1. Glyphs automatically replaced with indesign 15.0.1 update

   After updating to version 15.0.1 indesign replaced automatically one of the glyphs of the Source Sans Pro font.
   If the same file is openend with a previous version of indesign, glyph returns to its original appearance.

2. InDesign help/welcome screen

   I don't like the fact that the, what looks like a "welcome screen" always pops up after closing InDesign work page. I was told it it's a UI of the application.
   Please find a way for us to turn that off. I find it annoying and not helpful during my work day.

3. Color font printing in muted colors in pdf/print

   There are some issues with the rendering/printing of color-fonts (created with Fontself) in InDesign 2020. This looks like a bug because switching from pdf 1.6 to pdf 1.3 and back to 1.6 in the pdf export dialog-box solves the issue. This isn't an option in our InDesign server setup though. Are there any ideas for a workaround?

4. Click, click-drag combinations no longer work as they did previously.

   Upon upgrading to 15.1.1, on Mac OS 10.14.16 Mojave

   -Triple-clicking won't select a whole line, and, yes, I selected "triple-click to select whole line" in preferences.

   Double-clicking does won't switch from the object tool to the text tool.

   Double-click and drag won't extend the selection.

   I didn't find anything in the Mac OS, Wacom, or InDesign prefs that referenced click or click-drag options. Adjusting double-click speed doesn't change this bug.

   If these features were disabled to take advantage of the swipe features of Apple mouse and tablet gestures, please add a preference option to use a standard mouse.

   This bug is really slowing down my work.

   When pasting a group of layers from one document to another it would be great of InDesign would honor the sort order when the layers land in the receiving document. Also if the layer colors can stay the same.

   I often paste between documents and it is not fun having the manual sort the layers. How about a sort selected layer by "X' as an option. Typically I number these direct mail layers in numerical order.

   This is very important with direct mail clients with variable data. The printers prefer all versions for the different branch offices in a 2-page front and back INDD file for both digital and traditional printing as well.

7. InDesign freezes and then crashes

   Version: InDesign 15.0.1 x64
   Issue(s): 1. One example is that when working in InDesign and go to save a file the application shows that the icon is spinning and never seems to stop spinning. Then an error message pops up on the screen indicating some sort of issue and then the application crashes to the desktop.
   2. When opening up a file that I have been working on it takes a while to open and when it does open it opens a prior file that I was working on.
   Expected Results: 1. When saving a file I am expecting the application to save as normal and to bring me back to the application and not crash.
   2. To open the file that I requested to be opened.
   Actual Result: 1. File does not save as expected, errors out and then the application crashes.
   2. File requested to be opened opens, but opens with another file as well.
   Example: See attached Windows Event log for application crash details for issue #1.

   Version: InDesign 15.0.1 x64

   We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

   We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

8. Master Items misssing when used based on page

   Using Windows 7 or Mac OS no matter even it's in preview Indesign CC.

   I found this and very annoying to fix it manually in master page items.

   Steps Created Master Page A for body text pages
   Created master Page B: As a chapter opener. It's based on Master A. Only removed top running header.

   Now applied in pages:
   Left side page : Master Page A.
   Right side page chapter opener and applied Master Page B

   Result: Part of Running Header is disappear in Left Side Page, right side page ok as is.

   Am I missing something. Getting this kind of result from previous version of Indesign CC

   PS: When I removed based on features. Everything is ok. Even If item is within page, then also it's ok. If the items is touching the page edge or bleeding then it disappears.

   After further investigating, came to this conclusion: it only happens if used based on features in master pages and after removing editing header part. Effects on the item that bleeds. in this case Master page A.

   Refer the attachment for details.

9. Deleting Preference files

   I crashed when I boot up and the message says I need to delete the Preferences files but Alt-Ctl-Shift doesn't show the expected Preferences file message upon startup. Is there another way to delete Preference files?

10. 2020 InDesign Mac OS Catalina Layers

    layers are not working in the correct order using Indesign 15.0 (2020) and Mac OS Catalina 10.15.3. ALso transparency and FX effects are not working correctly.

    Also, When opening a packaged file the Images are not displaying in the document, just gey blocks where images should display. All links are correct in the Links tool palette.

    I need help with ll these problems

11. Superscript numbering in number list

    When superscript character style is applied to the number of a numbered list the size is set correctly but the baseline shift is not applied. I.E. you end up with a small number on the baseline.

12. Smart Quotes in Footnote

    Smart Quotes in Footnote

    I use Indesign in a Mac mini. The automatic typographical smart quotes do not work when I type in the footnotes i.e. During normal typing in a page a straight single or double quote is automatically changed to smart quotes. But in the footnote it does not seem to do it automatically.

14. Darstellungsfehler in der neuen Review-Funktion

    Problem: Platzierung einer (sehr einfachen) nativen Illustrator-Grafik mit einigen Deckkraftmasken funktioniert in InDesign prima, aber in der Review-Darstellung sind plötzlich Elemente halbtransparent zu sehen, die ganz bzw. gar nicht dort sein dürften. Offenbar ist diese Voransicht deutlich weniger präzise als ein erzeugtes PDF ... ?!?

15. InDesign 15.11 - Share for review: LINKS panel does not appear, even when Window shows it is active.

    Share for Review only works in Advanced platform, but controls disappear at top. Link window does not appear even when selected. Switched to Book platform and got controls back, but Share for Review comments disappeared.

16. InDesign Comment Area for Edits and Notes

    Is there a note feature in InDesign to add notes for edits? I have always added a text box from a copied email but wonder if their is a sidebar utility so I don't loose the notes as I page scroll. Normally I have 2 screens but I think this feature would be cool as I continue my career in InDesign.

17. Find/Change queries are changing font (INDD 15.0.3)

    When I save a named find/change query, the font family Clickbits is replaced with Myriad. Individual find/changes work fine, but the queries just won't retain the correct font name.

19. "Fit frame to content" doesn't work anymore after a lot of pages in file

    Working on a catalogue, a lot of files in a book. The "fit frame to content" works good until after a lot of pages (I think after 50 or 60 pages) suddenly it doesn't work anymore. With a textframe & also tableframe. But with an image it still works...
    Also very change, when you split the textframe in for example 2, on the second textframe it will work (fit frame to content).
    All the fit options don't work for text & tableframes.
    The right-click and choose the option don't work and also the shortcut doesn't work.

    2 other colleagues have the problem too (same version).

    We use this option a lot, because we imported an XML and then we need to adjust the textframe after placing it on the page.

    Hope this problem will be fixed soon, haven't seen anyone reporting this issue. Thank you!

20. I can't type lower case c but can type other lower case letters.

    I can't type lower case c but can type other lower case letters. For example when I type pickle I get pikle. It also switches the font.
