light/Medium Light themes

    Since installing 15.1.2 on iMac 10.15.6 (and after restart) , I can't see my cursor (blinking) in the Find/change input field. I can type in some text though, but still no cursor visible

15. Accessibility-Tag Z order issue while using custom bullets

    When we use custom bullets for bullet list, the reading order tag is not properly exported to PDF. We are getting an unwanted space between the custom bullet and the text and that too reading order got reversed. We are not getting such issue while using InDesign default bullet list. Please refer the attached screenshot with reading order enabled.

19. Variable font: Italic character wrongly displayed when exported to PDF format from InDesign.

    I'm reporting this bug on behalf of the type design studio Dalton Maag. To reproduce: use the provided test font, write the lowercase letter "p" in Indesign, and choose the "Hair Italic" instance, or equivalently, set:
    - the font's weight axis to the minimum,
    - the width to its default value
    - the italic axis to its maximum.

    Glyphs are shown without fault within InDesign itself. However, when exported to PDF format and opened on Acrobat Reader, there is an issue with how the letter “p” is displayed (see aktiv_vf_p_bug.png).

    We are suspecting the issue is caused by a point on the glyph with coordinate x=0. For our purpose of releasing a working version of the font, we were able to circumvent this problem by moving the offending point by one pixel to the right in the Hair Italic master. However, this is not an acceptable longterm solution from a design standpoint.

    We also suspect that the problem happens during the conversion from variable font to a static font for inclusion in the PDF, because we extracted from the PDF the static Hair Italic font that gets embedded, and saw that the bottom right point is misplaced in that font.

    I can't attach the pdf but I can send it to you for reproducibility.
