Allow more formatting of running heads
I'm working on a book whose running heads use both bold and roman type. (Chapter 1: Chapter title where "Chapter 1:" is bold and "Chapter TItle" is roman. As far as I know, I can't use variables or automatic section heads to format this way so have resorted to having a separate master page for each chapter.

In the paragraph options, we should have an option for how long the last word in a paragraph must be in order to turn down to its own line. Wording could be "minimum of __ characters on last line" And allow us to turn this feature on or off in addition to specifying the number of characters on the last line.

Quick image adjustments in InDesign
Sometimes when creating a document I need to ever so slightly brighten the image or adjust the contrast, maybe increase the saturation; and standard workflow means pulling these up in Photoshop and applying the changes and the saving (often as a new file so as to preserve the original).
This always seems like alot of effort for something that I feel could be done on InDesigns side.
I am suggesting image quick adjustments.
So an image is coming out slightly too dark. No worries, right click, apply quick adjustments. A new tool box will open that will have basic image adjustments (brightness, contrast, saturation etc) all on sliders that one can apply to the selected image. These changes are then applied to the image non-destructively and can be edited or removed at any time.
The changes made should be able to be saved as object styles.
I feel this will increase work flow in a lot of design situations, be very user friendly so wont be any learning curve and keep InDesign ahead of the competition.

63 votesThank you for voting for the feature request.
It will be helpful if you can add your responses for the below queries.1. In the absence of this feature in InDesign – how do you make these adjustments today?
2. Once the image is imported into InDesign, what kind of adjustments do you mostly need?
3. On an average, in a project, how many images need adjustments once they are imported into InDesign?

Let baseline shift be expressed as a percentage of the font size
If I've created a paragraph style, sometimes I add a character style with a different size for specific purposes, usually either a bullet point or a quote mark (to highlight a pullquote, for example).
In practice, this means a bullet point is usually smaller, and the quote mark is larger than the rest of the paragraph text. I alter this size as a horizontal and vertical scale, NOT a specific size in points, as this lets the characters scale in proportion when I alter the type size of the paragraph style.
However, I usually also include a baseline shift in the character style for aesthetic reasons, and as this is an absolute value it doesn't scale.
It would be great if I could express it as a percentage, as then it would scale perfectly - a 10pt character with a 20% baseline shift applied would have the equivalent of a 2pt baseline shift; but if I changed the character size to 15pt, the 20% would equate to 3pt, and everything would remain in proportion and consistent.

Download PDF in Share For review.
We want to be able to download PDF from Share for Review in Adobe CC Web. This feature was being tried out and got released accidentally and hence has been removed.

Add "Blur" Panel (for all Elements like Boxes/Images/Groups) as in XD
There should be an easy and time saving option to blur (0-100%) any elements in InDesign – just like the possibilities in Adobe XD. Especially for creating great web designs this would be a big benefit (more possibilities, less time).

Sub-folder grouping master pages
Implement a more robust system for grouping and organizing master pages. Current the long list view is cumbersome, and has limited view options (aside from the thumbnail size). A sub-folder system would allow for more truncated views of page groups that fit better in defined sets.

Access CC Library Assets via Script
The ability to access assets from a classic ID library and place them on the artboard via script works great. It would be even better if these functionalities are also possible with CC libraries. This move would push more developers to the cloud environment of Adobe in my opinion.
Currently there are some cloud-related methods like 'placeCloudAsset' and 'setCloudLibraryCollection' listed inside the ID-DOM but these seem to be for internal use only.

Add row/column dimensions to table styles
When a document includes multiple similar tables, I would like to be able to quickly set them up to have the same column widths for better consistency. Adding this kind of information to styles seems the most logical place for it.

Place Photoshop artboards into InDesign
We need to be able to place Photoshop artboards into InDesign.
This should work similar to placing Illustrator artboards or placing pages from a PDF or another InDesign file.
Thanks.
60 votesThanks for the info. This is indeed correct that since the various artboards come in as a layers the dimensions are of the entire document which can be problematic. Adding this to our backlog.

Show Masterpages overrides.
There's no way you can tell that someone did alter or remove MasterPage-items on a document page. You should add a little + sign next to the page icon in the Pages panel. Just like altered Paragraph Styles.

InDesign on iPad
Photoshop is coming to iPad. When is InDesign doing the same?
As a designer, I carry iPad all the time and it would be real time-saver to have my favorite application on iPad.59 votes -

Static Endnotes
I need a possibility to turn off the automatic endnote function that appears in InDesign CC 2018. It may be practical for some applications, but it greatly impedes the flexibility of many designs. Can someone tell me if this is possible – the endnotes don't need to be dynamic for my purposes. The way they were imported when placing a Word document in ID CC 2017 was fine.
Richt now, the only way I know to work around it is to use Peter Kahrel's footnote to endnote script.57 votesHello All,
