1. proportional scaling and Opt + drag copy feature not working

   Some, but not all, shift and option key functionality not working. I've tried both the Webroot SecureAnywhere fix (don't have this on my computer) and the keyboard unicode fix. Neither have helped. it's also inconsistent. it was working fine last night at home but not working this morning in my office.

3. InDesign performance issue: Lags when selecting and moving items using wacom tablet

   On a iMac with 32 GB RAM running under macOS 10.14.4 (18E226) InDesign v.14.0.2.324 with Wacom Intuos Pro tablet (6.3.24-1) in some documents cursor / items handling is unresponsive, lagging or too sensitive (click is registered when there was no click, dragging happens yet it wasn't been ignited).

4. font cache

   Fonts in Document fonts folder are not removeable anymore.
   I’m a typedesigner and check fonts by generating them into a Document fonts folder. In the past the fonts were always at once updated in Indesign, when I overwrote the fontfile. This does not work anymore.
   What is worse. A font that I generated into the folder is still visible in the font menue of the document, and I can still select and use it, even if the file does not exist anymore on the computer. It only disappears if I cut the internet. So it seems the font is stored online without my knowledge. And I can’t remove it. I’m using Indesign 14.0.3

5. Endnotes are out of sequence in captions and sidebars

   I work on books that often have endnotes in captions or sidebars. The captions/sidebars are always set up as separate frames (and sometimes as anchored objects). Any endnotes in separate frames end up at the end of the endnote list, regardless of where they fall in the page order.

6. Adjust Layout cuts off images

   When using adjust layout, no matter what setting are used and even when images all have "auto-fit" checked, the adjust layout function cuts off many images instead of resizing them with the frame.

7. InDesign does not honor whitespace on CC library vector graphics

   Example: I have a vector logo placed on a specifically sized artboard within Illustrator that has designated safety space around. the artwork, however InDesign adjusts the frame to fit the content within that dartboard instead of the artboard itself.

8. [ID-4199810]Cross reference takes more space than its text

   A cross reference sometimes takes up more space than its actual text.

   In the attached shows a frame with text with the right side of the text frame visible and the word "with" (above) extending well beyond the 2nd to last line in the frame. The "112" in the picture is a cross reference. When that cross reference is removed and "regular" text is typed in the 112 fits on the line.

9. 2020 Pages Window Broken

   Ever since updating to Indesign 2020 the pages window just doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times but no matter what I do it just shows it as completely blank. This makes it extremely difficult to access anything, let alone my master pages.

10. will not open

    indesign will not open documents when I open the program. It shows open but not tabs or home page and will not open any documents. Ive restarted my computer and uninstalled/reinstalled the program and the issue is still happening.

11. amélioration des tableaux dans INDESIGN CC 2020

    Bonjour, je souhaiterai que dans un tableau fait avec INDESIGN CC 2020 on puisse faire en sorte que les lignes horizontales des cellules ne touchent pas les lignes verticales des colonnes

    je l'ai fait manuellement sur cet essai
    je n'ai pas trouver de moyen de le gérer dans la rubrique tableau

12. Drive File Stream causing InDesign to crash

    InDesign v 14.0.2

    We use Drive File Stream for all of our file storing - which has been working great until last week when opening certain files made InDesign crash repeatedly. I have tried to save as an IDML, download locally and still have the crashing problem.

    When I go to open the file it will just freeze the application window, no panels visable and just the spinning Mac ball. Force quit and then reopen InDesign - then it freezes again each time upon reopening, before trying to open any files and I have to force quit again. The second time trying to reopen is successful.

    Drive file stream is working fine for most other files.

    InDesign v 14.0.2

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

13. TIFF images as assets in CC Libraries are always placed as PNG images on the document page

    1. Affected: InDesign CC all versions that are working with CC Libraries.
       Tested with InDesign CC 2018.1 and InDesign CC 2019 version 14.0.2.324 on Windows 10. InDesign versions on Mac OS X are also reported.

    2. Steps to reproduce the issue:
       Do a new CC Library.
       Add TIFF images saved from PhotoShop CC 2019 to the new library.
       Two options how you can do this that I know of:
       A. Drag the files from your file system to the open and empty library.
       B. Use Adobe Bridge CC 2019 to drag files to the open library.

    3. Expected result:
       If I want to use an image TIFF asset in my layout and place it on the page from a CC Library the placed image should show up as TIFF image with all the right properties, like the right color space, original resolution etc.pp.

    4. Actual result:
       The placed TIFF is converted to PNG, color space is always RGB, regradless of the original. Always indicating transparency. Even if the original file stored in the CC Library has no transparency at all.

14. Index sorting does not care about language setting

    1. InDesign 14.0.1 x64
    2. Create a document.

    Add an index reference for the word "Skrå".
    Add an index reference for the word "Skrivare".
    Add an index reference for the word "Överleva".
    Add an index reference for the word "Ondska".

    Go to index Sort Settings. Select Header Type Finnish/Swedish for the Roman script.

    Generate an index.

    Observe:
    Ondska is placed under O.
    Överleva is placed under Ö. Which is at the end of the alphabet. This is as it should be, here in Sweden-land.

    However:
    Skrivare is placed below Skrå. Despite å being placed last in the swedish alphabet. We have "å, ä ö" after z.

    In other words: Index sections care about sort options. There seems to be no way to make the sorting of the actual topics respect the same sort options.

    The only way I've found to generate a proper swedish index is to install the shudder swedish version of InDesign.

    This seems weird to me. I should be able to create documents in other languages than the one InDesign itself is using. And most of InDesign supports this – dictionary languages can be chosen by paragraph, but the index will always be generated based on the InDesign UI language...

    1. InDesign 14.0.1 x64

    The animated gif in attachment does not animate in InDesign or when part of a published ebook. I used the Mac iBook to view it.

16. Forced line breaks within text variables introduces an unavoidable letter space

    When a forced line break is inserted within text that is used for a variable, a random, unavoidable letter space is introduced into the variable text.
    There are obvious workarounds, but a solution to this would be really convenient.

17. Dragging images

    I haven't been able to drag photos once I import them into InDesign or even Illustrator. It worked for a split second after restarting my computer, but once I stopped dragging it, I could no longer drag the photo or any other photo.

19. Swatch window can't type in tint %

    Swatch window allows you to set a Tint percent, but it can only be controlled via slider, which jumps in strange increments. It will not allow you to type in an exact percentage for the tint. Why does this one critically important window not work as well as every other tool?

20. Swatch window can't be expanded

    The fill and stoke windows cannot be expanded like all other tool windows, this is really annoying. I want to be able to look at 10-20 swatches at a time, not 5.
