Need option for auto-fit in table cell style
When I reduce the text size in table, the rows height not fit automatically and its manual work to fit the each row for whole table. It's make easier if we have option to fit the cell height automatically based on content like Object style "Auto-Size"option.

While I can adjust the height and width fine using 'at least', there isn't an option to allow flexibility of the columns while fixing the table width. Right now if I add content to the left column, lets say I had 1 icon and now I want 2, it bumps the right column out wider instead of adjusting the width of the right column smaller.

I work in the industrial sector and this would be very very beneficial to me. I'm constantly having to resize the text in cells and an autofit option would help enormously.
I think this functionnality should be adapted to the Width of cells as well. It'll be great to be able to double-clic on the right line of a cell to create an auto-fit of the cell upon the content.
Very much like the function with the text frames, in fact. Easy, intuitive

i don't really see the problem here? since you're talking about the HEIGHT - this already fits automatically based on the content if you set the height to "minimum" instead of "exact" in my german version it's "Genau" and "Mindestens".
For the Width i agree with @Barb Binder - the current options are horrible - Tables can't even autofit to textframes without a script. :|

Adding row height controls to cell styles would be a great addition to InDesign.
Also, FrameMaker has a column resize option that I miss in InDesign—where you can select a column and ask Fm to scan the entire column (potentially across multiple pages) and size the column to fit the widest entry. It's really useful for the stub.
