2. Exporting a PDF from Indesign is creating Form Xobject containers for everything.

   This is happening to me now and is messing everything up for 508 accessibility remediation. Copied this from another user. "The latest version of InDesign exports PDF's in which most all the tagged content is in an Xobject container, making accessibility remediation MUCH MORE DIFFICULT. This is a huge step backwards. Attached are two examples, from the same client, annual reports- last year's was fine, this year's has all the xobject issues. Please advise, help, fix, something!!!"

3. "Hue" effect on rectangle breaks anti-aliasing of text

   Description: "Hue" effect on rectangle breaks anti-aliasing of text
   Version: InDesign 2020 (15.0.2. x64)
   OS: Windows 10 (10.0.18363 Build 18363)

   Reproduction:
   1. Create a text frame and fill it with any text
   2. Create a rectangle on the same page and go to Window -> Effects, and set the rectangle's effect to "Hue"
   3. Text on that same page no longer appears anti-aliased

   Figured this out while trying to find out why all the text looked so bad. Ended up copying things to a new document (where text wasn't jagged) one by one, and eventually narrowed it down to the hue effect. Might be worth checking other effects for this problem?

4. Books Panel Does Not Operate as a Standard Panel

   The Books panel does not operate in the same manner as other, standard panels. When re-positioned, the panel size is changed, and the Workspace is updated or a new workspace is created, the Books panel does not 'remember' the changes that were placed on it. For the user, this is extremely frustrating behavior. The books panel should, at a minimum, remember its position/size in relation to a given workspace.

5. All InDesign 15.0x EXTREMELY SLOW

   All InDesign 15.0x is EXTREMELY SLOW, almost unusable.
   I had to go back to version 14.03 to be able to work. This is on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, v1909. It takes minutes to paste a picture.
   Something has gone wrong in the Adobe world!

7. Problem with variable fonts letter tracking

   1. Adobe Indesign 15.1.2

   2. There is a problem with letter tracking in variable fonts (please see attached photo)
      I've tried two licensed variable fonts and it occurs with all of them
      (Myriad Variable & 29lt Bukra Variavle)
      I've not changed the default values for letter kerning nor tracking.

   3. Expected results: I expect the text to have the correct letter tracking

   4. Actual results: bad letter tracking (please see attached photo)

8. Indesign to Illustrator die line wrong dimensions

   Indesign 15.1.2
   At times, when exporting cut paths via PDF from Indesign to Illustrator, the cut paths will come in smaller than they should be. See attached screenshot. Both the red trapezoid and black rectangle say they are 36" x 24" in Indesign. When exported via PDF to Illustrator, the trapezoid is 35.875" x 24" but the rectangle stays true to 36 x 24.
   I can see why this is, Indesign isn't reading the true dimensions of the rounded corner object. It's reading them as if it still has "none" applied to the corners. This could cause issues with fit when creating parts that have to fit into exhibits or frames. Please fix? Thanks.

9. insert Previous or Next page number does not work

   insert Previous or Next page number does not work. I want to have folios of "Pages 1 and 2" where I need to have the next page#. Inserting a marker (previous page or Next page results in the current page number.

   The proper way to use this feature has been explained. It works like this:

   The extra text frame (containing the Previous/Next Page Number) need not be linked to the text frame to which it refers. It just has to touch that text frame.

   The way this feature works is that you have a text frame that contains some text on a certain page. That text continues on a different page that is random. So, for example, in a magazine, you have an article that starts on page 11, and then it continues on page 80. In that case, you will create a separate text frame on page 11, make it touch the text frame that contains the article and put "Continued on Page . Similarly, on page 80, you will create a separate text frame and make it touch the article and put "Continued from Page .
   When you do that, on Page 11 you will see “Continued on Page 80” and on Page 80 you will see “Continued from Page 11”. And this remains dynamic in the sense that if you add or delete pages in the magazine, the Page Number in Continued on/Continued from changes automatically based on where the article continues on and where it is continued from.

   We hope now you’d understand why this feature is designed the way it is.

    • Textrahmen mit Text aktivieren, gedrückten Taste (cmd und alt soweit ich mich noch erinnere), mit Maus Textrahmen Ecke anfassen und ziehen um zu skalieren
      -> Das ging früher, ist aber seit einigen Versionen nicht mehr verfügbar oder verändert. Ich finde es nicht mehr und auch keinen Hinweis darauf, wo es jetzt ist

13. Exporting tagged PDF from InDesign 2020 but shows up as not tagged in Acrobat

    Using InDesign 15.1.1 and the newest Acrobat Pro DC

    I'm creating an accessible document using InDesign and when I export to PDF and open in Acrobat, it's telling me the document isn't tagged. I've made sure the check box is ticked for create Tagged PDF. Not sure what's going wrong?

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

17. [UI] Edit in Textmode – window won't open

    When opening the "Edit in Textmode" / "Im Textmodus bearbeiten" (cmd + Y) the window will not show up.

    I have tested this on several macs in our company with different kind of additional monitor setups or no extra monitor attached.

    InDesign Version 15.1.1

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Take what ever textframe you want => Cmd + Y or rightclick "Im Textmodus bearbeiten" / "Edit in Textmode"
    2. The Window will not show up and you might think it is broken...
    3. It shows up when you go to New => Page for example (Or probably update the UI in any way? not sure - did not test much further but this works)

20. Adding "Current Page" marker to TOC targeted paragraph doesn't use page numbering format

    Using "Current Page" in text that will be used for the TOC ignores page numbering. If I start a section on page 5, the TOC shows page 1 even though the "Current Page" on the specified page is correct.
