2. Based on paragraph style doesn't show group the style is in

   In Indesign 2020 when paragraph styles are based on other paragraph styles that are within a group, the based on area does not indicate which group the style is in, it only shows the name of the style. Which makes it difficult to know which actual style it's based on if you have multiple styles with the same name that are in various groups. Screen shots of Indesign 2020 attached and Indesign CS6 where it did show the group name in the based on area.

4. Buttons and bookmarks doesn't work properly

   Some work fine in the same page! I´ve had try changing the file name, re-done every text box, replace text and bookmarked its again, but nothing happens.

   I get a corrupted PDF file after export to PDF print.
   Latest version, restarted, tried different settings, does not give error when exporting.

6. Actual size (with web artboards) does not shows the actual pixels sizes

   Issue to visualise correctly the zoom in indesign

   with 2 identical artboards for web (300x300px) one in indesign and one in photoshop, click on 'view' 'actual size'.. the difference is huge

   Seems photoshop scaling looks ok

   and indesign is way bigger than the real size in Pixels

7. InDesign 2020: crashing, undo doesn't work, missing fonts, text wrap is broken, so many bugs

   The Undo bug is back. I tried to undo some text (in a table) and it reverted the document back to the previous save and then crashed.

   On re-opening, ID complains that it can't find my installed fonts that I used in the document. They show up in the document, it just complains that they are not there. These are fonts that I bought and installed, so I know they are available.

   I have also been having problems with text wrap not working half the time. I set a box (I've tried both image and text boxes) to text wrap and nothing will happen. Text still flows under the box. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it suddenly starts working on things that wouldn't text wrap the day before, so there is no way to try to repeat the bug to figure out the trigger.

   Also, the mechanism to convert a 2020 document back to 2019 so I can actually get things done with working software doesn't work, go fig. It crashed when I tried to use it.

   InDesign 15.0.1
   MacOS 10.15.3

   As per the customer, the issue got resolved by uninstall and re installation of InDesign 2020.

9. Unable to drag & drop images within text frame through custom plugin on Indesign CC2020

   We have a custom plugin, we are using this plugin since Indesign CS4. We have an option to drag & drop images from this plugin pallet into Indesign Layout. With the latest CC2020 SDK, we have upgraded our plugin from CC18 to CC2020 & it works fine on all other functionality except "Drag & drop" within text frame.

   We didn't made any update to the code, the same option works fine till CC2019. Is there any known issue with CC2020 sdk for drag & drop?

   Note: Drag & drop allows us to place the image at left top corner of the image frame, also the mouse pointer get transforms into "T" instead of "+" symbol, when we drag over text frame.

   We have a custom plugin, we are using this plugin since Indesign CS4. We have an option to drag & drop images from this plugin pallet into Indesign Layout. With the latest CC2020 SDK, we have upgraded our plugin from CC18 to CC2020 & it works fine on all other functionality except "Drag & drop" within text frame.

   We didn't made any update to the code, the same option works fine till CC2019. Is there any known issue with CC2020 sdk for drag & drop?

10. InDesign hyperlink %0D bug

    When I cut and paste URLs from a text document into the hyperlink dialog box, I can accidentally get a carriage return included. InDesign "includes" the carriage return in the one-line dialog box field but gives no indication that it's there.

    Once I export the InDesign document to a PDF and then click on the link in the PDF, the link shows with a %0D at the end and it fails with a 404 not found.

    This is extremely annoying because InDesign gives no indication that the carriage return is there with its one-line link dialog box field.

    What should happen is InDesign should truncate control characters at the end of a URL. It should also truncate spaces at the end of a URL because we've seen %20 show up occasionally as well and that also can't easily be seen and causes the URL to fail. Have your programmers truncate any character at the end of a URL that is ASCII 20 or less and you will be golden!

11. Pixelation of transparent .png's mostly using logos when exporting to PDF

    Used a high quality logo, even took the time to replace it a second time. Same result.
    Creates a pixelated black outline, even after replacing it a couple of times.

12. Spinning Ball Every Couple of Keystrokes

    I get the spinning ball every few seconds with InDesign - extremely frustrating! I've tried everything suggested in the community forums.

    I'm running a brand new MacBook Pro (16" 2020 with 2.3GHz/Radeon Pro 5500M/32GB/2TB), with Catalina 10.15.6 and InDesign CC 15.1.2. I've used this MBP for LESS THAN A WEEK, and have NO preferences established-it's super clean right now.

    So frustratingly slow! Spinning ball every couple of keystrokes. Productivity killed.

    I tried everything people have recommended in the community forum including dumping preferences; turning off GPU Performance; changing color preferences to Apple RGB; I have no 3rd party applications running; this is not a complex or large document, and it does not use large photos.

    I finally turned off WiFi. That worked immediately. Now I have to turn off WiFi anytime I use InDesign??

    This seems like a huge problem that Adobe needs to fix asap - it's ONGOING and NOT new. There is a lot of pent up frustration in users, and Adobe should be careful because people are looking for alternative solutions and will jump ship fast if they find one. I've been a loyal Adobe user, but I can't continue to work like this. It's ridiculous. Please fix this problem asap. Thanks.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

       2.1 Create a paragraph with some lines
       2.2. Define it with: Paragraph pannel>Justification>Composer>Adobe World Ready Paragraph Composer
       2.3 Full justify the Paragraph and change one space to non breaking space.

    2. Expected result
       Non breaking space should be the same width like all the spaces in the same line.

    3. Actual result
       Non Breaking Space is smaller than regular space in the same line

    There is no workaround unless the document is not in Hebrew and then you can choose the Adobe paragraph Composer instead of the World ready Paragraph composer.

18. InDesign 2020 Middle Eastern, Arabic language causes reversed numbers order

    When working with Arabic and wanting to have Roman Digits, one needs to choose the "Arabic" digits option.
    More option that should be set for Arabic are:
    Character direction should be set to "default"
    Paragraph direction should be set to "Right to Left"
    Paragraph composer should be set to "Adobe World-Ready Paragraph Composer"
    Language should be set to "Arabic"
    Ligatures should be "On"

    BUT
    If I type a date that suppose to be presented like this:
    9/1/2020
    as soon as selecting "Arabic" for language the order is reversed to this:
    2020/1/9

    As digits has a built in Left to Right direction, all neutral characters between the numbers should get the same definition. This is how it worked until the 2020 update.
    Now it looks that all the "/" characters where not effected by the numbers direction and remained Right to Left direction.

    Bonjour, Le souci est que sur BR mes fichiers Indd et les exports pour impression en PDF ne contiennent aucune mention de "Profil Colorimétrique", alors que mes logiciels Adobe ont bien la même gestion de couleur à savoir : PREPRESSE EUROPE > COATED FOGRA39
    J'ai beau Attribuer ou Convertir en profil cela ne fonctionne pas !
    Sinon, pouvez-vous me donner la manipulation à faire ?
