1. Filter & Labels in (Object/Character/Paragraph) Style Panels

   As in Photoshop's and InDesign's Layer Panel it would be very helpfull to have the option for colored Labels/Flags.
   Also, like in Photoshop, a filter/search option on top of the Style Panels would help organizing complex files (newspaper/magazine templates) and speeding up the process.

2. I enter a date i.e. through date picker, ID handles displayed output

   I am running into the same problem for years: In program brochures spanning a whole year with 200+ events and multiple references throughout the brochure, clients provide wrong information (i. e. wrong day of the week for a specific date or a wrong year).

   How about this: In a text frame or table cell, I could have a date picker or I´d write down every date in the same format, say like this: [DD.MM.YYYY] (since I am in Germany that would be my local format). Through magic/witch craft, InDesign would recognize the variable as a date and handle it according to my character-/paragraph-/or GREP-styles. InDesign would then generate the output: "Samstag, 25.02.17", or "SA 25", or "25. Februar 2017", or "02/25/17", or however I specify the date to be displayed in that table/paragraph/document.

   Since in event calendars or program brochures nobody wants a wrong day of the week next to the date and since "day of the week" can be calculated, I think it´s a big win for everyone, right?

3. Align to page when only one object is selected

   It would be helpful if the align command defaulted to align to page when only one object is selected. There is no risk of confusion as an object cannot be aligned with itself :)

   This would remove a lot of unnecessary switching back and forth in the align options, as the default use case at least for me is align to selection.

4. Add German: Reform 2017

   Last year in Germany, a new spelling reform has been published. Currently our indesign only offers spelling according to the German Reform 2006: Please advise whether it is possible to update the German Reform to 2017 indesign
   I asked Adobe support online but he asked me submit this feature requests.

5. Add Equation Editor

   Please add Equation Editor, because it is very essential in publishing, utilising the mirroring feature in opentype, in order to serve RTL scripts. However Adobe had provided the world with pioneer programs and very excellent design tools, but unfortunately they still too late in this field.

7. export all the text to word

   Would it be possible to add a function to export all the text of all blocks, chained or not, from a document in one go to word.
   I make directories and my clients always want to recover the text once the published directory to make their changes for the next issue.

8. Expand PublishOnline Analytics

   I absolutely love PublishOnline. Is there a plan anytime soon to add to the analytics capabilities with Adobe PublishOnline anytime soon? The features on the dashboard for all published documents are great, but it would be even better to have those same analytics broken down by document - not just views and readers. I'd like to know how much time is spent, for instance, in a newsletter I've published vs. a catalog or flyer. And it would be great to know which documents tend to be read more on tablets vs desktop, rather than all of them as a whole. Many of my documents are quite different from each other and have different audiences. Any plans in the works for adding to the dashboard features?

So many great constructive ideas on here and you do a good job implementing the popular ones. Unlike other apps that seem totally oblivious to user feedback (looking at you, Acrobat!), indesign has been getting genuinely better with every recent update. It’s exciting to see new user-recommended features put in place. Please continue listening to popular feedback requests and avoid changing things just for the sake of change (looking at you again, Acrobat).

   PS Can you go over to whatever planet the Acrobat team is on and help them out, maybe give them a few pointers ;-) ?

11. Publish Online: Toggle Thumbnails

    1. Publish Online: I would like to have the option to show Toggle Thumbnails automatically - to show Toggle Thumbnails in the first initial view.
    2. This would be valuable to those who are not familiar with these Published docs. They do not search for the Toggle Thumbnails option and will never know that they can jump around within the doc.

12. Dynamic baseline related unit of measurement

    Please consider the addition of a dynamic unit of measurement that relates to the document’s baseline. Such a unit will make it possible to express various parameters throughout the design as a multiplication or division of the document’s baseline.

    We would for example be able to express a header’s leading as twice the number of baselines, or a paragraph’s space after in any number of baselines.

    The unit’s relation to the document‘s baseline means that it’s dynamic: whenever you change the baseline, all values expressed in this unit will change accordingly. There will be no more need to adjust these parameters manually.

    1. The way this request is described its majorly about figuring out how to change the various text attributes in a single step rather than having to change multiple styles to make that happen. It would helpful if you can mention which all attributes you all would want to be dependent on the baseline (space before/after, size, leading any other).
    2. Which kind of documents (magazines, brochures, books etc.) do you see this to be more important for you.
    3. Wouldn’t a similar method (not sure if we could base it on baseline though!!) for changing the layout also help, if you could define the sizes of objects in relation to the page size. Do you think extending this feature to the layout also makes sense.
    4. If you can share some files as well which depict the before and after states described in this feature that would help.

13. [Feature request] Please add "Page Flip" to presentation mode

    Please add a "Page Flip" feature to the presentation mode in Adobe indesign. Something like this: https://pageflip-books.com/#meetpageflip/page/4-5 ...

    Adding the ability to turn/flip pages in a multipage document, it will enhance the user experience. When clients are seated next to the designer, it will also improve customer satisfaction.

15. Adjust Layout - Columns change no longer works.

    In older versions of InDesign, if you had Adjust Layout on, and changed the columns, the content of the page would adjust. Now if you change the column amount, Adjust Layout turns off. Please bring back the old feature, the new way and work around is terrible and also defeats the function of Master Pages.

16. Overscroll Feature

    It would be so nice to be able to enable overscroll in Indesign like you can in Photoshop. It feels so claustrophobic not being able to overscroll.

17. More than 10 page spreads.

    Allow the user to connect much more than 10 pages together in InDesign. I would like this so I can organize a large document with many pages. I am creating a digital book about plant taxonomy and would like to organize the pages this ways so that I can easily navigate this large document taxonomically while in the program. The pages will be printed individually so the layout in the document is not for the printing process but for organization.

18. Stop making the CC Libraries the default!!!!!!!

    I am sick and tired of the Library panel popping open because there are embedded defaults that make EVERY new thing I make think it needs to be added to the cc library.

    I DON"T WANT TO USE THEM AS DEFAULT!!!!

    If I want to use them I will decide.,

    STOP MAKING IT THE DEFAULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

19. Table numbering for multipage tables

    Need to repeat table numbering on every page of very long tables.

    The publisher requires this type of table layout. The last page of the table should begin with the line "End of Table 1.1", all pages, starting from the second and up to the penultimate page should begin with the line "Continuation of Table 1.1". Now we have to do this by inserting an additional text frame on each page with a long table or an additional master page, but in the case of moving tables, we have to spend a lot of extra time

20. Import PDF Comments - Further Enhancements

    We'd like to include the below options in the recently added feature in InDesign CC 2019, called 'Import PDF Comments':

    (1) We'll be adding few default PDF pages after exporting PDF from InDesign, please confirm how to handle this when importing back to InDesign?

    (2) We'll be receiving special characters like greek, symbols, etc. within PDF annotations, please confirm how to apply specific font to those characters, if they're not available in the current paragraph font, currently they're showing as missing glyphs?

    (3) We'll be sharing the secured PDF to our external users, please confirm how to allow them to do PDF annotations?

    (4) We'll receiving the PDFs annotations with new contents as attachments, please confirm how it need to be handled after importing the PDF into InDesign CC 2019?

    (5) Sometimes our external users will mark the annotation with the Status: Cancelled / Rejected / Reply, please confirm how it need to be accessed in InDesign CC 2019?

    (6) Is it possible to ignore the selective annotations?

    (7) Is it possible to revert the already accepted annotations?

    (8) Is it possible to respond back the comments to the external users for the particular annotations?

    (9) Is it possible to retain the pending comments when exporting back to PDF?

    (10) How to access the comments one-by-one thro' Scripting, currently it's possible only to accept all the comments?

    Will share additional details once they're ready.
